Tony Montana (Al Pacino)

• Ax Crazy: More and more so after he's addicted to his own supply.

• Despair Event Horizon - When Tony sees Manny and Gina together, Tony kills Manny in a fit of anger. The reason why it technically fits here instead of Moral Event Horizon is because during his Villainous Breakdown, he subliminally regrets acting on impulse like that. He truly cements it when one of Sosa's men kills Gina, culminating in an Anti-Heroic RROD.
• Even Evil Has Loved Ones: While he doesn't show it often he cares about his mother, his sister Gina and Elvira even after she fell out of love with him. But the most prominent is that in his rise to the top, he never forgets what had happened on his first job in Miami regarding his friend Angel Fernandez. Which he cites to Sosa after Sosa kills Omar and accuses Tony of being an informant.

Tony: Let's get something straight Sosa. I never fucked anyone in my life that didn't have it coming to them. All I have in this world is my balls and my word. And I don't break 'em for nobody. That piece of shit I never liked him. For all I know he had me set up and had my friend Angel Fernandez killed.

• Screw This, I'm Outta Here At a restaurant, just after Tony accepts the job Sosa assigned him to assassinate a reporter; Tony drunkenly takes it out on Elvira and Manny. The former of which he insults for being unable to bear his kids. Elvira tells Tony off once and for all prompting a near violent altercation between him and her. This ends up being the last straw for her and she announces her leaving.

Elvira: I'm leaving you. I don't need this shit anymore.

Gina Montana (Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio)

"I know you did some bad things back then. In the Army, I know you got into some trouble."

• A Father to His Men: Tries to act like this. It's just an act.

• Crazy Jealous Guy: He used Mel to shake down Tony and then threatened Tony in person, simply because he showed interest in Elvira. When that didn't take, he had hitmen try to kill Tony at the Babylon Club.

"Alright! Alright, big man? You wanna make some big bucks? Lets see how tough you are. Do you know something 'bout cocaine?"

• Enemy Mine Tony and Omar don't like each other, but under Frank they do their best to work together. However this trope gets disposed once Sosa kills Omar.

• The Stool Pigeon: If Sosa's word is to be believed, Omar is an informant to the police. Hence why Sosa had Omar killed. Frank Lopez on the other hand doesn't buy it.

Mel Bernstein (Harris Yulin)

"Every day above ground is a good day."

• Ain't Too Proud to Beg When Tony turns his ire on Mel and shoots him in the gut, Mel's first reaction is begging Tony to let him live even offering an alliance. When that doesn't take, he goes down swearing at Tony.

Alejandro "Alex" Sosa (Paul Shenar)

"I only tell you once. Don't fuck me, Tony. Don't you ever try to fuck me."

• Berserk Button: Betrayal or in his words "Fucking him." When he first warns Tony he does it calmly, but threateningly. When Tony inadvertently fucks him by stopping Albert, he lets loose in a bellowing rage.

Sosa: I told you along time ago you fucking little monkey NOT TO FUCK ME!!

• Jerkass: More so than everyone else in this movie.
• Karma Houdini: The game helps you to rectify this.
• Karma Houdini Warranty: While we don't see him get his comeuppance, the dialogue between Tony and him implies he'll get his soon. Since Tony killed Albert instead of letting him kill the reporter, his wife and kids, the reporter not only has more security; but is also able to make his speech which helped expose and eventually bring down Sosa's empire.
