Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.


This sub-division of the Tokimeki Memorial Character Sheet is dedicated to characters having appeared in the Habataki Saga of the franchise, i.e. Tokimeki Memorial Girl's Side 1 and its spin-off games and drama CDs.

Kei Hazuki

Voiced by: Hikaru Midorikawa

The main hero of the Habataki Saga, and basically the "perfect guy" of this game (i.e. the male counterpart of Shiori Fujisaki in the Kirameki Saga). In short, he's smart, athletic, popular, and good-looking (to the point that he works part-time as a model!). And like Shiori of the first game, this guy also demands high stats from the player. While he seems a bit snobbish at first impression, he warms up to the player once she gets to know him better. He's actually the boy the player met in her childhood.

  • The Ace: He's good-looking, athletic, and very intelligent, as per usual for TokiMemo's "prince" characters.
  • Bishounen: Fits him right to a T.
  • The Cameo: On a banner in the shopping mall in Girl's Side 2.
  • Cannot Spit It Out: He recognizes the heroine as the girl from his childhood early on, but doesn't say anything to her about it until his confession at the end because, he explains, he felt he'd changed too much over the years.
  • Catch Phrase: He's fond of "betsuni" ("it's no big deal/nothing special").
  • Childhood Friend Romance
  • Crash Into Hello: The heroine meets him this way.
  • Cuteness Proximity: During one of his CG events, the heroine runs into the ordinarily level-headed Hazuki lavishing attention on a bunch of kittens.
  • Informed Attractiveness: He is a model after all. One of the rarer cases of this trope being used in an anime/game instead of the usual Bishie Sparkle trope.
  • Kindhearted Cat Lover: Kei loves cats with a passion and is always kind to them.
  • Nintendo Hard: Just like Shiori Fujisaki.
  • Not a Morning Person: He has a habit of falling asleep in class because of his modeling jobs. When he does, he scores a zero for that exam, one of the only smudges against his status as The Ace.
  • The Stoic: He's rather apathetic and doesn't get worked up about much.


Sakuya Morimura

Voiced by: Akira Ishida

The bookwormish but nice guy of the Habataki Saga, most likely patterned after Kirameki's Mio Kisaragi. Interested in plants and gardening.

  • Adorkable: Just look at him!
  • Bothering by the Book: How he saves the heroine from a date-crashing salesman. He simply asks the salesman a lot of questions about his product (if it's as eco-friendly as the bottle states, how the manufacturing wastes are disposed of, what the packaging is made of, etc.) until the poor salesman gets flustered and runs off.
  • The Cameo: In Girl's Side 2, he appears in the background of the autumn leaves trail.
  • Cloudcuckoolander: Has a bit of this to him, what with his whole "I wish I could talk to plants" thing...
  • Flower Motifs: Sakuya really loves plants. He even plants some anemones and once they have grown he takes the heroine to see them where he admits to her that they represent the love he has for her.
  • Megane
  • Nice Guy
  • Post-Kiss Catatonia: Getting his (DS-exclusive) kiss ending results in a couple of panels of "............" and his seiyuu gasping and going "Ah...!? Wha...!?"
  • Rummage Sale Reject: His taste in non-school-uniform clothing is... unique.
  • Why Did It Have To Be Water?: In one of his CG events, the heroine questions Sakuya on why he won't let go of the inflatable ball, and he tells her it's because he can't swim.
  • You Gotta Have Blue Hair: Blue... aqua... turquoise... whatever you wanna call his hair color. The chalkboard doodle from his ending shows it as lime green.


Kazuma Suzuka

Voiced by: Nobuyuki Hiyama

The sporty guy. Plays basketball, and always sports a band-aid under his left eye. Once he gets close to the protagonist, he'll become rather attached and protective of her.

  • Baka: Expect to hear it a lot when dating him; he uses it as an endearment.
  • Book Dumb: He's not very good at academic studies.
  • The Cameo: In Girl's Side 2, he appears in the background at the zoo's white tiger exhibit.
  • Eagle Land: He plans on going to America to play professional basketball there, and in his confession to the protagonist, asks her to come with him.
  • Gentle Giant: Who evolves into a Knight in Shining Armor when he gets really close to the protagonist.
  • Hot-Blooded
  • Knight in Shining Armor: Once he is in love with the heroine.
  • Pointless Band-Aid
  • Suspiciously Specific Denial: If you're working at the coffee shop and he likes you enough, he'll show up at work claiming, "I got thirsty while I was training. This coffee house is on my jogging route! That's why!" The only thing is, nobody actually asked why he was there...
  • Why Did It Have To Be Lions?: He is afraid of lions, as the heroine finds out when they visit the zoo.

Madoka Kijyou

Voiced by: Ryotaro Okiayu

The bruiser and flirt. Comes off a delinquent at first but proves to be a nice guy. Loves motorcycles, and is actually a great cook. Later, the protagonist learns he has issues with his family.

Shiki Mihara

Voiced by: Shinichiro Miki

The artistic guy. Very handsome to the point of coming a little too close to being feminine, which extends to his fashion statement. He's also quite verbal and melodramatic in expressing his feelings.

