Rockman 6: Unique Harassment is a romhack of Mega Man 6 by Tatsu. It is the third detailed Rom Hack after Rockman 6: Spirits of Hackers and Rockman 6: Innocent. Instead of facing the 8 Robot Masters from the World Competition, Mega Man will square off against many Robot Masters from his long history. Will Mega Man be able to defeat them all again?

Tropes used in Rockman 6: Unique Harassment include:

  • Abandoned Mine: Jewel Man's level takes place in an abandoned mine since it uses a recolored version of Jewel Man's tileset in the first half.
  • Anti-Frustration Features: During the final battle against Dr. Wily, Mega Man receives a Yashichi to recover his weapon energy and health in between certain phases.
  • Assist Character:
    • Spark Man summons an evil doppleganger of Mega Man during his second phase.
    • Pharaoh Man summons Search Snakes in his first phase and Sunstar during his second phase.
    • Tomahawk Man and the Tomahawk Assist ability lets Mega Man and Tomahawk Man summon birds to assist them in combat.
    • Estark summons a pair of Healies in his second phase.
  • Barrier Warrior: Doc Robot uses Enker's Mirror Buster, which lets him absorb Megaman's projectiles and send it back at him, on Pharaoh Man's level.
  • Battleship Raid: Mr. X Stage 3 involves a raid on one of Mr. X's battleships. Doc Robot shows up to accost Mega Man using Mars's moveset. The boss of the airship is Estark from the Dragon Quest series.
  • Boss Rush: Wily Stage 3 uses a Mega Man X1-style boss rush format instead of the usual teleporter room format.
  • Boss Subtitles
  • Colony Drop: During his first phase, Galaxy Man summons a herd of meteors as a desperation attack.
  • Conveyor Belt O' Doom: One of the gimmicks in the second half is Jewel Man's stage are those annoying conveyor belts.
  • Creator Thumbprint: Tatsu loves referencing the Dragon Quest and Kunio-Kun series in his rom hacks.
    • The title screen uses a Dragon Quest-like font.
    • Napalm Man and Mr. X Stage 4 uses tiles that alter controls.
    • Napalm Man uses Fighting Spirit from Dragon Quest VII.
    • Mr. X Stage 1 uses the USSR theme and Mr. X Stage 4 uses Team Shadow's theme from Super Dodge Ball.
    • Estark is the boss of Mr. X Stage 3, complete with special commands and boss music.
  • Dishing Out Dirt: Jewel Man manipulates jewels and gems. In this game, his fighting style is reminiscent of Culex, even down to the elemental jewels in his first phase. Mega Man can obtain the Jewel Origin ability from Jewel Man and use it to rain jewels down on his enemies.
  • Doppleganger Attack: Galaxy Man can split himself into two during his second phase to confuse Mega Man. This ability can be obtained in the form of Galaxy Vision, which lets Mega Man create an energy hologram of himself to damage enemies.
  • Down the Drain: Mr. X Stage 2 is an homage to the Labyrinth Zone and Scrap Brain Zone Act 3 from Sonic the Hedgehog 1. The air-bubble is different, though. Every time Mega Man exerts himself in this section, he exhales an air bubble and takes 1 point of damage.
  • Genre Shift: The boss battle with Estark takes place in Dragon Quest's RPG screen. There's a text box announcing
  • An Ice Person: Chill Man deals with ice-based attacks. His Chill Slip lets Mega Man fire ice projectiles in a wave pattern and use a powerful slide kick as well.
  • The Lost Woods: Tomahawk Man's stage, Planting Domain, takes place in a lush forest. Mega Man starts off in the treetops before descending into the darkness.
  • Making a Splash: Jewel Man's water jewel specializes in ice and water abilities.
  • Marathon Boss:
    • The Jewel Man boss has four phases: Three phases dealing with his elemental jewels and a phase dedicated to the Jewel Man boss fight itself.
    • The Dr. Wily fight has a total of 6 phases in this game. Luckily, Mega Man gets a Yashichi after 2 phases.
  • Mythology Gag: Seeing as this romhack is based on fighting Robot Masters from Mega Man's history, it is chockful of references.
    • Tomahawk Man:
      • Tomahawk's stage OST is Axel the Red/Spike Rosered's theme.
      • The Doc Robot in Tomahawk Man's stage uses Magma Man's moveset.

