Deathmoon Family - Shadow Mansion Inhabitants
Reversa
A freaky but incredibly adorable love-crazed murderess who lives as the hostess of the Shadow Mansion. She would stoop to any low to get the heart of the one she loves, even attempting to harm herself in any way to get his approval, and would even kill him. Much to anyone's dismay, she keeps a flowerbed of severed limbs and heads in her backyard, which is constantly updated the more Reversa does her gardening. She holds a sacred burning sword called the Blade of Sleeping Flames, which is her favorite weapon.
- Action Girl: Definitely one of the darker examples.
- Ax Crazy: And it is absolutely glorious. It's also scary at the same time.
- And I Must Scream: Other than being ridiculously strong with a healing factor rivaled only by the Homunculi from Fullmetal Alchemist, the things she does to herself and other people are... extreme, to say the least.
- Author Appeal: One of the creator's favorite characters-- and it shows.
- Absurdly Sharp Blade: Even despite how much it's used.
- A Love to Dismember: She has... a thing for severed limbs and heads. Look at the If I Can't Have You entry, as well.
- Badass
- Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: She's nice and kind one second, and the next, she'll stab you in the face.
- Blood Bath: Only to be expected by one with mental health such as her.
- Beat Still My Heart: In true Mortal Kombat fashion, some of the ways she finishes her victims. However, she doesn't keep them.
- Break the Cutie: In reality, when you get past her evil and murderous facade, she's a scared little girl twisted by the love she never got, which leads to...
- Broken Bird
- Cute and Psycho
- Cute Monster Girl: Especially so.
- Clingy Jealous Girl: Yeeeeeeeup.
- Cruel and Unusual Death: To a lot of her victims, usually for kicks. She narrowly escaped this herself from the man she loved.
- Darkness Equals Death: Never go into any place with her in it without bringing a flashlight. It will turn bad for you.
- Elegant Gothic Lolita: One of her alternate dresses. Basically, she takes an evil version of the Sweet Lolita style where the bright colors are replaced with her own pallate. And DAMN does she look good in it.
- Elemental Powers: But likes fire and dark the best however.
- Even Evil Has Standards: She doesn't kill the little kiddies or her personal best friends.
- Eye Scream: Due to her ridiculous regeneration powers, and how willing she is to harm herself...
- Fetish Fuel Station Attendant: In a twisted sort of way, yes.
- Femme Fatale: To.. everyone.
- Flight
- Girl with Psycho Weapon: Flaming sword. That is all.
- Immortality
- Humanoid Abomination: A standard for her species, but she takes it up a notch, emphasis on the "abomination" part.
- If I Can't Have You: She's so bat-shit insane that she would be willing to kill Daniel and keep his disembodied head for hers to keep.
- Healing Factor: Which is much powerful than others of her species, due to her being the only vampire Zealite.
- Lightning Bruiser: Easily one of the strongest Zealites, even stepping up to par with the commanders.
- Looks Like She Is Enjoying It
- Mini-Dress of Power: Her main choice of clothing. Her evil Sweet Lolita costume is an even fancier version of it.
- Made of Iron: Being a Zealite, she's very resistant but is even more so because of her vampirism, and combined with her other traits means she's pretty much the ultimate assassin.
- Manipulative Bitch: Reversa knows how to pull the heartstrings, and can lead people onto the wrong things with ease.
- Meaningful Name: Reversa was not like this at all in her beta phases, in fact, as it says on her wiki page, she was quite the opposite. Fridge Brilliance?
- Nightmare Fuel Station Attendant: But because of her nature, she's also like this.
- Nightmare Fetishist: No other person shares the same interest she has when it comes to her gardening. Maybe Linoura, but other than that...
- The Ophelia: Reversa is an absolute emotional wreck. Her love for Daniel has been corrupted to the point where she's basically hounding him and wanting to keep him for herself, no matter if he's alive or not. Not only that, beyond her psychotic nature, she's just really scared herself and really just wants love, being deprived of it for several hundreds of years. You just can't help but feel sad for the girl...
- Stalker with a Crush: Definitely determined, that's for sure.
- Love Makes You Crazy
- Love Makes You Evil
- Playing with Fire: Her main weapon is a sword with purple flames coming off of it.
- Super Strength: Very strong physically due to being a Zealite and not a regular human.
- Sexy Walk: She does this from time to time.
- Shout-Out: Her Nightmare Garden is very similar to a certain Kagamine twin's collection.
- Reversa was based off of a depiction of herself from a Pokemon Creepypasta, one of the creator's previous works.
- More recently, her Sweet Lolita costume is a reference to Bad Girl, another crazed-yet-pretty murderess.
- Unstoppable Rage: You'd better pray a savior comes when she gets angry.
- Yandere: A hardcore example. Also mixes in with The Ophelia.
- Zettai Ryouiki
Trionais
Shirumaten
A Jiangshi vampire Remuse woman who serves as one of Reversa's personal guardians. She is very much unlike the others of her kind, or even the standard of Deathmoon monsters, falling into the catergory that makes up Diguarde, Rosenthal etc. She's virtuous and bold, willing to put herself in danger for Reversa.
Sacriphon
Rachela
Chaos Candelabra
Phil and his biker gang
A rough and tumbling group of bandits who are infamous in Vespera for their ruthless plundering, getting what they want when they want it. However, ever since the disease spread around and effectively broke all sembalance of law or order inside the city, they have had free reign over to do anything they wanted. The four leaders of the group; Phil Korosou, John Norris, Greg Mandregola, and the mayor's daughter, Justine Retshura, along with the others, are recognized as the opposite of Roland's group, the main heroes of the Epidemic short story.
