Here be the characters of Tekkaman Blade

Protagonist Tekkamen

D-Boy/Blade/Slade/Takaya Aiba/Nick Carter/Ness Carter/Tekkaman Blade/Teknoman Slade

The titular main character of the show. Takaya is the 2nd son of the Aiba family and was to become a Tekkaman, until his father saved him and had him launched to Earth, in turn becoming Tekkaman Blade, a being hell bent on Radam's destruction. He joined the Space Knights to defeat the Radam (getting the nickname D-Boy), succeeds, but there's a lot of sacrifices that he had to made. Eventually, however, he becomes more stable and assists his girlfriend Aki in training new generation of good Tekkamen.

• Asleep for Days: After getting hit by Evil's Psy-Voltekka.

• Break the Cutie : His current self is a pretty nice guy by itself, despite his Jerkass tendency, but seriously, look at the flashback of his past life and see how much he changed.

• Good Is Not Nice: Particularly in the beginning. Subverted later on. He has always been an outgoing Nice Guy, as implied during the start of the series.

• Badass Adorable : Lapse with Badass Normal, she might be The Chick, but early on the series she is said to be the physically strongest of the Space Knights, with the exception of D-Boy, so much that shes confident enough to challenge D-Boy to spar with her after throwing a guy off.

• Like Brother and Sister : With D-Boy(who feels her being similar to his younger sister).
• Mood Whiplash : Having such a cheerful child in a middle of a Crapsack World that is filled by adults feels really inappropriate. Levin kinda lampshades it early on in the series.
• Tagalong Kid
• You Remind Me of X : Her similarity with D-Boys's sister is one of the reason that she's the first person that can talk casually with D-Boy

Heinrich von Freeman/Commander Jameson

• Commanding Coolness: In the English dub.
• Da Chief
• Heroic Albino
• Manipulative Bastard : He does care for his teammates, but the way he manipulated D-Boy's existence, the millitary AND Balzac all at the same time is brilliant.

Honda/Mac Macelroy

• Gentle Giant : His dream is to fly a kite after world peace is restored.

• Call to Agriculture: In the second season; both results in and is the result of Character Development.

• Asshole Victim: Becomes one in Super Robot Wars Judgment, where he even serves as Muruta Azrael's dragon.
  • To further drive the point home, he effectively takes the same place as Complete Monster Miwa Sakimori had serving the same guy in Super Robot Wars Alpha 3.
• Fantastic Racism: To extremes at time, even treating the hero like a bastard traitor to his own race simply for being a Tekkaman despite the fact he obviously is one Colbert's side (i.e.- he wants the Radam dead as much as said General does)

Patriarch of the Aiba family, he rescues his second-eldest son from the Radam, launching him in an escape pod to earth, before dying from the after-effects of a failed transformation.
