• Acting for Two
  • Miyuki Sawashiro: Virgo, Ur and Urtear.
  • Loke and Toby both have Daisuke Kishio as their voice actor.
  • Cana, Aquarius and Young Gray are voiced by Eri Kitamura
  • Lucy and Gemini transformed as Lucy causing a lot of talking to herself.

• Actor Allusion: Azuma, when asked about Jellal, said that he's a man who walks the path of nihilism.
  • Gajeel screams "Who the hell do you think I am!" before attacking Natsu.
  • In-universe example: Natsu thinks that Faust is Makarov's Edolas counterpart because they sound similar (and have the same seiyuu).
  • Also Cana argues with Aquarius and Lucy says that are very similar and they have the same seiyuu as well.

  • Also another Gray this time he is Gajeel's brother and Jellal is his best friend Ryuu, Tooru and, Kazehaya.
    • And Lucy is in love with Jellal.
    • Also Virgo is a friend of Lucy's rival.
    • And Mavis is Lucy's rival.
  • Makarov and Gildarts are Pakkun and Kakashi respectively.

  • There's also starting to be quite a bit of it on the dub side. Sgt Frog is particularly notable.
    • Natsu, Lucy, and Cana are Death the Kid and the Thompson sisters.

  • There are multiple Bleach characters, namely minor ones except Elfman, Fried, Jellal and Pantherlily whose Chad, Grimmjow, Ulquiorra and Ginjo respectively.

• Shrug of God: All over the place to cover up consitency errors. Just read the Q&A sections at the back of each volume.
• What Could Have Been
  • Mashima mentioned in Volume 10 that he once thought of Erza's entire adult life being All Just a Dream of young Erza, but decided against it when he realized what that would mean for the entire rest of the series.
    • Considering the problems she has as an adult (not the least of which is that the love interest she relied on so much as a child is Brainwashed and Crazy), this would have some serious Unfortunate Implications for her mental state if it were true.
  • Wendy was supposed to be the Water Dragon
  • A very early design has Natsu as a Horned Humanoid, seen here.
    • Similarly, Erza's original character design had her as more of a Nubile Savage than the Magic Knight we know her as. Mashima's idea for her character was simply "a woman Badass enough to scare Natsu" and everything evolved from there.
  • Makarov was supposed to die during the Tenrou Island arc.
• You Make Me Sic: Post something along the lines of "Who's your favorite Fairy Tail character?" online and take a shot every time someone tells you the genre is actually spelled Fairy Tale.
