Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 was a 2017 film and a sequel to 2014's Guardians of the Galaxy, directed by James Gunn and featuring an ensemble cast of Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Sylvester Stallone and Kurt Russell. It is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

After Ronan was destroyed, Peter Quill learns the true identity of his father.

Like the first film, it was a hit at the box office and is set to have a sequel entitled Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 on 2023.
