Template:Quote box Final Fantasy VII: The Sevening is an exaggerated, manga-styled Affectionate Parody of the landmark Play Station RPG, Final Fantasy VII. It is serialized on Smack Jeeves by Decalyn and ObstinateMelon. It pokes fun at everything from plot holes to the game's questionable translation.

• No Fourth Wall: At one point, the fourth wall even shows up as a character, only to leave the comic, meaning there literally is No Fourth Wall.
• Only Sane Man: Tifa, Barret and Cloud.
• Running Gag: Cait Sith keeps getting destroyed.
• Shout Out: There are tons of shout outs and references to other Final Fantasy games, other Square Enix games, Video Games in general, and even South Park.
• Spell My Name With an S: A constant source of jokes, and not just with Aeris/Aerith. Butz/Bartz also makes a cameo appearance.
• Straight Gay: Don Cornelo picks "Cloudia" out of the lineup, of course... Hilarity Ensues.
