Sandy Mitchell is the pen-name of Alex Stewart, a British SF writer best known for his Warhammer 40000 Ciaphas Cain HERO OF THE IMPERIUM! novels. He also wrote the Dark Heresy novels Scourge the Heretic and Innocence Proves Nothing, featuring an inquisitorial team known as the "Carolus Angelae" put together by Inquisitor Carolus Finurbi.
