America's Next Top Model/Trivia

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

  • Early-Bird Cameo: Cycle 8 winner Jaslene Gonzales was first seen during the Cycle 7 casting week. She was cut before the final 13.
    • Tiffany Richardson, Marvita Washington, Kacey Leggett and Angelea Preston were, respectively, casting week rejects of Cycles 3, 9, 11 and 12 before making it as finalists for Cycles 4, 10, 15 and 14 (and 17 for the latter).
    • Cycle 9 winner Saleisha was featured in Cycle 6 as a working model. This, coupled with her participation in Tyra's modeling camp, caused controversy to her win.
  • Four Is Death:
    • Cycle 4 featured the first double elimination in the franchise's history. It also had perhaps THE worst photo in the entire history of the franchise and it was the first time the audience saw Tyra on a really bad day (after the aforementioned double elimination). Another criticism that Cycle was the good photos weren't as relevant as the previous and preceding Cycles resulting to some Shocking Eliminations.
    • Majority of the returning girls during the All-Stars Cycle were former fourth placers (six, but since two of them are also third placers due to double eliminations, technically they're four). None of them won the game and all were eliminated in dramatic fashion. The first girl eliminated was the fourth placer from the fourth Cycle. Later on, a double elimination axed two former fourth placers simultaneously, one already a victim of this in the past. The following episode then saw the elimination of another fourth placer. During the top five, one became a victim of a controversial Shocking Elimination in favor of the remaining fourth placer from Cycle fourteen, who became the resident Elimination Houdini by surviving four eliminations and ultimately making it to the finals, only to be disqualified in the end.
      • Also noteworthy is that four Cycles (3, 6, 7 & 8) were unrepresented, though the winner from one of those unrepresented Cycles (Eva from 3) made a guest appearance.
      • The fourth placer that Cycle was from Cycle thirteen.
  • Fridge Brilliance: The All-Stars Cycle had plenty:
    • Tyra added the word again to the end of her usual pre-Elimination Catchphrase ("one of them will be going home") during the All-Stars Cycle, reflecting that Cycle's My Greatest Second Chance theme. However, she just uttered her regular pre-Elimination Statement in two occasions. First in episode 9 when Shannon and Laura were the bottom two. And then in episode 12 when the bottom two were Allison and Laura. The reason is that the girls mentioned were runner-ups from their original Cycles.
    • Angelea's "Persistent" brand.
    • The final two for this Cycle were Lisa and Allison. Originally, Lisa was from Cycle 5 while Allison was from Cycle 12. Adding five and twelve will sum up to seventeen (5+12=17). All-Stars was the seventeenth Cycle.
    • Lisa was the first non-winner to guest during an on-going season (Cycle 6 along with Janice Dickinson). Winning the cycle featuring non-winning contestants somewhat makes it relevant.
  • Hey, It's That Guy!: Somebody recognized Allison as Creepy-Chan and the rest is history. She's the most popular contestant to date because of this.
  • Old Shame:
    • The show for many former contestants; it's common for those that become working models to change their name.
    • Tyra's music video that was made in a challenge from Cycle 2.
    • Cycle 1's winner Adrianne Curry is one for the show.
