The Suite Life of Zack and Cody

  • Hey, It's That Guy!:
    • You might recognize Mr. Moseby as Hooch (he isn't crazy though)

    • Maddie is obviously Sharpay.
    • Aunt Hilda as Ilsa Shickelgrubermeiger.
    • Nicole Sullivan as Miss Klotz, Moseby's predecessor as Cruise Director of the S.S. Tipton. Also a case of Hey, It's That Voice!, as long-time Disney Channel viewers will recognize her as the voice of Shego.
    • Nathan Kress from rival show iCarly as an Inspirationally Disabled kid who rediscovers his love of basketball.
    • Doc from The Love Boat in the episode "Not So Suite 16".

    • Look closely at the credits; you'll notice veteran producer Kelly Sandefur, who also worked as one of the Voltron staffers.
    • Daniella Monet as mean head cheerleader Dana in "Benchwarmers".
    • Remember that one time Zac Efron played Maddie's political opposite and they ended up making out?
      • Well, I guess Sharpay finally got what she wanted...
    • Cole Sprouse played Ross Geller's son Ben on Friends.
  • Retroactive Recognition: Dr. Chip Walters was played by David Blue, who would go on to be better known as Eli Wallace of Stargate Universe.

The Suite Life on Deck

  • Directed by Cast Member: Several episodes are directed by Phill Lewis.
  • Fake Nationality: Foreigners are generally played by American actors. This was also once Double Subverted -- they visit England, and the guest star of the week is Charles Shaughnessy, who actually is British -- but by the end of the episode, the character has been revealed to be Belgian. Go figure.
    • In one episode, it's revealed that London is at least part Thai. Her actress, Brenda Song, is of Laos descent.

    • Charles Shaughnessy as the Scotland Yard detective charged with finding a stolen Sherlock Holmes manuscript who was, in fact, the thief, a Belgian collector posing as a detective.
    • Captain Steubing from The Love Boat in the episode "The Wrong Stuff" IMDb also claims that he appeared in "Mom and Dad on Deck", but that may be an error.
    • Charo as Esteban's mother in the episode "Mother of the Groom".

  • Fake Russian: The episode "Das Boots" had Sasha Matryoshka, a Russian junior chess champion played by Cody Kennedy, who's of Russian ancestry, but otherwise American as apple pie.
