Servants

Servants are noted by their summoned classes first and other applicable classes afterward.

Astolfo (Rider)

The twelfth paladin of Charlemagne and a Servant of the Rider class. He is described as being beautiful beyond all compare but also an incredible blabbermouth.

• Character Alignment: Chaotic Good.
• Dude Looks Like a Lady
• Heroes Prefer Swords
• Magic Music: His Noble Phantasm is the Black Luna horn that forces all opponents without sufficient magic resistance to flee.

• Red Baron: The Twelfth Paladin of Charlemagne.

Atalanta (Archer)

The huntress from Greek mythology summoned as a Servant of the Archer class. Her objective for seeking the Grail is to create a world where every child can be raised with love.

• Attention Deficit Ooh Shiny: Her Golden Apple skill uses treasure to distract the enemy and lure them in.
• Character Alignment: Neutral Evil.
• Death From Above: Her Seven Arrows noble phantasm, which causes seven meteor arrows to rain down on the enemy.
• Everything's Worse with Bears: As a huntress Atalanta has a general bear motif.
• Friend to All Children
• Little Bit Beastly: Possibly as a shoutout to her original legend, Atalanta has the ears and tail of a lion.
• Multicolored Hair
• Red Baron: The Chaste Huntress.
• Super Speed
• Unusual Ears: Possesses animal ears.

David (Archer)

The mythical King of Israel summoned as an Archer class Servant. As in the original Old Testament scriptures he has a weakness for beautiful women.

• Artifact of Death: The Arc of the Covenant. Touching it isn't a good idea.
• Character Alignment: Lawful Neutral
• Kill It with Fire and Shock and Awe: David’s ‘Flames upon the Altar’ noble phantasm envelops the target in thunderclouds and fire from the heavens.
• Magic Music: His magical harp can be used in exorcisms and to purge mental interference.
• Power Nullifier: His Five Stones noble phantasm can seal an opponent’s noble phantasm should the last stone hit.
• Red Baron: The King of Israel.
• Semi-Divine: As an ancestor of Christ, David has a low rank in Divinity and therefore gains protection against certain sacraments.
• Suffer the Slings: Naturally, being King David and all. It is the reason he is an Archer.

Frankenstein (Berserker)

A gender-bent version of the fictional monster in Mary Shelly’s story summoned as Berserker.

• Energy Absorption: Frankentein’s Galvanism skill allows her to absorb any energy or thaumatergical based attack into bio-electricity for her own use.

• Red Baron: Frankenstein's Monster.
• Shock and Awe
• Taking You with Me: Frankenstein’s Blasted Tree noble phantasm, which overloads her core and causes a tremendous explosion.

Saint George (Rider)

The Patron Saint of England summoned as a Rider-class Servant. His slaying of a dragon gives him an advantage against Servants with draconic attributes.

• Armor-Piercing Attack: By reversing its protective blessing Ascalon can become a sword that can penetrate any armor.
• Character Alignment: Lawful Good
• Cool Horse: Bayard the Phantom Warhorse.
• Knight in Shining Armor
• Made of Iron: His Endurance stat is high even among Servants.
• The Paragon
• Red Baron: The Dragon-Killing Saint.
• Semi-Divine: His status as a Christian Saint gives him a low level of Divinity.
• Stone Wall: To the extreme. He has A Rank magic resistance, A+ Endurance and a skill that allows him to block mental attacks. He has the Battle Continuation skill that allows him to keep fighting even if he takes a fatal injury and another skill that grants unlimited defensive power as long as he is defending someone else. His sword Ascalon grants a large defensive bonus and his horse Bayard can save him from a fatal attack once. On the other hand his Strength is abysmal at D Rank.

Jack the Ripper (Assassin/Berserker)

The legendary serial killer who stalked the streets of London at the end of the Nineteenth Century. Jack is summoned as the Assassin class, though she also qualifies for the Berserker class as well.

