Revision as of 10:44, 25 January 2014
See also the BBC's episode guide.
Many of the 1st and 2nd Doctor episodes no longer exist in video format, although all are available in audio format.
First Doctor
There is some dispute as to what a number of the serials up to "The Gunfighters" should be called, as these stories had individual episode titles rather than an on-screen full title. Many of the titles have been gleaned from surviving BBC paperwork, but for the very early stories, you may see alternative names being used.
Season 1 (42 episodes of which 33 survive, 23 November 1963 to 12 September 1964)
- An Unearthly Child (4 episodes)
- The Daleks (7 episodes)
- The Edge of Destruction (2 episodes)
- Marco Polo (7 episodes, all missing)
- The Keys of Marinus (6 episodes)
- The Aztecs (4 episodes)
- The Sensorites (6 episodes)
- The Reign of Terror (6 episodes, 4-5 missing)
Season 2 (39 episodes of which 37 survive, 31 October 1964 to 24 July 1965)
- Planet of Giants (3 episodes)
- The Dalek Invasion of Earth (6 episodes)
- The Rescue (2 episodes)
- The Romans (4 episodes)
- The Web Planet (6 episodes)
- The Crusade (4 episodes, 2 & 4 missing)
- The Space Museum (4 episodes)
- The Chase (6 episodes)
- The Time Meddler (4 episodes)
Season 3 (45 episodes of which 17 survive, 11 September 1965 to 16 July 1966)
- Galaxy 4 (4 episodes, only episode 3 known to survive)
- Mission to the Unknown (1 episode, missing)
- The Myth Makers (4 episodes, all missing)
- The Daleks' Master Plan (12 episodes, only episodes 2, 5 and 10 known to survive)
- The Massacre (4 episodes, all missing)
- The Ark (4 episodes)

Season 4 (43 episodes of which 10 survive, 10 September 1966 to 1 July 1967. No story from this season exists in a complete form)
- The Smugglers (4 episodes, all missing)
- The Tenth Planet (The only story in the season to have more than half of its episodes accounted-for -- of its four episodes, only the fourth is missing. Especially unfortunate as it was one of the biggest Wham Episodes of the entire show. The footage of the regeneration itself survives however)
Second Doctor
Season 4 (continued)
- The Power of the Daleks (6 episodes, all missing)
- The Highlanders (4 episodes, all missing)
- The Underwater Menace (4 episodes, 1 & 4 missing)