      • The Doc Robot in Chill Man's stage uses Tundra Man's moveset.
    • The boss music for the eight Robot Masters comes from Street Fighter X Mega Man.
    • The bosses' second phases could be an homage to the bosses in Mega Man 11 activating their gears as their Turns Red powerups.
    • Mr. X
      • Stage 1: Uses Strike Man's tileset and the boss is The Keeper.
      • Stage 2: A clone of Dr. Cossack in the Cossack Catcher is the boss battle.
      • Stage 3: Uses Charge Man and Napalm Man's tilesets from Rockman World IV. The Doc Robot in this stage uses Mars's moveset.
      • Stage 4: Mr. X uses Dr. Wily's saucer from Mega Man 10 and he summons clones of Mega Man X as one of his attacks.
    • Dr. Wily
      • Dr. Wily's castlemap is based on the Mega Man 3 castle
      • Wily Stage 1: Uses Wily Stage 2 from the Mega Man 8 OST. The Wily Stage 1 boss is a combination between the Block Devil from Mega Man 10 and the King Jet boss battle from Mega Man & Bass.
      • Wily Stage 2: Stage 2 uses Skull Man and Dust Man's tilesets from Rockman World III in the first half. The OST from Wily Star from Rockman World V is used in this stage. Doc Robot uses Proto Man's moveset from Mega Man 7. Uses the tileset of Wily Star in the second half.
      • Wily Stage 3: The boss rush uses Mega Man X1-style boss rush format. And the boss from Wily Battleship I in Rockman World IV is the end boss. It even uses copies of Robot Master weapons.
      • Wily Stage 4: Dr. Wily uses his battleships from Mega Man 1, Mega Man 5 and Mega Man 2 in that order. Mega Man receives a Yashichi in between certain phases.
  • Platform Battle: The Wily Stage 1 boss takes place over a bottomless pit while the Block Devil mercilessly chases after Mega Man.
  • Playing with Fire:
    • Pharaoh Man uses the power of the sun to set Mega Man ablaze. He even summons his sun god Aten in the form of the Stardroid Sunstar.
    • Jewel Man's fire jewel uses Fire Man and Heat Man's abilities.
    • Doc Robot in Tomahawk Man's stage uses Magma Man's powers.
  • Power Copying:
    • Doc Robot uses the powers of various Robot Masters in his Mini Boss fights.
    • The Wily Castle Defense System in Wily Stage 3 uses many of the Robot Master weapons that Mega Man used throughout the series. It's confusing as it has a very wide arsenal.
  • Power of the Void: Galaxy Man uses his Black Hole Bomb ability to suck Mega Man into a vulnerable position.
  • Recurring Boss: Doc Robot shows up as the mini-bosses in the Eight Robot Master stages and two of the fortress. He channels the power of various Mega Man bosses
  • Shock and Awe: Spark Man specializes in this. His Spark Bullet ability acts like a weaker version of Gyro Man's Gyro Blade. If charged up, it gives Mega Man a Sprint Shoes ability while giving him strong thunder bolts.
  • Shout Out:
    • Tomahawk Man's level uses the forest and underground tilesets from Super Mario World 2 Yoshis Island.
    • Jewel Man's boss fight pays homage to Culex's fight from Super Mario RPG.
    • Stage 2 of Mr. X's castle is based on the Labyrinth Zone and Scrap Brain Zone Act 3.
    • Stage 3 of Mr. X's castle is based on the raid on the Halberd from Kirby Super Star.
  • Slippy-Slidey Ice World: Chill Man's level takes place in an icy cavern.
  • Storming the Castle: The first half of Spark Man's level takes place in a dilapidated castle.
  • Turns Red: Every boss in this game has a second phase where they change up their patterns and palettes to trip up Mega Man.
  • Teleport Spam: Mr. X's saucer teleports around to avoid Mega Man's attack. Given that he's Dr. Wily in disguise, it's fitting that he'd resort to one of his old tactics.
  • Underground Level: A huge portion of Tomahawk Man's level is underground, given the stone tiling and dark background in that portion of the level.
  • Voluntary Shapeshifter: Dust Man can change into Metal Man and Strike Man during his boss fight. For some reason, he's invulnerable in those forms.
