High Fantasy: The Grey Order is a Play By Post Game on Nintendo Nsider2 Forums created by the user Rhadamanthus. As the name implies, the story is a callback to classic High Fantasy stories. The roleplay is notable for the debut of Rhadamanthus's Player To Master Plot Interface System (PTMPIS), a system in which the players of the RP have some control of the plot by being able to create certain aspects of the setting and mythos of the world their characters inhabit, though the GM still outranks the players in terms of control over the story. And I Must Scream: The fate of anyone unlucky enough to cross paths with the Tarrasque: being thrown into The Abyss for all eternity.
An Ice Person / Making a Splash: Mark.
Altum Videtur: Invoked a lot with Dux, who seems to switch between English and Latin quite often.
The Atoner: Attona, after accidentally nearly killing Edgar pulls a complete Heel Face Turn and realizes what a psychopathic Jerkass she's been so far.
Ax Crazy: Pluto, and Attona, pre heel-face turn .
Black and Grey Morality
Blood Knight: Pluto
Cats Are Mean: Guess who.
Cunning Like a Fox: Nexia.
Dark Is Not Evil: Dux has been possessed by a demon since birth and is destined to anihilate the entire world...but that doesn't mean he's a bad guy.
De Power: Part of Attona's Backstory, seeing as she was previously the Goddess of Death.
Dramatic Ellipsis: Used a lot by Attona... after her heel-face turn...
Eldritch Abomination: The Tarrasque
- Also, Dux could be considered a Humanoid Abomination.
Emotion Eater: Pluto.
Eyepatch of Power: Pluto.
Fantasy Pantheon: The Four.
Five-Man Band:
- The Hero: Mark
- The Lancer: Attona

- And Cap'n is the Sixth Ranger.
Heroic Sociopath: Pluto just barely reaches the qualifications to be considered a hero, but...yeah, he can still be considered one. The same goes for Attona, pre-Heel Face Turn.
Knife Nut: Pluto.
Last of His Kind: Cap'n.
Magic Music: Used by Cap'n.
Mentor Occupational Hazard: Poor, poor Edgar...
My God, What Have I Done?: Attona, after nearly killing Edgar.
The Obi-Wan: Averted with Edgar. He fits the "wiser and more experienced" bit, but, ironically enough, he is, in a way, The Chosen One (being given the mission by the Grey Order).
Omnicidal Maniac: Pluto, and Attona, pre Heel-Face turn.
One-Letter Name: G.
Our Dwarves Are All the Same
Our Elves Are Better: Mark.
Our Werewolves Are Different: They are wolf/human hybrids with no transformation abilities and human-level intelligence who live in tribes.
Person of Mass Destruction: Dux.
Pirate: Cap'n.
Put On a Bus: Temporarily happened to Dux when the player controlling him was unavailable. As far as examples of this trope go, however, it was actually not that bad. In fact, the player did it in such a way that it seemed like it was just Character Development.
Ragtag Bunch of Misfits
Schrodinger's Gun: Inverted- using the PTMPIS, the players can actually use this trope against the Game Master!
Shout Out: Pluto is an anthropomorphic version of Edgar Allen Poe's short story, The Black Cat.
- The newest edition to the team, Demi, is a Chocobo.
Split Personality: Dux with G. Attona, to some extent, with her dark side that's trying to regain control.
Spock Speak: Partially; the werewolf chieftain, despite his remarkably good usage of English, never uses contractions.
Start of Darkness: Pluto wasn't always the Ax Crazy nihilist he is today. It wasn't until he was cursed by Cyrus that he snapped like a twig.
Super-Powered Evil Side: G, to Dux.
Token Human: Edgar.
True Neutral: The Grey Order are a textbook example of this trope: in order to maintain the balance between good and evil in their world, the Grey Order alternates between acts of villainy and heroism.
You All Meet in An Inn: To keep in tune with the story's classic "fantasy" vibe, this is how the characters first meet.
You Killed My Father: Pluto killed Nexia's father Cyrus years ago, but she doesn't know it yet.
