His machine is the '''Dark Schneider''' (aka the "Wings of Darkness"), which has a A-B-D rating, has three DS021P engines, weighs 2080kgs, but has an unknown creator. The cockpit is specially rigged so that if any other pilot tried to use the machine, poisonous needles fire out of the dashboard to kill the intruder. Its main focus is offense and speed so he can kill anyone he pleases, although its tight grip makes it easier to use than most.

Characters debuting in F-Zero GX

#00 Deathborn

The cause of many a problem in the universe, Deathborn is the recent champion of the Underworld's own F-Zero GP. His evil knows no bounds, since the Space Police have connected him to every single missing persons case since the Great Accident; he banishes people into the voids of space where they are vagabonds for the rest of their life and even goes as far as removing his humanity just to become immortal. In GX, he's after the Championship Belt for reasons unspoiled.

His Machine is the Dark Schneider (a.k.a. the "Wings of Darkness"), which has a A-B-D rating, has three DS021P engines, weighs 2080kgs, but has an unknown creator. The cockpit is specially rigged so that if any other pilot tried to use the machine, poisonous needles fire out of the dashboard to kill the intruder. Its main focus is offense and speed so he can kill anyone he pleases, although its tight grip makes it easier to use than most.

Deathborn: "Falcon, shall I tell you something before you die? Dark and Light - the two great forces which make up our universe. These two forces are condensed in each of our belts. Didn't you know? At the moment when these forces become one - it is possible to seize that power. Then, I can turn this whole galaxy into a pile of ashes in an INSTANT! How I've waited for this moment! The world will fall into total darkness."

  • Villains Out Shopping: His GX master class video appears at first to be him simply crushing all resistance in an F-Zero race and causing terror, but is later shown just to be him watching a movie about himself doing these things, while still cackling evilly.
  • We Can Rebuild Him: According to his bio, he has died three times, coming back each time by being rebuilt more and more over time with cybernetic parts. With them, he's now effectively immortal.
  • Yin-Yang Bomb: Reveals that the combination of the regular and Underworld championship belts (light and darkness, respectively) is this. Deathborn plans to harness this power so he can determine the fate of all life in the galaxy as he sees fit.
  • You Have Failed Me...: Deathborn was very punctual about how Black Shadow couldn't afford to lose this time. Now, he's going to be very punctual about delivering an Agony Beam.

Deathborn: "Black Shadow! You failed AGAIN! You good-for-nothing..."

The Creators

  • Author Avatar: For the creators of the game. The final chapter of Story Mode even calls their car the "Staff Ghost"!
  • Bigger Bad
  • The Corrupter: Heavily implied to be this for Deathborn.
  • God of Evil: They go far beyond being Jerkass Gods. Even when they claim that "there are no universal forces," their actions and demeanor are a loud exclamation of For the Evulz. They seem to have enough dignity to honor Falcon's victory, but even that act is open to interpretation.
  • The Gods Behind The Man Behind The Man: No, really. They're behind everything, so it would seem.
  • Plot Induced Stupidity: They are the series' equivalent of God. They could easily erase Falcon from existence with a mere thought if they so willed. Yet, The Creators have an iron deathgrip on idiocy. They instead decide to put themselves on even ground with the greatest racer in the history of the sport.
  • Powers That Be
  • Racing Ghost: Both literally and figuratively.
  • Sealed Evil in a Can: Although it's never quite explained why they're residing in the Ultimate Champion's belt if they created the entire damn world.
  • Your Soul Is Mine: Seeing as Falcon defeated Deathborn, their "best creation," they decide to challenge Falcon. His soul at stake, they'll rip it out of his body and turn him into Deathborn's successor if they win.
