Iron Man 3 is a 2013 superhero film, the third installment of the Iron Man film series and the seventh installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It is the second MCU film to get at a billion dollars at the box office. It takes place after The Avengers, where Tony Stark deals with his PTSD as a terrorist known as the Mandarin is on the rise. Reviews were mixed-to-positive with most reviews being divided on the Mandarin reveal. It had Robert Downey, Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Paul Bettany and Jon Favreau returning from their roles in the previous Iron Man films with Ben Kingsley as Trevor Slattery/The Mandarin, Guy Pearce as Aldrich Killian and Rebecca Hall as Maya Hansen.
