Red Oni, Blue Oni - Ken is the Blue Oni to Goh's Red Oni.
The Ace - He proves to be on par with or even superior to Goh during their first battle. To be fair, Ken's skill in fighting solo spooked Goh out of his wits.
The Only One Allowed to Defeat You - Ken is utterly obsessed with hunting down and personally slaying the Mimetic Beast that killed his wife.
The Rival - to Goh and Godannar. A bit of a one-sided affair however.

Chuck Cunningham Syndrome - He appears for a total of two episodes and is never seen again.