• Awesome but Impractical: Her Maria the Ripper noble phantasm, which can instantly kill the target if they are female, it is night time and the weather is misty. The attack power of this move is drastically reduced if even one of these conditions is not met.
• The Berserker
• Character Alignment: Chaotic Evil.
• Fog of Doom: Jack’s Misty Metropolis noble phantasm can cause this at will, and it’s nigh impossible to escape from.
• Fragile Speedster
• Freudian Excuse: All Jack wants is to return to the womb. By cutting open random prostitutes until she finds the right one.
• Gender Blender Name: Jack the Ripper, usually referred to by plain "Jack". Lampshaded by Reika.
• Gender Flip: It’s quite a touchy subject amongst the fandom.
• Knife Nut: Uses four knives as her main weapons.
• Red Baron: The Legendary Serial Killer.
• Ret-Gone: Her Information Erasure skill, which wipes out all traces of Jack’s appearance, True Name and abilities from the memories of her opponents after she retreats. Physical evidence is left behind, however.
• Royal We: Jack refers to herself with "we" and "us", though she's about as far away from royalty as you can get.
• Serial Killer: Of course.
• Stripperiffic: Her armor consists of a shirt with a Cleavage Window, bikini underwear, and thigh-high boots, all covered in bandages and belts.

Joan of Arc (Ruler/Saber)

The legendary Catholic Saint who oversees this incarnation of the Holy Grail War. As such, Joan possesses the custom Ruler class as well as the Saber class designation.

• Anti-Magic: Has the highest Magic Resistance of any Servant, ranked as unquantifiable at EX. Only an extremely small number of Church sacraments are capable of harming her.
• Character Alignment: Lawful Good.
• Combat Clairvoyance
• Heroes Prefer Swords
• Kill It with Fire: La Pucelle.
• Jeanne D'Archetype: Goes without saying.
• Lady of War
• The Last Dance: La Pucelle, Joan’s only noble phantasm. It gives her unimaginable power and holds the same rank as Excalibur, but it also symbolizes Joan’s burning at the stake. Because of this Joan’s life force is extinguished after the battle is over.
• Lightning Bruiser: According to her stats.
• Red Baron: The Standard-Bearer Who Justly Guides the Holy Grail War.

Karna (Lancer/Archer/Rider)

The invincible hero of the Mahabharata mythological cycle. Karna is summoned as a Lancer-class Servant, although he is also eligible for the Rider and Archer classes.

• Achilles' Heel: Karna's Brahmastra cannot be used on someone stronger than him, reflecting a curse on his life.
• The Archer
• Awesome but Impractical: Karna's Noble Phantasms are ludicrously powerful but can be easily gimped due to all the curses he accumulated in life.
• Blade on a Stick
• Character Alignment: Chaotic Evil, although this is stated to be incorrect and that his true alignment is Lawful Good.
• Demigod: Son of the Sun God. As such he has a very high rank in Divinity.
• Dude, Where's My Respect?: Weaponised. In life many of Karna’s deeds went unrecognized for various reasons. As such, his attributes will appear to be one rank lower than they really are to his opponents.
• Fantastic Nuke: Brahmastra Kundala.
• Honor Before Reason: In the Mahabharata Karna pledged himself to a noble who turned out to be evil and refused to go back on his oath. This is the cause of the discrepancy in his Character Alignment.
• Nigh Invulnerable: Karna’s Golden Armor forged from the rays of the sun. It is said to be difficult for even a god to destroy.
• Power At a Price: Karna’s most powerful noble phantasm can only be activated by sacrificing his Golden Armor and is only good for one shot.

Musashibo Benkei (Lancer)

The legendary warrior monk who served Minamoto no Yoshitsune. Actually not Benkei at all but Hitachibou Kaison, another warrior who served Minamoto. After fleeing from a battle and leaving Benkei to die, Kaison was overwhelmed by guilt and assumed the former’s identity. He is summoned as Lancer.

• Anti-Magic: Benkei possesses exorcism skills that can seal an opponent’s magecraft.
• Bare-Fisted Monk: Although he is a Lancer.
• Blade on a Stick
• Character Alignment: Chaotic Good
• Doppelganger Attack: Benkei Butsu.
• Hoist by His Own Petard: Weaponised – Benkei’s Eighth Implement noble phantasm can steal an opponent’s noble phantasm and use it against them.
• Red Baron: The Warrior Monk.
• Summon Magic: Benkei’s strongest noble phantasm, which summons five hundred astral pilgrims who drag anyone caught in their path into the void, instantly killing them.
• Super Empowering: Attendant of Iron, which Benkei can use to strengthen his Master.

Sakata Kintoki (Berserker)

One of Minamoto no Yorimitsu’s Four Heavenly Kings. He is summoned as a Berserker-class Servant.

