Lee Everett

Voiced by: Dave Fennoy

The player-controlled character of the story. Lee is a prisoner in transport when he comes upon the outbreak and makes his escape.

Action Survivor
An Axe to Grind: After he gets the fire axe from the motel, he proves to be quite good with it.
Badass
- Badass and Child Duo: With Clementine.
- Badass Baritone
- Genius Bruiser: He is a former college professor of history.
- Handicapped Badass: His right knee gets injured in the car crash, giving him a noticable limp in the first episode that causes him trouble by stumbling. A lot.
Beware the Nice Ones
Blood Is the New Black: From either accidentally slipping on a pool of blood or after brutally bludgeoning Clementine's undead babysitter.
Dark and Troubled Past: He killed a state senator after catching him sleeping with his wife.
Deadpan Snarker
The Lancer: Despite being the Player Character, Lee seems to serve this role to Kenny, who comes up with the plans and the orders, which Lee then carries out.
Mercy Kill: To his zombified brother, and possibly to Irene, as well.
Promotion to Parent: For Clementine.

Clementine

Voiced by: Melissa Hutchison

An eight-year-old girl, and the first survivor that Lee comes upon. The two of them tag along throughout the game.

Action Survivor: Manages to escape her infected babysitter and survive for at least a couple days by herself, and she is only eight-years-old.
Ambiguously Brown
Badass and Child Duo: With Lee.
Morality Pet: Seems to be this for Lee.
Nice Hat: Her baseball cap, a gift from her dad.

Kenny

Voiced by: Gavin Hammon

A fisherman who is met on Hershel's farm with his family when Lee arrives.

Action Survivor
An Axe to Grind: He borrows Lee's axe near the end of episode one when he heads to get the pickup truck prepared. He saves Lee with it at the end of the episode.
Badass Mustache
The Leader: While Lilly ostensibly is this, Kenny immediately takes charge when the walkers get into the drug store.

Katjaa

Voiced by: Cissy Jones

Katjaa is the wife of Kenny and mother of Duck. She meets Lee and Clementine on Hershel's farm, and looks after Clementine when Lee is not around.

Kenny Jr. aka "Duck"

Voiced by: Max Kaufman

Duck is the hyperactive son of Kenny and Katjaa.

Lilly

Voiced by: Nikki Rapp

Lilly is a member of the Air Force who was stationed at Robins Air Force Base near Macon, Georgia. She took charge of the survivors in the drug store until Kenny arrived.

Ascended Extra: Word of God, and the offical Walking Dead game website, states this is the same Lilly from the comics.
Desk Jockey: In the Air Force, but she didn't enjoy it.
Jerkass: Not as much as her father, but still pretty bad.
The Leader: Type III, and not a very good one. When Kenny showed up, he took over the group almost immediately, with no one but Lilly and her father protesting.
Sugar and Ice Personality

Larry

Voiced by: Terry McGovern

Larry is a former army commander and the father of Lilly. He has a history of heart problems, but has a bad temper as well. He knows about Lee's past, and threatens to reveal it if he thinks he is dangerous.

Dad the Veteran
Jerkass: Even to his daughter, telling her to shut up several times when she tries to get him to calm down. And then he tries to kill Lee at the end of the first episode.
Non-Standard Character Design: Has a rather cartoony design compared to everyone else.
Retired Badass
Sir Swearsalot
Ungrateful Bastard: Lee finds him medicine for his heart at great risk to himself. He then proceeds to punch Lee in the face and try to leave him for dead in the drug store as walkers enter it.
Would Hurt a Child: He wants to throw Duck to the walkers on the merest suspicion he has been bitten, without even doing a search for the bite.
Unfortunate Implications: If you follow the right sequence in fighting him on throwing Duck out of the drug store because he looks like he might have been bitten, Lee eventually tells him to stop trying, or else. Then we're treated to this little gem from Larry:

Larry: You gonna whoop me? You and what homo parade?

Carley

Voiced by: Nicole Vigil

A reporter from Atlanta who was in Macon to cover the local Cherry Blossom Festival. She is one of the few survivors who knows about Lee's past.

Action Girl
Eaten Alive: If Doug is chosen to be saved.
Hot Scoop
Improbable Aiming Skills: She has pretty good aim for a reporter. Possibly justified since she has served as a war correspondent.

Doug

Voiced by: Sam Joan

An IT guy who is first met in the drug store.

Deadpan Snarker
Eaten Alive: If Carley is chosen to be saved.
Heroic Bystander: He saved Carley when he saw she was about to get attacked and helped her escape.
Nerd
Nice Guy
The Smart Guy: Worked as an IT technician before the outbreak, and knows his way around technology.
Survivors Guilt: If he is saved instead of Carley.

Glenn

Voiced by: Nick Herman

Everyone's favorite pizza boy turned expert scavenger from the main series, first met in the drug store. See the main series characters page for more info on him.

The Cameo: Appears only in the first episode before leaving for Atlanta.

Hershel Greene

Voiced by: Chuck Kourouklis

The traditional farmer from the main series, met on his farm. See the main series characters page for more info.

Shawn Greene

Voiced by: Peter Mussad

Hershel's first son.

Doomed by Canon: In the comics, he's already dead by the time Rick shows up at the farm. Here, you get to see why.
Too Dumb to Live: Having grown up on a farm, Shawn should really know better than to stand in front of a tractor while someone's sitting in it...especially if it's a hyperactive child who you can see is playing with the gearshift.

Irene

Voiced by: Brett Pels

Irene is a survivor trapped in a motel room that Glenn finds. Commits suicide after getting bitten.

Damsel in Distress
Driven to Suicide: She asks for Carley's gun to kill herself before she dies and comes back. If Lee doesn't let her have it, she will take it by force and kill herself anyway.
