Sex Is Violence/Video Games

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

Examples of Sex Is Violence in Video Games include:

  • Bayonetta, all the way.[context?]
  • BlazBlue: Litchi Faye Ling does this when she gets hit. It's just another part of her appeal to male gamers.
  • In Blaze Union, it's revealed that due to their demonic heritage, fighting is extremely physically pleasurable for both Gulcasa and Emilia. Gulcasa is usually not outwardly enthusiastic about it, but Emilia is a different story entirely. This is something of a plot-relevant metaphor in one route: when Emilia goes insane in the B route, quite a bit of Accidental Innuendo and Orgasmic Combat ensues; after having to kill a soldier with Genocide or die himself, Gulcasa's state has been compared both to a drug high and immediately post-orgasmic afterglow, and he is shown as unable to think straight and describes the sensation as feverish and pleasurable. This is played as rather disturbing with Emilia in particular, as she's eleven years old.
  • The Tainted Coil faction in Brutal Legend fits. They often express joy while being harmed or killed, and their attacks tend to self-mutilate and/or involve Gorn. Not to mention the bondage gear and spraying of blood and organs as a weapon.
  • Silver Mantis from City of Heroes is a metal fetishist and sidekick to Black Scorpion. She gets quite excited during your fights with her.
    • Her dialogue during the battle with her in the Statesman Task Force is quite blatant about this for a teen-rated game.

Start of combat: "C'mon, Heroes. I'll take you all at once!"
75% HP: "Mmmmm! You hurt me so good!"
50% HP: "The pain! The anger! Yes! You really know how to treat a girl!"
25% HP: "Oh yes! OH YES! This is a battle!"
When defeated: "That's it... I'm spent. Take the code, you earned it."
Defeating a player character: "Done already? I hoped you'd last...longer."

  • Morrigan in Darkstalkers. Justified as she shares the name with the mythologic Morrigan.
  • Gloria's first appearance in Devil May Cry 4. Someone who posted the scene on YouTube actually said "I hope I don't get in trouble for posting porn."
    • To say nothing, of course, of the Lucifer acquisition scene. "First, I whip it out! Then I thrust it!"...
  • The Dark Mistresses in Dungeon Keeper. They happily jump headlong into a fight, even against completely overwhelming odds.
  • Fate/stay night. Gilgamesh and Saber. Well, from Gilgamesh's POV. Saber just wants to kill the bastard.
  • Alma's relationship with Becket shows definite signs of this in Project Origin, as all of their encounters involve at least one trying to kill the other at the same time.
  • I-No in Guilty Gear. "What the hell is wrong with I-No?" is a common question when the players see some of her victory quotes.
  • Haunting Ground: If Fiona is killed by Daniella's impalement attack, the player is treated to a game over screen filled with the sounds of Laughing Mad, Immodest Orgasm, and the cutting of flesh, because this is just that type of game.
  • The King of Fighters':
  • In Knights of the Old Republic 2, the Echani hold that only though combat can one truly communicate. A male player character can seduce the Echani party member by defeating her repeatedly in training (among other things).
    • And the Echani fights in her lingerie (and asks you to do the same), to boot. Oy!
  • Manhunt. In a game about snuff porn, it's kind of to be expected.
  • The Four Guardians in Mega Man Zero seem to really enjoy fighting Zero... to quote Harpuia (who's practically tame compared to Leviathan):

"I enjoy the sensation. I love the pain. You are worthy."

  • Metal Gear Solid:
    • Basically the point of the first Metal Gear Solid which mixes violence with sexual imagery about as much as it can while remaining relatively subtle, although it mostly eases off after that, when Snake gains control of his squicky fetishes. Comes back in full force in Metal Gear Solid 4, though, perhaps to underline his sexual frustration.
    • Then there's the fight between Vamp and Raiden in the fourth game which has some extremely, though somewhat disturbing homoerotic imagery: the grappling, the almost rutting-like motion when Raiden stabs himself to nail Vamp — and don't forget the white blood and the crotch-knife licking.
    • Grey Fox , particularly when he begs you to "Hurt me more!". Uhh...
    • "There's nothing like the feeling of slamming a long silver bullet into a well greased chamber..."
      • Let's just say that Metal Gear does this a lot and sometimes it's a metaphor point, and just stop before this page gets too long.
  • Mileena in Mortal Kombat. Specially in her "kiss" fatality in MK 9.
  • This trope is one of the major themes of No More Heroes and is embodied by the majority of its characters. In both games.
  • One of Noh's endings in the first Samurai Warriors games begins with her apparently trying to murder Oda Nobunaga... then, while still straddling him, she throws the knife away and gives him a passionate kiss instead. *fans self*
    • Her storyline in the third Xtreme Legends version takes this to another level. She seems to be split between a twin desire to either kill or schtupp him.
  • Ivy Valentine of Soul Calibur.
  • Juri in Super Street Fighter IV only seems to find enjoyment in fighting, complete with licking her lips when she's about to do something particularly nasty to the other character.

"Give it all you've got. Try and break me."

  • Togainu no Chi:
    • One of the endings has Keisuke ripping out Akira's guts while proclaiming that he loves Akira. He's also sporting a look that seems similar to an orgasm.
    • Not to mention Takeru kissing Akira during their fight and the two Punishers' Bad End, especially the one involving Gunji, where he slashes and rapes Akira as he bleed to death.
    • Shiki's preferred method of pummelling Akira into submission.
  • Tsukihime. The scene where Shiki first sees Arcueid in the street and stalks her home. The ambiguity of what he's stalking her home to do is stretched as far as possible before he finally kills her. There's also a few scenes that follow a serial killer and note he apparently gets off sexually whenever he claims a new victim.
  • Unreal Tournament 2004 has three announcers- "Male", "Female", and "Sexy". The latter seems to enjoy combat a bit too much.
  • Jane, one of the soldiers in the RPG Valkyria Chronicles, clearly enjoys killing Imperial units a bit too much.

Jane: "Mmmm...scream for me."