---
- Evil Counterpart: To Roland's group. However, by the end, they start changing their minds.
- Foil: Again, to Roland's group. While the good guys consist of nice, upstanding, high class aristocrats who just want to survive the infestation, the bandits are rude, brash, greedy, and at worst, even cruel bastards who steal everything in sight and dispose of whoever gets in their way.
- All Bikers Are Hells Angels
- Badass Crew: They might not get along sometimes, but when they really get their shite together, you'd better be scared.
- Five-Bad Band: The main five themselves. However, they have a bunch more Mooks on their team as well. And they're not even the antagonists of the story they appear in.
- The Big Bad: Phil Korosou
- The Dragon: John Norris
- The Evil Genius: Greg Mandregola
- The Brute: Prometheus
- The Dark Chick: Justine Retshura
- Shout-Out: The main four are based off of a Co-Op group from a Dead Island let's play made by Dark Syde Phil, while Prometheus is based off of Scorcher from Adventure Time.
Phil "Roastell" Korosou
The leader of the gang, and an infamous butcher / thief whose reputation has become known althroughout Vespera. His goal for every day is to "steal, burn the city, and probably knock some heads before going home and getting some.". He terrorizes people in the city, so police forces are set up real tight to make sure he and his crew don't cause trouble. In addition, he treats everyone in his gang excluding Greg, John, Justine and Prometheus as nothing more than tools to make sure he gets what he wants.
When the outbreak overtook Vespera and chaos broke out, his entire group has had full reign over the city, only to be impeded by Roland's team, who constantly drives him and his crew away.
However, when Idyuun reveals herself and showers the streets with her familiars, combined with the invasion of Abyss Knights among the battlefield, he had no choice but to bond to his rival's group in order to survive. Ironically, in the amount of time he's bonded with the other group, when shit goes down hard, he and the other ones left in his gang decide to sacrifice themselves to make sure Roland and his group live to see the end.
- Badass
- Cluster F-Bomb: He spouts it out more than anybody else in the story.
- Jerkass
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold: To the people he likes.
- Evil Counterpart: To Roland.
- Shout-Out: He is based off of Dark Syde Phil, a gaming personality known as the King of Hate because of his honest-but-brutal opinions towards what he plays and the community, and is even named after him, excluding the last name Korosou.
- He's also mixed in with the biker leader from the original 1970's Dawn of the Dead.
- Meaningful Name: Korosou is japanese for murder, and Roastell is pretty obvious, even if it is a homage to his inspiration's name.
- Playing with Fire
John Norris
Phil's right-hand man. He's a bit more composed than his friends, but proves that the group has a standard for being psychotic bastards. John is the tank for the group, and is the one who usually keeps a watch out for any enemies that should come their way. He's been Phil's friend since childhood, and would tear everything up just to make sure his friend isn't hurt.
He carries around a halberd, and is incredibly careful, even in the outbreak while everyone else is going crazy with plundering and having the time of their lives.
In the end, he sacrifices his life with the others to make sure Roland's group lives.
Greg Mandregola
Another of Phil's accomplices, and a man who can turn from calm to psychotic in less than a second.
Justine Retshura
A girl who serves as one of Phil's top five in his group, and a cat woman whose beauty is constrasted by her violent personality. She is the mayor of Vespera's daughter, and oftenly sneaks away from home to be with Phil's gang and commit crimes, mostly because she and her mother don't like each other all that much. Justine is arguably the most deceptive of the five, as she is just as dangerous as the other four, but her appearance says otherwise, albeit black and red being a prominent color in her design. Either way, she is at least a bit kinder than the rest, being able to show mercy and spares little kids such as Michael from harm.
In the end, she sacrifices her life with the others to protect Roland's group, and as a final request, due to finally softening up, she pleads to them to tell her mother that she's sorry for everything she ever did and that she never really hated her.
- Action Girl
- Antagonistic Offspring
- Badass
- Badass Adorable: Come on, her dress, her cute face, her cat ears and tail, her genuinely nice disposition, how can anyone believe she's bad?
- Cute and Psycho
- Cat People
- Captain Estraz: Arguably of Reversa, as strange as that sounds.
- Dark Magical Girl
- Does This Remind You Of Anyone: A cute-but-disturbed girl who has a crazy sword of sorts... Reversa?
- Elegant Gothic Lolita: Her main style of clothing is a Sweet Lolita dress all colored with black and red.
- Even Evil Has Standards: She doesn't hurt little kids.
- Fetish Fuel Station Attendant: Of course.
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Is arguably the nicest of the five.
- Girl with Psycho Weapon: Her weapon of choice is a chainsaw sword, much like Sarutenia.
- Shout-Out: Her name is based off of Mayor Mc Justin from the co-op playthrough.
- Her black and red Sweet Lolita dress, combined with her personality at times, shares much similarities with Bad Girl.
- Zettai Ryouiki
Prometheus
A man covered entirely in bandages, wearing a cloak, is very skeletal in nature and hisses a lot. He is a pyromaniac, so he adores setting things on fire, along with being a sadist who is completely devoid of reasoning. He is an undead serial killer, but he came back via his own volition, as opposed to the other one, who was brought back by Pandora to serve the side of good.
Like his good counterpart, he is loyal to Phil in the same way that Erebus is loyal to Roland.
In the battle between him and Erebus, we learn that they're both brothers except they're different as night and day. They hate each other's guts, and ever since they were little, Prometheus has always rubbed it in his brother's face that he was better than him. That is, until it all finally came to an end in their fight, where Erebus finally silences his brother once and for all. Done in the most epic way, as well.
