• Some fans were worried that the new expanded Justice League roster in Unlimited would make it impossible to spotlight some of the lesser characters. And then The Question showed up.
  • A Birds of Prey episode of Justice League featuring The Question with pieces taken from the excellent Batman/Huntress: Cry for Blood miniseries is already pretty cool. But add Glenn Shadix as the giant, albino mobster and Gail Simone writing the script, and you're almost perfect. And then it referenced Garth Ennis's Hitman.
  • And then there was the episode where they fight a nanotech space probe by using a BFG in an episode written by Warren Ellis with John C McGinley as The Atom.
  • On a similar note, after the apparent 'death' of the Teen Titans series, there was much outcry in the fandom for another season that might be more true to the team's origins, an- Young Justice is a series now?!?! With Greg Weisman at the helm too?! SWEET!!!
    • And from that show itself, we have Bruce Greenwood as Batman again, along with several producers from the same direct to DVD masterpiece. Then the designer of costumes from Crisis on Two Earths is attached to the series, to much approval.

  • As of now people are really going wild with the official announcement. An Avatar sequel featuring the next avatar as a female protagonist set in a Steampunk city being taught airbending by Aang's son; Most people were pleased.

  • For fans of the regular My Little Pony the addition of colts and stallions was this, since G3 infamously lacked them. As was going back to action based plots and having antagonists. The colors are similar to G1 too. What probably made fans most happy was the inclusion of Unipegs in canon.
  • Princess Luna, a character who got one minute of screen time and one line of dialogue in the second episode, not only returning after a year-long absence, but also getting her own focus episode. This was especially important since her absence had created her own fanbase.
  • What's that? Rainbow Dash refers to the grey pegasus as "Derpy"? She has a voice?!?!? And the fanbase goes BATSHIT FUCKING INSANE. See for yourself.
  • The cherry on top of the whole season is DJ PON-3 appearing again in the finale, and finally shows of her eyes!!!

• Scooby Doo On Zombie Island. The trailers on Cartoon Network and in the Warner videos sparked interest. The dark, forboding opener of a castle in a thunderstorm - meh, seen it before. Then a monster rips open doors to reveal...Fred, Velma and Daphne - together for the first time in more than 15 years. Thirty seconds later, that oh so beautiful theme song plays - and there was no doubt the Dork Age was over and Scooby Doo was BACK.
• Nearly 5 years after its cancellation Futurama was revived in the form of 4 DVD movies. When an entire new series was announced not long after (to air on Comedy Central, no less, and not on the dreaded Fox), the reaction was vastly enthusiastic. Until Fox announced that they were looking for replacements for the original voice cast. They soon changed their mind. Rumor has it the announcement was just a move in the salary negotiation.
• Man, it sucks that the last season of The Boondocks was the end. I'll go ahead and turn on the Ricky Smiley radio show...oh, hey, that's Granddad! That's pretty nea-- DID HE JUST SAY AARON MCGRUDER IS WORKING ON SEASON 4? HELL YES!!!
• There's a new Pound Puppies cartoon on The Hub? Meh, I'm probably not going to watch it- wait - created by Paul and Joe? I'm going to have to check this out.
• Oh geez, The Ren and Stimpy Show is back? Let me guess, it's more Bob Camp and Games Studio quality...WAIT JOHN K IS FINALLY RETURNING AND ALLOWED TO WORK ON HIS SHOW AGAIN FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 13 YEARS?! AND IT'S ACTUALLY A GROWN UP VERSION OF THE SHOW FOR ALL OF THE ORIGINAL FANS TO COMPLETE WITH EDGY CONTENT LIKE SOUTH PARK AND FAMILY GUY? YES YES YES!
• Man, Generator Rex and Ben 10 are both such awesome shows. It'd be awesome if they had a Crossover...wait, they are?! And MAN OF ACTION is doing it?!
• News that The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes would contain 12 self-contained episodes at the end of its second season made fans who enjoyed the first season's serial format believe a decline in quality would become inevitable. Then, this little screenshot appeared. The complete Fantastic Four, Spider-Man (after reportedly suffering from some sort of Spider-Ban for several years), Luke Cage, and Iron Fist! And that might not be all of them!
  • While fans enjoyed the first several episodes of the second season, including the ones that officially brought most of the heroes in that picture into the EMH universe, many of them still dreaded the self-contained episodes. However, synopses soon promised a revenge story for Loki, and later, the return of Red Skull.
• "Justice League Doom: A loose adaptation of "Tower of Babel"? It might be good. Holy crap, just like the Superman/Batman movies, Tim Daly, Kevin Conroy, and Susan Eisenberg are back in their respective roles as Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman?! And this time, Michael Rosenbaum and Carl Lumbly are back in the respective roles of the Flash and the Martian Manhunter as well?! And Nathan Fillion is once again Green Lantern?! And It's being done by TMS Entertainment?! "YES, I AM WATCHING THIS!!!"

• Cartoon Network's new DC Nation block caught a few eyes with announcements that Lauren Faust is working on a series of shorts (Super Best Friends Forever), brand new Teen Titans shorts, and the Plastic Man TV Show finally being made (though likely in short format). The trailer can be found here.

• They're finally releasing Tiny Toon Adventures How I Spent My Vacation on DVD!
• When CBeebies changed their extremely popular preschool-targeted series Waybuloo by shortening the length, adding a narrator, and eliminating the yogo segments (yogo being a gentle form of yoga), the reaction was predictable and immediate. Parents took to the BBC's message boards in droves complaining that neither they nor their children liked the new format. The BBC restored the program the very next, resulting in happy shouts of "Buloo!" from children. (On the program, when the characters reach a state of great contentedness, they shout "Buloo!" and float in the air.)
