Toonville
Toonville is a fanfiction series made by LordryuTJ, started as the first fanfiction done by Lordryu, back in 2009. This show follows a crossover update, so when a good-enough cartoon comes during the series, that show is (sometimes) updated into Toonville. The show is a huge crossover overall with shows like Family Guy, Total Drama Island, Regular Show and so on from Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Nickelodeon, FOX, Disney, and more cartoon brands. This show is listed in the page for Lordryu TJ.
So far, there are three major versions of Toonville:
- The original (made in 2009; 2 seasons, one finished, show officially cancelled in 2010)
- The New Series (started in 2011; 5 confirmed seasons, first season currently in progress)
- In The Making (based on the original series; cancelled officially in 2010)
Toonville is one of various Mega Crossovers made by LordryuTJ, others being Total Cartoon Island (possibly[please verify] cancelled), Toonville Wrestling Entertainment (cancelled) and Ultimate Crossover Wrestling.
In General
- Anyone Can Die: Mostly in the original Toonville, but rarer in Toonville: The Remake. It isn't permanent, though.
- This trope is activated in most of the story Welcome to the Showdown.
- Breaking the Fourth Wall: Peter breaks it sometimes.
- Butt Monkey: Peter Griffin at times, and usually Lumpy.
- Owen falls into this category from time to time.
- Death Amnesia: Deaths are barely mentioned after the episode they happen in.
- Death Is Not Permanent
- Jerkass: Duncan from Total Drama.
- Mega Crossover: The obvious idea here in Toonville.
- Official Couple: In The New series, Flippy/Flaky is official.
- In 7 Minutes in Heaven: Toonville Edition, Panini gives K'nuckles a hard blowjob, which brands them as an official couple.
- Most couples from other shows are official couples as well.
- Rapid-Fire Comedy
- Spin-Off: Toonville in the Making, Toonville, the Remake! and 7 Minutes in Heaven: Toonville Edition all spin off of the original Toonville.
- X Meets Y: Family Guy meets Happy Tree Friends.
- To chapters 16 and 20-22 of Toonville in the Making, Total Drama Island meets Dragon Ball.
- and Family Guy actually meets every popular cartoon on Disney, Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network (including a twist of FOX and Adult Swim).
The New Series
- Attention Whore: Candace.
- Brother-Sister Incest: Phineas and Candace have a bit of a Kiss Kiss Slap type of relationship.
- Car Fu: Ezekiel vs. a bus. Winner? The bus.
- Curse Cut Short: This happens to Brian at the end of Toons Daily, after Adam West knocks Peter out with a stop sign, a la the iCarly April Fools' Day episode.
Brian: What... the... fu--(episode ends) |
- Deadly Fireworks Display: The exact thing that killed off Ferb in Final Procrastination.
- Five-Man Band:
- The Hero / The Heart: SpongeBob SquarePants, Peter or Flippy.
- The Lancer: Patrick, Lumpy or Mordecai and Rigby
- The Smart Guy / Tagalong Kid: Phineas, Twilight Sparkle or, again, Flippy.
- The Big Guy: Peter, Homer or Owen.
- The Chick: Candace, Flaky, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie or Lindsay.
- Hey, It's That Voice!: Lumpy and Flippy are "voiced" by Jerry Trainor and Nathan Kress of iCarly, respectively.
- Impaled with Extreme Prejudice: Noah in Final Procrastination.
- Jet Pack: One is bought by Peter in Toons Daily. It causes an airplane a while after Peter got it.
- Losing Your Head: Tyler lost half of his head.
- Mundane Made Awesome: Peter broke through town on various vehicles in The Patty Problem.
- No Theme Tune: This is done considering the fact that Lordryu can't really make an original song come out of his brain. Plus, it saves time and pages.
- Lordryu planned on using the iCarly theme song, but he advised against it.
- Proud to Be a Geek: Cody, Harold, Phineas and sometimes Flippy.
- Coincidentally, Flippy is voiced by Nathan Kress, who portrays Freddie Benson on iCarly, who is also a technial Geek.
- Setting Update
- Shout-Out: Ezekiel's death in Final Procrastination is similar to Terry's in the first Final Destination movie.
- In fact, most of the episode is like Final Destination. Except there's no disaster.
- Harold believed this was happening.
- In fact, most of the episode is like Final Destination. Except there's no disaster.
- The Remake: The original Toonville episodes that made sense are going to be remade. Currently, Blood Problem and TDA Returns were sorta brought back to life, only it's more well written and longer.
- X Meets Y: Among other shows, My Little Pony entered the fray here, after Lordryu's becoming of a brony.
The original series and In The Making
- Ambiguously Gay: Cody and Noah were guessed to be this in Intense Rage.
- Artistic License - Biology: Why do sharks breathe on land?
- Black Comedy Rape: Skating Retards has Owen and Peter rape Courtney. It still was censored, considering the fanfiction was rated T.
- Camp Gay: Duncan in The Episode Where In There Someone Becomes Gay After Having Sex With a Nerd In The Showers.
- AKA The Gay Delinquent.
- Climactic Music: In Total Chaos, the group of people who kill off the zombies do it during a random song.
- Death by Looking Up: Beware the mystery sniper.
- Death by Mocking: In a literal way, Owen is mocked and called Connie after throwing Izzy's ball. He explodes afterward. By screaming rage. This scene is found in this chapter.
- Everybody's Dead, Dave: Not everybody, but most of the cast in TDA Returns. That is, because Dr. Doofenshmirtz is controlling the set, and the invitations were a trick to come to the booby-trapped place.
- In The Pizza Problem, much of the cast present died because of either Chef, where he threw a bottle, causing a small chain reaction. or Panini, who started the fire by hitting a candle, or something.
- Maybe there's a chance The Pizza Problem's plot will be set for a Final Destination parody in The New Series.
- In the third episode of the New Series was a Final Destination parody, so yeah.
- The Pizza Problem was never mentioned in that episode, though.

- Gag Series: Both the original series and In The Making are this. For a better show, check out The New Series.
- Gainax Ending: The ending of The Gay Delinquent. Nobody understood what happened. Not even Lordryu himself.
- Groin Attack: Phineas gets this a lot.
- Peter lampshades this in Total Chaos.
Peter: I love this running gag! (Kicks Phineas in the groin five times) See? That's breaking the fourth wall! I just did it again, didn't I? |
- Stewie gives Brian a screamer, and accidentally shows himself and Phineas getting hit in the groin multiple times.
- Heroic BSOD: Private from The Penguins of Madagascar has one when Dr. Phil gets canceled, and gets scheduled to renew 20 years from then.
- He's Dead, Jim: After Lindsay finds Tyler's dead body in TDA Returns.
- Mind Screw: Who was, in fact, the sniper who shot down some people in TDA Returns?
- Was it Doofenshmirtz himself?
- Red Shirt: Phineas, but technically, he's wearing an orange-and-white shirt. He still dies frequently.
- Serial Killer: Chris McClean of Total Drama fame was thought to have been one in one of the first few chapters of The Making.
- Shout-Out: Harold's Super Sayian form shouts out to Dragon Ball.
- From the first ever episode:
- Super Strength: Harold the Super Sayian in chapters 16 and 20 to 22 of Toonville in the Making.
- The Chew Toy: Phineas
- Your Princess Is in Another Castle: Early in Toonville in the Making, it was thought that Chris McClean killed some of the Toonville cast, when it was a setup for a talk show including Chris and Meatwad as the hosts. This followed into the later chapters, with guests like Spongebob, Stan Smith, Peter Griffin and DJ.
- And also CAPTAIN FALCON!!
