  • Fridge Brilliance: At the beginning, Cheerilee is talking to a classroom filled with fillies. It's clear from other episodes that there are some colts in her class as well. If we take getting a cutie mark to be a metaphor for puberty, then it WOULD make sense for the class to be filled only with girls. Cheerilee, as a female teacher, is talking to other girls about puberty!
  • Fridge Horror: Not a very bad thing, but consider this: Those cupcakes Apple Bloom made that looked like...something that rhymes with "spit"?...those were apparently the best batch made.
  • Harsher in Hindsight: At one point, Pinkie Pie has Applebloom help her make cupcakes. Pony-free, of course.
    • She also sings a song about it. There is now Cupcakes the musical.