• Adult Child: Said to have the mentality of an average grade schooler.
• An Axe to Grind
• The Berserker
• Character Alignment: Lawful Good.
• Friend to All Living Things
• Red Baron: Kintaro of Mt. Ashigara.
• Semi-Divine: His father was the God of Thunder, but his mother was a man-eating witch so his Divinity rank is very low.
• Shock and Awe
• Speaks Fluent Animal: Kintoki can talk to animals.
• Turns Red: Kintoki’s Mad Enhancement is only applied if he fails a Luck check after being attacked. If it does fail he goes wild.
• Wild Child

Siegfried (Saber/Rider)

The main hero of the Nibelungenlied epic, Siegfried’s class as a Servant is Saber. Siegfried gained an invincible body after slaying the dragon Fafnir and bathing in its blood.

• Achilles' Heel: His body is completely invincible except for a small leaf-shaped patch on his back.
• BFS: His weapon, "Balmung".
• Blood Bath: How he gained his invincible body.
• Character Alignment: Chaotic Good.
• Cool Sword: Balmung.
• Combat Clairvoyance: Thanks to a high rank in the Instinct skill.
• Heroes Prefer Swords
• Nigh Invulnerable: Siegfried’s invincible body gained after he bathed in the blood of the dragon Fafnir.
• Pretty Boy
• Red Baron: The Dragon-Blooded Knight.
• The Voiceless: Apparently does not speak at all.

Semiramis (Assassin/Caster)

A legendary queen who ruled over the ancient Assyrian Empire. She is summoned as an Assassin-class Servant and uses poison as her main weapon.

• Character Alignment: Lawful Evil.
• Chronic Backstabbing Disorder: In her original legend.
• God Save Us From the Queen: Perhaps the very first example of this.

• Red Baron: The Wise Queen of Assyria.

Shakespeare (Caster)

The world famous playwright summoned into the Caster Class. A master of story writing, Shakespeare’s main desire is to witness a grand tale of unparalleled beauty.

• Character Alignment: True Neutral.
• Dangerously Genre Savvy: Due to his grasp of narrative structure Shakespeare is obsessed with finding the ‘Protagonist’ of the story.
• Lethal Joke Character: Shakespeare has abysmal stats and zero combat abilities, but clever use of his skills and noble phantasms means he can effectively save scum his way to victory.
• Master of Disguise: Shakespeare’s first noble phantasm allows him to assume the appearance of another individual and interact with people who know said individual without arousing suspicion.
• Reality Warper: His second noble phantasm, First Folio, allows Shakespeare to alter of falsify the outcome of any event occurring within his sight. However, it can only be used a limited number of times.
• Red Baron: The Playwright.
• Super Empowering: His Enchantment skill, which is used to boost the combat abilities of his Master.
• Tactical Withdrawal: Is capable of making a flawless retreat at any time as long as his Master is safe.

Spartacus (Berserker)

The Roman Gladiator who led a slave rebellion over a thousand years ago. Spartacus is summoned as a Berserker.

• The Berserker
• Character Alignment: True Neutral.
• Combat Sadomasochist: Spartacus accumulates more prana the more he gets hurt, thus getting a power boost from it. A possible case of Blessed with Suck in the similar vein of Avenger from hollow ataraxia.
• Heroes Prefer Swords
• Heroic Resolve: To the extent that Spartacus cannot fight at full power unless he has sustained injuries.
• Heroic Second Wind: Spartacus’s noble phantasm, Howl of the Wounded Beast. Whenever Spartacus is injured part of the damage is converted into Prana, raising his physical abilities.
• Made of Iron: To Beyond the Impossible levels, with an Endurance Rank of EX.
• Martyr Without a Cause: Spartacus is utterly obsessed with ‘making the hard choices’ and believes that oppression gives the oppressed the strength to eventually rise up.
• Mighty Glacier
• Red Baron: The Gladiator.
• Taking You with Me: Spartacus can release all the Prana accumulated in his body in one massive blast right before he dies.

Vlad III (Lancer)

The infamous Lord of Wallachia known for impaling his enemies on spikes. Although he shares the Lancer designation of his Fate EXTRA counterpart they are completely different characters.

• Character Alignment: Lawful Neutral
• Blade on a Stick
• Impaled with Extreme Prejudice: To Beyond the Impossible levels. His noble phantasm, Kazıklı Bei, results in 20,000 spears rising from the ground and impaling his enemies.
• Knight Templar
• Our Vampires Are Different: Vlad was not a vampire, but his second noble phantasm has him embrace the folklore surrounding him in order to gain vampiric attributes.
• Red Baron: The Lord Impaler.
• You Don't Look Like You: For an unspecified reason, he bears next to no resemblance to the Fate Extra version of Vlad.
