Masao Den / Battle Japan

• Big Brother Instinct: Towards Keiko.
• Blade on a Stick: What his Command Bat transforms into.

• Instant Awesome, Just Add Ninja: #44 reveals ninja once took care of him.
• Standardized Leader: To the point where even the writers didn't seem to know what to do with him.

Kensaku Shiraishi / Battle Cossack I

• The Big Guy: Up until #33.
• But Not Too Foreign
• Forgotten Fallen Friend: No mention is ever made of him again after Makoto takes over his job.
• Hey, It's That Guy!: Played by Yukio Ito, who also played Kenji Asuka/Mido Ranger in Himitsu Sentai Goranger.
• Killed Off for Real
• The Lancer: For the first few episodes. The writers quickly change their mind, however, and he loses this position to Battle France (the fact that Yukio Ito was planning to leave the show also contributed to his demotion as sub-leader) .
• Sai Guy: What his Command Bat transforms into.
• The Smart Guy: See The Big Guy.

Makoto Jin / Battle Cossack II

• Anti-Hero Substitute: In his first episode as a regular, he attempt to kill the "Dark Shogun", who is responsible for his brother's death, in cold blood. It turns out the Dark Shogun is an Egos Monster, but he didn't know that.
• The Big Guy: Starting with #33.
• But Not Too Foreign
• Cold Sniper
• Hey, It's That Guy!: Played by Daisuke Ban, better known for playing the live-action Kikaider.
• The Quiet One
• Sai Guy: Just like his predecessor.
• The Smart Guy: See The Big Guy.
• What the Hell, Hero?: See Anti-Hero Substitute above.

Kyōsuke Shida / Battle France

• But Not Too Foreign
• Casanova Wannabe
• Cool Sword: What his Command Bat transforms into.
• The Dandy
• Gratuitous French: Well, what did you expect?
• Katanas Are Just Better: Averted.
• The Lancer: Inherits this position after the first few episodes (the roll call order is even changed to reflect this). Indeed, his easygoing personality is a good foil to Japan's Straight Man tendencies.

Shirō Akebono / Battle Kenya

• Hey, It's That Guy!: Kenji Ohba in his first major role.
• Kid Appeal Character
• Spotlight-Stealing Squad: He gets a lot of focus in the second half of the show.
• Whip It Good: What his Command Bat transforms into.

Diane Martin / Miss America I

• The Chick / The Smurfette Principle: The original one.
• Commuting on a Bus: Her role was greatly reduced after the first few episodes, until she was finally replaced.
• Dying Moment of Awesome: She didn't die, but in her final episode, she manages to escape Salome and Dracula Monster with her sister after having been depleted of a good chunk of her blood; it was pretty awesome.
• Faux Action Girl: Related to her Commuting on a Bus above: she is supposed to be a secret agent, and yet she spends most of her time in the base doing nothing while the guys are out there investigating.
• Hey, It's That Voice!: She is voiced by Risa Komaki, aka Momoranger.
• Knife Nut: What her Command Bat transforms into.
• Put on a Bus
• You Killed My Father: Her motive for joining Battle Fever was to avenge her father Bossner, who is killed by Egos in the first episode. It never went anywhere.

Maria Nagisa / Miss America II

• Action Girl: Especially when compared to Diane.
• But Not Too Foreign
• The Chick / The Smurfette Principle: The new one.
• Clear My Name: In one episode.
• Hot Teacher: In one episode.
• I Let Gwen Stacy Die: She let a boy drown before her eyes when she was a child.
• Knife Nut: Just like her predecessor.
• Master of Disguise: Twice. The first time, however, Salome recognizes her.
