The bastard lovechild of Tony Stark and Rufus ShinRa, Liang Helian is the CEO of an arms company, which both develops and sells state-of-the-art weapons. He's a free-wheeling philanthropist playboy to the public, but that's only to keep anyone from finding out that he's a Villain Protagonist that murdered his father for his position and countless others to secure the company's profits.

He's a Manipulative Bastard himself, and he's generally not bothered by either morality or law. Liang's been involved with Lux since the start, doing his part as a warhawk just waiting to profit off the fighting. Unsurprisingly, he's dealing to both sides as it pleases him. Despite that, he's actually dedicated to Lux's ideals, and he pours his billions into funding Lux's welfare and education systems.

Tropes:

• Anti-Hero - Type V, because he's pretty much a villain but occasionally played as a good guy.
• Bishonen - Probably the best example of it on the site.
• Chessmaster - Too early to see if he's really a Magnificent Bastard, but he's certainly playing the great game.
• Corrupt Corporate Executive - His existence.
• Even Bad Men Love Their Mamas - Will defer to his NPC mom's opinion on, apparently, pretty much anything.
• Hot Scientist - Arms developer, really. He's a smart man, educated in engineering and chemistry and what-have-you, currently the guy at Lux working on their efforts at an a-bomb.
• Fiction 500 - He's rich, haven't you heard?
• Man of Wealth and Taste - Because Evil Is Cool.
  • Wine Is Classy - Subverted. Liang prefers scotch.
• Millionaire Playboy - As witnessed and reported many, many times by the media.
• Really Gets Around -
• Screw The Rules I Have Money - Lux literally allows him to get away with murder. That being said, he's still taken a million and one precautions in the event that Lux cracks down on him.
• Sharp-Dressed Man - Always and forever. Except when undressed, of course.
• The Trickster - Usually, he's a Manipulative Bastard, but sometimes he's just a dick.
• Urban Legend Love Life - Subverted. Read any tabloid to find out who he last banged.
• Villain with Good Publicity - So far, no one that [i]knows[/i] he's a right bastard has lived to tell about it. As far as anyone knows, arms company aside, he's a good man that parties hard.
• Visionary Villain - Genuinely believes in Lux's cause, ie welfare. He just doesn't believe in peace.
• Wicked Cultured - Buys paintings, has a personal gallery and a curator on his staff. A repeat customer of Dez's work.

An elegant and refined officer, Merope keeps herself busy by running trade routes between Orre and Kanto, as well as training new Lux soldiers and fighting in the field herself. She has a certain regal bearing that masks several dozen secrets that she keeps oh-so-well.

Tropes:

• All a Part of the Job: Her work in the war is dangerous, sometimes tedious, and likely a pain. However, Merope enjoys it. It adds a thrill and a rush to her life that she hasn't felt in a while.
• The Bitch In Sheep's Clothing: She may look elegant and beautiful, but on the inside she borders on Complete Monster territory.
• Bi the Way
• Blood Knight
• Faux Affably Evil: She's incredibly polite, even when killing another person on the battlefield or making arrests.
• Goth: Considering that her playby is Margaret Moonlight, Merope is often seen in gothic lolita attire.
• Ice Queen: Though polite, she's also very cold and unfeeling.

• Knight Templar: Most of Lux can be argued as such. Wanting to control crime and regulate people is a lofty goal. Merope follows Lux without a single question, and she's quite devoted to the cause.
