Hanzō Academy
Asuka | VA: Hitomi Harada
A 2nd-year student, Asuka is energetic and willing to work as hard as she can. Her grandfather was apparently a great ninja himself, whose influence contributes to Asuka's earnestness about her Kunoichi training.
She uses two Kōdachi, or short Japanese swords, in combat. Her Ninpo is based on toads.

Ikaruga | VA: Asami Imai
3rd-year student and class representative. As a descendant of a prestigious Ninja clan, she is formal and collected, but also a kind Onee-Sama. Just don't make her angry.
Her weapon is an heirloom sword called "Hi-Tsubame[1]". Her Ninpo is based on firebirds.

Katsuragi | VA: Yuu Kobayashi
A 3rd-year student who does thing first and thinks later. A tomboy through and through, she wears nothing under her school uniform, which she doesn't dress properly to begin with. She also loves girls, and prone to deliver unwelcome "Seku-Hara" upon them.
She fights using kicks augmented by her metal boots. Her Ninpo is based on dragons.

Yagyū | VA: Kaori Mizuhashi
Although a freshman, Yagyū has considerable talent for her age and schoolyear. She exhibits a stoic, quiet demeanor, on top of her no-nonsense personality. Despite that, she is always looking out for Hibari.
The Japanese umbrella she always carry around is also her weapon. Her Ninpo is based on squids.

Hibari | VA: Yuka Iguchi
A 1st-year student like Yagyū, but quite the opposite in terms of personality. Despite good intentions, she generally ends up as an accidental troublemaker. Apparently weak in combat, and she's aware of it, but makes up for it with her wits.
Her combat style is currently[when?] unknown. Her Ninpo is based on... rabbits.

2nd-year student. Leader of the Hebi Girls, and has a fierce rivaly with Asuka.
In addition to six Katana which she wields at the same time, she carries a Nōdachi on her back.

A 1st-year student and Gothic Lolita, who looks a bit younger than she actually is. She has a fixation on Yagyū, who was her very first opponent in combat.

- Antagonistic Counterpart: A mirror-match in a number of ways to Yagyū: same schoolyear in different schools, eyepatches of different designs and materials[3] in opposite positions, different types of umbrellas, hair color, etc.
- Attention Whore: Not to an extreme, but doesn't like being ignored.
- Does This Remind You of Anything?: Her eyepatch looks like the Solid Eye with a Mitsudomoe symbol.

3rd-year student. A sadistic Ojou, Haruka likes to pick on weaker people. Perhaps that explains why she seems to have her eyes on Hibari.

- Absolute Cleavage And how.
- Beware the Nice Ones Of all the members of the Crimson Squad, Haruka might not be the strongest in terms of raw strength/power, but she is arguably the most dangerous with how efficiently manipulative she is and how clever she is for things like sabotage, infiltration, etc. Basically, one could say that Haruka is the one among them that actually embodies skills that an actual ninja would be expected to be able to do, AND chillingly enough... she does pretty much everything with a sly grin on her face.
- Deadpan Snarker In most situations, she's almost always the calmest (seeming) of the bunch. It takes a considerable deal to get her to express anything other than acting like a cat toying with a mouse.
- Dominatrix She has the tendency to come across as one.
- Ojou: You certainly wouldn't have guessed from looking at her.
- Playing Both Sides Haruka is both straightforward, and yet quite underhanded. She has her own goals and objectives, but will take orders from those above her without much thought for loyalty. In the anime, she was the one ordered to at first set things up so that when the time was right, they could make a move for the Hanzo Academy's Good Ninja Super Secret Scroll by Suzune. Not long after, the headmaster of Hebijo personally ordered her to move forward with retrieving the scroll immediately, which she chose to inform Suzune about, and yet STILL went out and did anyway. Upon returning from the mission, she merely waited until Hibari came to Hebijo, claiming to be going where she'd be wanted while actually wanting to try and retrieve the scroll. At which point, we find out why Haruka was acting how she was... She couldn't have cared less about the super secret scroll stuff for either the headmaster OR Suzune, all she cared about was being able to play her game of seduction/manipulation in order to turn Hibari into a doll for herself.
- Stripperiffic: Again, her outfit is the most scanty one out of all 10 girls. No, Katsuragi doesn't count; that girl wasn't trying to wear much to begin with.
- Team Mom Of the Crimson Squad, in fact, of all the ninja factions introduced. Apart from the actual teachers, Haruka is the one who acts the most... "motherly" of them all.
- Those Who Fight Monsters Haruka grew up being treated like a doll by her mother, meanwhile her father was a corrupt and adulterous man. The mental weight of this led her to mere seconds from burning her home down (and possibly murdering her parents), except that Rin stepped in and took her in as an evil ninja recruit. By the time we meet her in the story, she's an evil ninja that loves manipulating as well as "collecting" people like dolls via using her puppetry shinobi arts.
- Weapon of Choice: Chemicals, carried around in glass tubes. In the games, she is also always seen fighting with a robotic puppet which she has help her attack.
- You Are What You Hate See Those Who Fight Monsters above...
Daidouji-Senpai | VA: Yuu Asakawa
An enigmatic senior student of Hebi who dons a Gakuran and a dangerous aura.
- Boobs of Steel: Most likely. She looks really strong, and has the largest bust than all 10 girls: 100 cm. (Just 1 cm bigger than Haruka.)
- Viewer Gender Confusion: She really is a girl, but dons a tattered Gakuran, along with a fitting dark aura and glowing red eyes. It's as if she's tailor-made for this trope.
