Batman Forever/YMMV

Awesome Music: Two particularly memorable singles from the movie, "Hold Me Thrill Me Kiss Me Kill Me" by U2 and "Kiss From A Rose" by Seal (which won him four Grammys, including Song of the Year). Elliot Goldenthal's score was not too shabby either, but your mileage may vary as to whether or not it was up to snuff with Danny Elfman's music.
- Heck, the entire soundtrack is top-notch, including covers of "The Passenger" and "The Hunter Gets Captured By The Game", "Smash It Up", "8", and one that's totally appropriate for The Riddler: "Bad Days".
Contested Sequel: It's considered either fun despite being inferior and Lighter and Softer, or just outright disgraceful.
Fashion Victim Villain: The Riddler in spades. Two-Face's penchant for pink also qualifies.
Ham and Cheese: Downside; the first movie in the franchise to have Bat-Nipples™. Upside; Jim Carrey babbling about "brainwave manipulation", stating that his neon wardrobe keeps him "safe while jogging at night." Ham and cheese on rye.
- Not to mention Tommy Lee Jones, who appeared to be having a rip-roaring good time playing Two-Face.
Hilarious in Hindsight: Sam Raimi lobbied to direct a movie where The Sadistic Choice basically boiled down to The Hero having to decide between his civilian Love Interest or his superhero life and getting out of it by Taking a Third Option. Sounds familiar...
- Christian Bale audtioned for the role of Robin but was turned down. Ten years later he'd have a more prolific role.

Ho Yay: Two Face and the Riddler are getting pretty damn affectionate towards the end of the film.
- They were cuddling.
- The Riddler's last outfit change is inspired in Two Face's half suit half Elton John outfit. And he pretty much acts like a fanboy when he sees Two Face on Tv for the first time. Two Face is basically what inspires him to become a villain, and the first person he goes to see after his dramatic change. Fanboy much?
- The screenwriters and Jim Carrey describe Nygma's obsession with Bruce as "love" and "like a stalker". Jim basically calls him Tsundere.
Memetic Mutation:
- Riddle me this, riddle me that...
- #ReleaseTheSchumacherCut. After Zack Snyder's Justice League came out as well as Joel Schumacher's death, many fans wanted Schumacher's original darker version to be complete.
Narm Charm: This is a very silly film, but it's acted and directed well enough that you can't watch it without at least one cheesy grin.
Only the Creator Does It Right: The first non-Burton directed Batman movie, and also the one where the quality clearly started to decline.
The Problem with Licensed Games: The 16-bit games, published by Acclaim, is a platformer/fighter using Mortal Kombat-style controls. It was met with mediocre reviews. It also had huge loading times in the SNES/Super Famicom version. Easily one of the very worst of the games, The Angry Video Game Nerd gives this particular game a well-deserved ripping apart during his two-part Batman special.
Vindicated by History: A very mild example. People still don't care much for the film and cite it as the moment the series went downhill but are at least willing to admit that it was nowhere near the catastrophe that Batman and Robin was.
So Bad It's Good
What an Idiot!: Gotham Police Officer: (Pointing to a giant green question mark above the Bat Signal) "Who the hell's doin' that?!"
- Commissioner Gordon: (In reference to the green question mark, which is a laser beam quite obviously being projected from Nygma's island) "Where's that comin' from?"
- Batman has just survived a fiery death trap set by Two-Face and his mooks. He comes charging out of the flames in the most badass manner possible. The mooks are wetting their pants... and Batman just stops. He just stands there for no reason whatsoever, allowing Two-Face to shoot him.
  - Well, he is putting the fear of Batman into their souls given the psychotic look he was giving them.
    - Or he's taking a moment to recover. It doesn't matter HOW cool his armor is, all that heat had to have had SOME sort of detrimental effect on him. Said armor turned it from 'roasted alive' to 'still fully capable of fighting', but STILL.
