Hazama, the smooth criminal, is a very well dressed troll who dances as he fights. He is the only character, male or female, who had a bath scene in game.

And the Fandom Rejoiced Fangirls Rejoiced!

  • Tekken has lots of them, like Jin Kazama and his evil father Kazuya Mishima, with their most appreciated habit of fighting shirtless. Other examples are Hwoarang and Lee Chaolan.
  • Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty had Raiden, and even stripped him naked near the end of the game. It's also fair to note that Snake's outfit suddenly and inexplicably got very, very tight. Particularly around the buttocks. The character designer freely admitted that Raiden was to appeal to girls who liked handsome young Bishonen, and Snake to girls who liked sexy older men.
    • Raiden was even to have visible panty lines under his suit, but, in the most recent figurine line, Raiden's underwear is nowhere to be seen - and Snake's underwear lines are incredibly visible over his stupidly well-sculpted buttocks, probably as a nod to the fact that Snake unintentionally became more popular with the girls than Raiden.
    • Liquid Snake. Blond, British, wanders around shirtless in Alaska.
    • Kazuhira Miller in Peace Walker. You get to take photos of him in his underwear. You can also molest him in his sleep and even have sex with him in one bonus mission in the game.
  • Several characters in Guilty Gear count as this, to the point where Walking Shirtless Scene Anji looks almost tame compared to the likes of Sol and Johnny.
    • Don't forget Bridget he's become quite the popular one amongst fangirls.
  • While every male character in BlazBlue is attractively designed, the biggest fangirls baits in the game are Jin and Hazama. Jin is a tsundere bishounen with tight clothing and troubled past. He actually had his sexy pillowcase sold at twice the amount of Noel's and Rachel's pillowcase weeks before it was even designed. Hazama, the smooth criminal, is a very well dressed troll who dances as he fights. He is the only character, male or female, who had a bath scene in game.
  • Albel Nox from Star Ocean: Till the End of Time has an outfit that features a completely purple ensemble including a tight, belly-revealing shirt and a purple skirt. See it for yourself. He also has an unlockable shirtless outfit (with Sarashi!), an imprisonment scene, permanent shackles at his neck and wrists, and Panty Shots.
  • Tales of Vesperia: Yuri Lowell, anyone? His outfits had built in chest exposure.
    • Some of his alternate outfits (especially in the Japanese Play Station 3 version) involve showing a fair bit of skin, or have him in skin-tight outfits.
  • Luke from Tales of the Abyss, with his midriff baring shirt and ripped abs; (and seems to lose the shirt altogether in many of his alternate outfits).
  • Mass Effect: The game's enormous female following is largely due to the ability to play a female Shepard, but in case that wasn't enough incentive, the game has:
    • Lieutenant Kaidan Alenko has a shot of his bare chest if you romance him.
    • Jacob Taylor also gets a Shirtless Scene during his romance sidequest.
    • James Vega takes up the mantle in the third game. He's not a romance option, but his main pastime seems to be working out in the Normandy hangar and he gets his own Shirtless Scene when he decides to get an N7 tattoo later in the game.
    • Then there's Thane Krios, the assassin seeking redemption with a troubled past, a taste for leather, and a tendency to show off a good portion of his pecs ( mind you, that's to help stave off a terminal disease, but still).
      • And don't forget that he was SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED by the creators to provide a male counterpart to the asari.
  • Vagrant Story has at least two.
  • Golden Sun: Dark Dawn gives us the Ayuthay story arc, the entirety of which Amiti is wearing more jewelry than clothing. Later lampshaded by Eoleo, who is himself not immune. Also mentioned to be the case in-universe for Isaac, who is now built, bearded, married, and a very Hot Dad.
  • Devil May Cry with Dante, courtesy of his shirtless younger self just stepping out of the shower in the first scene of the third game. It'd run in the family with his older twin Vergil and nephew Nero.
  • Persona 3 has Akihiko Sanada, a White-Haired Pretty Boy who is totally adorable. He gets a couple of shirtless scenes in the game: the Beach Episode where he walks out on the beach in nothing but a speedo, and the hot springs episode where he is once again lacking in the clothes department. In Persona 3: FES and Persona 3 Portable, you can actually have him wear his bathing suit to Tartarus, though he sadly keeps a shirt on. Taken Up to Eleven in Persona 3 Portable if you play as the female protagonist: not only can you wake up in a hotel room with him during the full moon event in July, but you can also have a romantic relationship with him -- you even go to his room and "spend a long time with him" when you max his S.Link!
  • Link in The Legend of Zelda series whenever he's an adult is a handsome Bishonen that gets a Shirtless Scene in Twilight Princess.
    • It gets worse with Nintendo Switch where the devs seem determined to turn him into a pretty boy Reluctant Fanservice Guy and Chick Magnet. There's two No-Gear Levels where Link starts wearing only his shorts until he finds armor, and there's even an entire chapter of the game where he becomes Stupid Sexy Flanders while Disguised in Drag.
    • And, it gets even worse in the direct sequel, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. After the opening cinematics where Link’s Bag of Spilling well… spills, his armor is wrecked, forcing him to run most of Sky Kingdom (the tutorial level) wearing only shorts. And yes, there is a snow-covered area there where he is at risk of freezing to death. It isn’t until after completing the Shrine in that area (which will almost definitely be the third Shrine for the player) that upper body armor is even available for poor Link here.
  • Sora, Riku, and Roxas in Kingdom Hearts.
  • The Soul Series has Siegfried the subverted Knight in Shining Armor, Patroklos whose the son of Sophitia, and Z.W.E.I.. More points for every male character in Soul Calibur V who can have their armor broken during battle and fight shirtless.
  • Sengoku Basara gives us Sanada Yukimura. Able to effortlessly go from Moe to Hot-Blooded kickassery at the drop of a hat. And don't even get us started on those abs...
  • The Prince manages to lose more and more of his upper-body clothes over the course of the first game, until he's completely shirtless.
  • Kaim from Lost Odyssey has very formfitting armour, with a nice sliver of flesh that shows off his hips and lower back. Not to mention the scene when he awakes after losing his memories, and is shirtless.
  • Chris Redfield and Albert Wesker from the Resident Evil saga.
  • No mention of Final Fantasy yet? Let's see - partial list;
  • How many do we have in The King of Fighters? Kyo Kusanagi, Iori Yagami, the Bogard brothers, Robert Garcia, Sie Kensou, Ralf Jones (in a Rated "M" for Manly way), Shen Woo, Duo Lon...
  • THE original Mr. Fanservice in fighting games, however, is Ryu. Tall, Dark and Handsome? Check. Heroic Build? Check. Badass inside the battlefield and a Nice Guy outside? Check. Walks barefoot? Check. Friends of both genders that he can be ship teased with once in a while? Check...
    • And in the other versions, the hot guys roster increases. Ken, Charlie, Fei Long, Dee Jay, Vega, Guile, Yun, Yang, arguably Guy and Cody, Alex, Remy, Abel...
  • Ghaleon from Lunar Silver Star Story certainly qualifies. Just his voice alone could be considered fanservice.
    • In the sequel White Knight Leo takes this place.. Especially considering his rather... "questionable" battle cries Working Designs gave him. Nall's human form may also qualify if you're into that kind of thing.
