Teddy-Cat Hori (Real name: Sakie Hori)

  • Badass Adorable
  • But Not Too Foreign: Half-American on her mother's side.
  • Catgirl: Kind of. Her love of cats extended to her in-ring mannerisms and speech starting in V1.
  • Expy: Jumbo Hori
  • Finishing Move: Back Drop
  • Happily Married: Retired after the first game to get married, though she can be convinced to come back from 3 on.
  • Hot Mom: Has a single child in 3, though this fact, like her marriage, isn't brought up very often in game and was quietly dropped for Survivor.
  • Kindhearted Cat Lover: To the point that her love of cats influenced her choice of ring name.
  • Master of None: In the very first game, her stats were completely average or below average across the board. In a game whose battle system revolves around picking at an opponent's weaknesses, a lack of advantages is a big disadvantage.
  • Rose Haired Girl: Except in V1, where she's depicted with red hair.
  • Verbal Tic: "-nya", starting in V1.

Hitomi Fujishima/Honeybee Fujishima

Voiced by: Hiromi Yanase (Double Impact) Natsuko Kuwatani (Survivor 1 & 2)

Riyu Kikuchi/Aerial Kikuchi

Voiced by: Yumi Touma (Double Impact), Yuri Shiratori (1996 Drama CD), Nana Mizuki (Survivor 1 & 2)

Beauty Ichigaya (Real name: Reika Ichigaya[1])

Voiced by: Shiho Niiyama (Double Impact, 1995 Fandisc), Yumi Takada (1996 Drama CD), Michiko Neya (Survivor), Chiaki Takahashi (Survivor 2)

  • Attention Whore
  • Blondes Are Jerks
  • Boobs of Steel: Has a bust that won't lose out to the international characters, and is also one of the physically strongest out of the entire cast.
  • Expy: Jumbo Tsuruta and Naoya Ogawa.
  • Fake Boss: In 1, V1, and Bishoujo Wrestler Retsuden.
  • The Fighting Narcissist: It's rather telling that she chose her own ringname.
  • Final Boss: Alongside Jena Megalight in 2 and V2.
  • Finishing Move: Beauty Bomb (Powerbomb)
  • Genius Ditz: She can be incredibly spacy due to her Upperclass Twit tendencies, but not only is she a top class wrestler and a former world judo champion, but she also has enough business sense to run her own wrestling promotion (if only for a short while).
  • Its All About Me
  • Jerk With a Heart of Gold: She may be stuck up, selfish, and an airhead, but she's fiercely protective of those she calls her own.
  • Mad Libs Catchphrase: "...My [extremely exaggerated number of] fans across the nation!"
  • Noblewomans Laugh: She absolutely loves making use of this.
  • Ojou: Second type. So very, very much. She also has a bit of Upperclass Twit in her.
  • Princess Curls
  • Red Baron: "The World's Most Stuck Up Woman"
  • Rich Bitch
  • The Rival: To Yukiko.
  • Start My Own: Attempted to start her own promotion, JWI[2] in 2 and V2, taking a large number of SJW wrestlers with her. Although the chosen protagonist may choose to side with her, the group eventually crumbles, causing Beauty's Ten Minute Retirement.
  • Statuesque Stunner: 5cm taller than Bomber Kishima, making her routinely the tallest competitor amongst the Japanese cast.
  • Ten Minute Retirement: After losing a decisive bout to Yukiko which ensured the closure of JWI, Beauty announces her retirement... Only to secretly run off to America and team up with Jena Megalight in order to build up for her eventual return to Japan.
  • Training From Hell: Absolutely loves dishing this out to any girl unfortunate to be her kouhai. Examples are seen in V2, where she does this to the protagonist should she choose to join JWI, and V3, where she takes Satomi Kojima under her wing.

Panther Risako (Real name: Risako Sakuma)

Voiced by: Yuka Koyama (Double Impact), Emi Shinohara (1996 Drama CD, Survivor 1 & 2)

Pink Pirates (Pink Pirates #1 & #2)

  • Finishing Move: Foreign Object Attack
  • Masked Luchadoras
  • Mooks: Effectively their purpose in their only appearance. They serve as lower level members of elimination match teams and as the earliest opponents during the tag tournament chapter.
  • Palette Swap: Both are essentially identical in terms of stats and moveset. The only thing differentiating them from each other are the numbers on their masks, and that #1's color scheme is pink with gold trim while #2's is pink with turquoise trim.

Despina Libre (Real name: Toscana Libre)

Voiced by: Miki Fukui (Survivor), Mariko Tonomura (Survivor 2)

Chocho Caras/Hisas Caras

Voiced by: Miho Saiki (Survivor 1 & 2)

Blade Uehara/Em Sando (Real name: Kyouko Uehara)

Voiced by: Kazumi Okushima (Double Impact), Naomi Shindo (Survivor 1 & 2)

  • Big Ol Eyebrows: Starting in V1
  • Charlie Brown From Outta Town: Em Sando. Subverted a little bit in that she took up the mask and name in a completely different country.
  • Civil War: Minor version. Blade starts one with Beauty Ichigaya over their differing ideas on how JWI should be run in V2. The player can choose which one to side with, but in the end, Beauty defeats her in their decisive bout and Blade is sent packing.
  • Expy: Devil Masami, Masa Saitou, & El Santo
  • Finishing Move: Frankensteiner, Hurracanrana, Shooting Star Press
  • The Garfunkel: Minor version. While she isn't quite as famous or respected as Risako, she still has dedicated fans and is recognized as a greatly talented wrestler in her own right. Her private events in Survivor 2 reveal that she still has a bit of an inferiority complex and wonders every day whether or not she still has what it takes to compete, with both her opponents in general and Risako in particular.
  • Hidden Character: In the first game. After defeating her at the end of chapter 2, she offers to join the player's stable. However, in order to add her to the team, the player must discard one of his current members.
  • Loser Leaves Town: How she saw her confrontation with Risako. Thus, she exiled herself to Mexico and took up the Em Sando persona.
  • The Obi Wan: To Harumi Ootaka, Reiko Kanamori, Matsuri Atono, and Mami Sawanobori in Special.
  • Orekko
  • Paper Thin Disguise: Zigzagged. Her Reveal as being a Japanese wrestler and Risako's former partner was a genuinely surprising Plot Twist in the first game. When the story was revisited in V1 and Bishoujo Wrestler Retsuden, the addition of a mask does very little to fool the player, as she still wears the same costumes as her unmasked persona.
  • Red Baron: "Okinawan Eagle", "Aerial Artist", "God's Messenger"[3]
  • Start My Own: Started up the minor league promotion Pacific Ocean Women's Pro Wrestling[4] following the events of 2/V2, but the group couldn't compete with SNJ and eventually folded, leaving Blade as a free agent.
  • Who Wears Short Shorts: As part of her Survior redesign.
