Oku-sama wa Mahō Shōjo: Bewitched Agnes

Oku-sama wa Mahou Shoujo: Bewitched Agnes (Or My Wife is a Magical Girl: Bewitched Agnes) is a magical girl comedy. It focuses on the married woman Ureshiko Asaba, who's actually a Magical Girl called Agnes Bell. Two individuals enter her life: The Magical Girl Cruje Gapp, who's supposed to be Ureshiko's successor, and Kagura Tatsumi, who recently moved away from his college and into the boarding house Ureshiko lives at.

All is not well, as Ureshiko is the current guardian of Wonderland, which her mother created, but Cruje may erase Wonderland and recreate it after her own will, once she succeeds Ureshiko. At the same time, Ureshiko grows farther away from her husband, and closer to Kagura.

Almost Kiss: Considering what will happen if a Magical Girl ever kisses someone, you can expect this once or twice.
Amicably Divorced: Ureshiko and Tamotsu aren't officially divorced, but they don't live together anymore. Ureshiko comes over to help him clean once in a while. In the end, they presumably do get divorced amicably, since Tamotsu told Kagura to treat her well.
Animate Inanimate Object: Several of the household items in Ureshiko's home are alive, thanks to her magic.
Attack of the 50-Foot Whatever: Episode 4 features a giant teddy bear walking through the town. It's soon revealed that it was only a model of the town in Cruje's room.
Beach Episode: Episode 7 shows Kagura going on a date to the beach with Sayaka, transformed into an adult.
Bokukko: Chane who, like her twin sister, also dresses in a Victorian boy's style.
Brain Freeze: Ururu gets one from sweeping an iced drink. She does it again once she gets a refill.
Brought Down to Normal: Cruje deliberately casts a spell on herself to lock away her magical powers. Naturally, she ends up in situations where those powers would be very useful.
Can't Have Sex Ever: If a Magical Girl kisses someone, she will lose all her powers. Whether actual sex has the same effect or not isn't explored. However, Ureshiko is once shown to be naked with her husband, so it's not unreasonable to assume they have had sex.
Captain Obvious: Late in the series, Ureshiko Asaba is judged to be erased, whereupon Kagura Tatsumi immediately clarifies, "That means you'll die!"
Catch Phrase: Kikuko Inoue's common "Ara, ara," shows up here.
Cute Clumsy Girl: As a classical Magical Girl, Ureshiko's not very coordinated at times. It's mentioned she never grew out of it.
Cute Witch: The Magical Girls lean heavily towards this style.
Date Peepers: Ureshiko Asaba isn't quite satisfied with letting Kagura go on a date to the beach with Sayaka, transformed into an adult.
Do-It-Yourself Theme Tune: The ending theme song "Jewelry" is sung by Kikuko Inoue, the voice of Ureshiko.
Doting Parent: If Shioya talks about something that isn't work, it's about his daughter. And often instead of work.
Flying Broomstick: The main means of transportation for Magical Girls. They use classical and modern brooms, vacuum cleaners, and even giant eating utensils.
Gang of Bullies: While only two, they still gang up on Sayaka. One of them just seems to follow the other, who has other motivations.
Groin Attack: This is how the alarm clock wakes Kagura early in the series.
Hadaka Apron: For some reason, Ureshiko's apron is the only piece clothing left while using her powers to start the vacuum cleaner in the first episode.
Hand Puppet: The female employee at Kashiwa Publishing uses one to speak with occasionally.
Landlady: Maiko Motohiro is the owner of the house where Ureshiko and Kagara lives, those it's Ureshiko who takes care of pretty much the entire household, since Maiko herself is quite old.
Loving Bully: Yuki Katsura, the leader of the two bullies at school, is really just acting on an immature crush, but he learns to show it a little better later on. Ultimately, he pretty much saves Wonderland by confessing to Cruje.
Leotard of Power: The standard Magical Girl outfit is one, plus frills and other accessories.
Magical Woman: Ureshiko, at 26, is not exactly a girl anymore. There are also many more Magical Girls, of various ages.
Magical Incantation: "Magity" is enough for simpler spells. For transformation and larger spells, something longer is required:

"Realm, Realm, the light that fills the Magical World, as a sign of protecting the foreign world, grant me power!"

Magical Land: Realm, the world the Magical Girls come from. Wonderland, while not magic in itself, was created with magic.
Magic Wand: Every Magical Girl has one they can materialise at will.
Manipulative Bitch: Asaba's girlfriend and editor of a larger company.
Megane: Kagura usually wears glasses.
Mind Control Eyes: Cruje Gapp gets these while mindcontrolled.
Mundane Utility: In the very first scene, Ureshiko uses her Magical Girl powers to start a troublesome vacuum cleaner. It doesn't go quite so well. Later she stops an ice cream from falling to the ground.
New Transfer Student: Sayaka enters her class where she's both bullied and swarmed by inquisitive students.
Not the Fall That Kills You: Kagura manages to catch Ureshiko when she falls from the sky. He hurts his leg a little when he lands, but that's taken care of by Ureshiko's magic.
Oba-sama: "Old Miss" is used by Cruje to Ureshiko, as an insult.
Pettanko: While expected for her age, Sayaka is still teased about this by the school bullies. However, even if she can transform into an adult form, her chest doesn't grow a lot.
Puppy Dog Eyes: While Ureshiko's eyes display the normal teary look, they actually get smaller than usual.
Reasonable Authority Figure: One of Realm's chief elders turns out to be far more reasonable than he appears at first. He's also Maiko Motohiro's husband.
Recurring Extra: There's a group of monks passing by the house all the time, for some reason or another.
Reluctant Fanservice Girl: Ureshiko isn't quite comfortable with how her adult body is shown off her Magical Girl outfit designed for someone younger.
Ring of Power: Ureshiko's Magical Girl ring, which much of the plot revolves around.
Roof Hopping: Bulga once hops between telephone poles. Otherwise, the girls usually to fly.
Rose-Haired Girl: Ureshiko has pink hair.
Sempai-Kohai: Kagura and Ayase use these terms, even after Kagura has left the school.
Something Else Also Rises: The alarm clock flips its arms straight up when pressed between Ureshiko's thighs.
Stripperiffic: While the Magical Girl outfit isn't exactly modest by any standards, Ureshiko's adult figure makes it even less so, and she's quite embarrassed when it's pointed out.
The End of the World as We Know It: And the beginning of the world as we know it. Except that the school didn't burn down. But the victory flag still has a burn mark in the corner.
Transformation Sequence: They have relatively long sequences, but they're not shown often. In real time, it's more or less instant.
Together Umbrella: Almost but not quite shown in the end of the intro.
Voluntary Shapeshifting: Bulga transforms into a dog, the twin sisters into ravens, and Cruje ever so often into an adult.
Weddings in Japan: Ureshiko chose a Japanese-style wedding instead of the western-style she really wanted, because the western ceremony requires a kiss.
Western Zodiac: During the Transformation Sequence, all signs are shown in the background. More generally, the people from Realm really likes astrological motifs, as stars, moons, and other objects are all over the design of wands, clothes, and buildings.
Who Wears Short Shorts?: Ururu tends to wear short shorts, as opposed to dresses like her friends.
Yamato Nadeshiko: Ureshiko, predictably.
