Eroge! H mo Game mo Kaihatsu Zanmai

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

That is their summer uniform. Yes, they're that poor.

Eroge! H mo Game mo Kaihatsu Zanmai, localized as EROGE! Sex and Games Make Sexy Games, is a H-game that was originally released in 2010, and localized in English in 2013. A Hentai OVA adaptation was made in 2011.

The game stars Mochizuki Tomoya, a young man who loves eroge and desires to create eroge, but basically lacks any talent for any area involved in the creation of an eroge. Still, he dreams.

One day, he finds an opportunity in a small company called Flower. As it turns out, the employees of Flower have no idea in how create erotic games adequately. With his vast knowledge of the genre, Tomoya tries to help them. A lot of (highly perverted) antics ensue.

Tropes used in Eroge! H mo Game mo Kaihatsu Zanmai include:
  • Analogy Backfire: Momoka makes an argument comparing she and Tomoya's sexual bets with sports, only to end up giving him a higher score when she was trying to say she is superior to her.
  • Accidental Pervert: Tomoya falls on the top of Nene while trying to protect her from a table Nene herself was carrying.
  • Aw, Look -- They Really Do Love Each Other: In probably one of the most bizarre examples of the trope, when she discovers Tomoya is the man raping her during her route, Momoka immediately gets sexually excited. We're informed of this by Tomoya feeling her lubrication.
  • Big Breasts, Big Deal: Momoka reveals during her route that her misandry was caused by men obsessing over her breasts or thinking she was a slut because of them.
  • Dissonant Serenity:
    • Iori barely reacts to having Tomoya's "male essence" blasted on her face during a party, while the other girls freak out.
    • Subverted during the cockroach incident. She seems to not be affected until Tomoya realizes she is utterly paralyzed.
  • Does Not Like Men: Momoka at first it seems annoyed with Tomoya because the way they first meet, but not too after it becomes clear her problem is with half of the human race.
  • Double Standard Rape: Tomoya is tied town and practically forced to have an orgasm in front of his fellow workers. He gets beaten up by Momoka for it.
  • Dumb Blonde: Momoka shows shades of this. Tomoya easily cons her into keeping have sex with him and she genuinely thinks she is getting the upper hand on their "rivalry" when the opposite is mostly true. Which leads to...
  • Dumb Muscle: Momoka is very strong but is easily tricked by Tomoya all along during her route to do what he wants.
  • Fundamentally Female Cast: All employees of Flower are female until Tomoya is hired.
  • Gainaxing: The protagonist describes Tomoyo's breasts as bouncing when she gets specially excited.
  • I Let You Win: During Momoka's route, Tomoya uses that as strategy as way of stringing Momoka along in keep doing sexual acts with him so she can learn better about men, saying she won so she can remain satisfied immediately, only to later say she did not, provoking her into "competing" again.
  • Hermaphrodite: The protagonist of the eroge Tomoya is playing at the beginning of the game.
  • Min-Maxing: In-universe, Reina suggests to Tomoya to focus on helping one girl in doing her job because it will eventually affect the others. Not only that advice is reliable, not following it results in a sudden bad ending, so it's the only way to go.
  • Most Writers Are Writers: Behold, an eroge about eroge written, programmed and drawn by eroge developers. To make it more self-referencial on the regard of this trope, it's a nukige, an eroge focused on sex scenes, about the development of a nukige.
  • Naughty Tentacles: The game begins with a scene like that, but it's just a scene of an eroge Tomoya is playing. The rest of the game is otherwise realistic.
  • Older Than They Look: Nene is 32. She looks at best 11.
  • Pervert Revenge Mode: Kisara sees Tomoya on the top of Nene and immediately assumes the worst, not accepting any explanation.
  • Punny Name: Tomoyo's planned pseudonym for herself as writer for the eroge magazine she works at is Margarita Rose Nanako. Nene and the protagonist react badly for her using a pseudonym which is a kind of drink.
  • Rapid-Fire Typing: Justified. Momoka is actually writing lines of text, though one may wonder how she can't commit any grammatical errors.
  • Reality Subtext: The developers of Flower are under pressure to develop a nukige or be disbanded, making the nukige possibly their last game. Team ANISE, the developers, were disbanded after this nukige game was released, though thankfully they were just relocated somewhere else at CLOCKUP.
  • Reluctant Fanservice Girl: During July, the staff of Flower can't afford to turn on the AC under the risk of the electrical network breaking, so they strip to stand the heat, and forcing Tomoya to do it so he isn't the only one embarrassed. Well, except Iori, which leads to...
  • Romantic Comedy: The game's different routes involve Tomoya romancing the staff of Flower, with comic antics happening along the way.
  • R-Rated Opening: The game opens with a scene of an eroge Tomoya is playing where a hermaphrodite warrior is raped by a tentacle monster.
  • Shameless Fanservice Girl: Iori has no problem of stripping in front of a man once the staff of Flower decides to. Her lack of embarrassmentt can be explained by her lack of emotion in general.
  • The Stoic: Iori seems to react to everything with a neutral tone. Even when she feels fear she manifests that by staying completely still.
  • Super Strength: Momoka have this to a comic level, being easily able to lift or crush anything she feels like it.
  • Token Loli: Nene does not act like a child, but looks and her voice actress giver her a childish tone, and so are her clothes aside of when she needs to be formal. That is deconstructed, since it's hard for her to find clothes for her size, which often happens to people with dwarfism(though they age like normal).
  • Tsundere: Momoka slowly warms to Tomoya during her route but keeps manifesting surface dislike towards him.
  • Why Did It Have To Be Snakes: Aside of Momoka, the staff of Flower is terrified of cockroaches.
  • Wrong Genre Savvy: Tomoya rapes Momoka in her route under the false belief this will make her sexually excited and make her better prepared to write rape scenes, like it happens in almost dark-hearted nukiges. However, as it is a light-hearted nukige, where rape is a fetish who is never featured, things turn dark and Momoka is genuinely distressed by the act.
  • Yaoi Fangirl: Momoka is technically one, even writing a story for a BL contest. However, Tomoya gives a read to her story and unsurprisingly discover her BL story is almost In Name Only: she writes male characters like they were girls.
