Fuck No TVTropes is a Tumblr that, as the name explains, is opposed to TV Tropes, mainly all the horrible that has been spawned from it. While the blog author, Mark, does make some submissions of their own, it is mostly a community submission blog of things others find horrible about TV Tropes.

TV Tropes is allegedly a site where people look at the common tropes found in the media. What TV Tropes does not do is actually analyze anything and it has mostly become a toxic community of constant fanboy wanking.

All The Tropes has caught their attention and has been criticized whenever applicable as well.[1]

As of 2019, though, Fuck No TVTropes is long-abandoned; the most recent post is from March 2016. Surprisingly, it survived the kindergartenization of Tumblr in December 2018.

Fuck No TVTropes provides examples of the following tropes:

"I was so much of a weeaboo back in high school that my parents sent me to a camp run by Marcus Bachmann to make me normal. Now I'm more casual."

"Congrats, new mods. You're much more competent at website layout than the old mods."

RIP.

"I am...disgusted."

    • Bogleech also ventured to TV Tropes's My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Fetish Fuel pages.

"Five seconds, I've been on the page for five seconds. And do you know what I see? Without even having to scroll down?THE ABYSS. THE ABYSS IS STARING AT ME."

"I find it cliché and i really dislike every character in the show except Pyrrha."

  • Criticizes Everyone Equally: They do not play favorites. Whenever a troping website does something horrible, it will be called out. This one included.
  • Damned By Faint Praise: The blog author, after being asked if there's anything he likes about TV Tropes, has this to say.

I suppose a good aspect would be how they kept all the subpages on the top of the pages. That way you won’t have to go through the entire article looking for a link to their character page.

"...If you stare into the abyss of DeviantART, it stares back."

MOD Note: I felt really sorry for Leatherface when he chainsawed off those college students heads, too. such pain. Such angst.

"But all tropers care about are dem tits and dat hair."

"You could use a Fisher-Price shovel to find something inherently bad about the Cinderella narrative."

"Cake Farts" exists. That doesn't mean farting and shitting on cakes isn't still taboo!"

"It means that my list of priorities goes like this: 1. Dinosaurs 2. Pokémon 3. RuPaul's Drag Race 4. Shitty Fan Fiction 5. My personal appearance 6. Everything else."

"It's not MLP hate, it's Brony hate. The culture of Brony-ism isn't exactly healthy."

"Someone could make the argument, "Oh, they're all anime fifteen, which is like real life twenty."

"Order now and we'll throw in a free Guy Fawkes mask and a complementary finger-less gloves."

"I'd probably go all Tabula Rasa on it and fire everyone. I have never heard one good story about any mod on TV Tropes, period."

"Viva la revolución."

  • Lolicon: A submitter made a mistake, assuming that TV Tropes gotten rid of the lolicon pages, until he saw one of the examples for the "Lovable Sex Maniac" was a pedophile character. FNTVT answered the loli pages removal was only the surface area, though to actually purge all things loli from TV Tropes, one needs to purge the pedophile tropers.

"You can take the Lolicon pages out but you won't be able to take out the Lolicon lovers."

"Well, when an anime company creates a cutesy magical girl anime and targets it toward adult men, bad things are bound to happen."

MOD Note: Shimaspawn's doing God's work right now.

FNTVT answered, "Most of the bad comes from the forums, but it leeks onto the trope pages themselves."

"Think of it this way: Now that the Library of Alexandria is gone, we don't have to read Sappho's self-insert Greek Mythology shipping fan fics.

"...The makers of ATT left TVTropes on their Internet Mayflower and started a new colony of tropes."

"When TV Tropes is literally dead."

MOD Note: I'm very bothered about how they're labeling him as an idiot because of a disability. I'm also bothered about how they have a whole trope dedicated to how people view moose..."

MOD Note: No it [The Civil War] does not [Need a funny moments page]...But the war itself was, as you might be able to guess, a war.

"Why do these people always have to look so deeply into my little niece's favorite Nick Jr. shows?"

  1. And when the criticism was valid and not just "tropers are icky", we have addressed matters.
