  • Ed Wood, despite being a biopic, gives us four well-defined examples: Ed is Sanguine, Dolores is Choleric, Bela is Melancholic, Bunny is Phlegmatic.
  • The Room is a good example of the four central characters manifesting all of the negative aspects of their respective humours, and none of the positive ones: Johnny is Melancholic, Lisa is Choleric, Mark is Phlegmatic, and Denny is Sanguine.
  • Waitress: Apart from the protagonist Jenna, the other five main characters follow this scheme.
    • Becky is Sanguine.
    • Earl is Choleric (he shows all the negative aspects and almost none of the positive ones). Also Cal is Choleric, and a more equilibrate one.
    • Old Joe, despite his Jerkass Facade, is Melancholic.
    • Dr. Pomatter is Phlegmatic.
    • Dawn is Supine.
  • Four Brothers: Bobby is Choleric, Jeremish is Melancholic, Angel is Sanguine and Jack is Phlegmatic.
  • Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade: Indy is Choleric, Henry Jones Sr. is Melancholic, Sallah is Sanguine, Marcus Brody is Phlegmatic.

  • A villainous example from X-Men First Class: The Faux Affably Evil Sebastian Shaw is sanguine, the pragmatic Emma Frost is choleric, the somber and competent Azazel is melancholic and the quiet, silent Riptide is phlegmatic.
  • Now and Then: Teeny is Sanguine, Roberta is Choleric, Samantha is Melancholic and Chrissy is Phlegmatic.
  • Mean Girls somewhat fits this trope: Cady is Saguine, Regina is Choleric, Karen is Phlegmatic and Gretchen is Melancholic.

    • Interestingly, the four main villains in the first film alone also fit this scheme: Hans, as is said above, is choleric; Karl is melancholic; Eddie is phlegmatic; Theo is sanguine.