  • Anguished Declaration of Love: His ultimate confession to the heroine has the flavor of one, especially if she tells him that she doesn't think she's good enough for him.
  • Attractive Bent Gender: When fully dressed up, he's said to be even more beautiful than the girls (and they love him for it too)!
  • Bishounen: Stands out as bishounen even amidst a cast of bishounen.
  • The Cameo: In Girl's Side 2, one of the museum's events is an exhibit of his work, and if the protagonist goes there on a date or a school outing, he's visible in the background.
  • Camp Straight: His flamboyant fashion sense and comfort with dressing in women's clothing or declaring himself a fairy prince raise some questions about his orientation, but he doesn't give any indication of being interested in guys.
  • The Dandy: He has a thing for fancy clothing, art and 'beauty' in general.
  • Insufferable Genius: A bit. He's incredibly vain, albeit generally pleasant and rarely intentionally condescending. Considering that most of his artwork from middle school went to various museums and art galleries, his ego is at least somewhat justified.
  • Large Ham

  • Momma's Boy: Shiki loves his mommy. Mostly just played as indicative of his quirkiness rather than as a negative.
  • Rapunzel Hair: Though it can be hard to tell since most of his character portraits are viewed from the front, a few of his album shots show that his hair is very long.
  • Spoiled Sweet: His ego notwithstanding, he's a pretty nice guy, and probably the most affectionate boyfriend in the game.
  • Thanks for the Mammary: In the most absurd way. In one of his events, he's groping a bust.

Wataru Hibiya

Voiced by: Kappei Yamaguchi

The Kohai of the game. A year younger than the protagonist, and given his age is such a wannabe trying to be a "man". A member of the baseball team.


Reiichi Himuro

Voiced by: Takehito Koyasu

The protagonist's homeroom and math teacher. He is very stern and demanding, but truly means well for his students, which (along with his good looks) makes him popular in spite of his strict attitude.

  • Beautiful Dreamer: In one of his events, when he falls asleep during the heroine's remedial lesson.
  • Bishounen: Older aged example.
    • Bishie Sparkle: He manages to do a little one during the summer band camp.
  • The Cameo: In Girl's Side 2, he appears in the background if the heroine visits the aquarium.
  • Catch Phrase: He has a habit of saying "Ijou" ("That's all") at the end of his speeches to the class, but doesn't do it often enough to constitute a Verbal Tic.
  • Cool Car: A Maserati.
  • Defrosting Ice Queen
  • Drives Like Crazy: He's normally a safe driver, but one of the special scenes involves him "teaching a lesson" to another driver who cut him off while on a date with the heroine. She's understandably scared (but then thanks him for the drive like any other date and makes no mention of it when they get home).
  • Gilligan Cut: In his Christmas event in the third year, when the protagonist asks him to take him with her to his friend's jazz bar, he adamantly refuses, saying it's no place for him to take a student. The game immediately cuts to Himuro's friend welcoming them both to the bar: "Table for two?"
  • Hot for Student
  • Hot Teacher: HELL [dead link] YEAH! [dead link]
  • Kuudere: Type 1.
  • Love Is a Weakness: If the heroine asks him if he's ever been in love, he goes off on an explanation that love is just something that happens in your brain and that he's not the type to fall for such silliness. However, when she presses him as to whether he's ever been in love, he admits that he never said he'd never been in love, then promptly ends the conversation.
  • May–December Romance: He's 27 at the start of the game, 30 by the ending, about twelve years older than the heroine.
  • Moe: He's secretly fond of it. When the heroine asks him if he thinks she's attractive, he tells her that he finds the way she always doubts herself and her own virtues to be "very lovable".
  • Nintendo Hard: He's even harder to win than Kei Hazuki, thanks to his very high standards and the fact that he is your teacher and very well aware of it. Among other things, you cannot obtain his phone number and must wait for him to ask for dates - which for a good half of the game are likely to be restricted to school activities.
  • Noodle Incident: His bartender friend claims to know some sort of juicy gossip from their high school days, but Himuro constantly interrupts him before the heroine can find out what it is.
  • Photographic Memory: He claims he doesn't need music records because if he hears a song once, he can replay it entirely any time he wants in his head.
  • She Is Not My Girlfriend/Insistent Terminology: He stubbornly insists that he's not taking the PC out on dates, it's a social study. He continues to insist this even when he's taking her to an amusement park, to play pool, or to simply drive her around in his car.
  • Shout-Out: During the second year's cultural festival, his band performs a Theme Song from Konami's Genso Suikoden series, "Into a World of Illusions".

  • To Make a Long Story Short: He's prone to making a long speech and then summing it up again in the next line, especially if it's something he's embarrassed about. For example, if you ask what he aspired to do in high school and he mentions acting:

Himuro: I had no problems being up on stage, but... I just couldn't get the audience to understand the way I interpreted my characters...
Heroine: Um... so that means...
Himuro: ...That means I suck at acting! That's all.


Ikkaku Amanohashi

Voiced by: Juurouta Kosugi

The perverted school principal. Thinks he's a lady's man, but no, he's just an annoying old geezer.

  • Berserk Button: Don't call him Oochan ("gramps"; in fact he finds the "-sama" honorific revolting!)!
  • The Cameo: In Girl's Side 2, he appears in the background at the Sky Garden.
  • Crash Into Hello
  • Dirty Old Man
  • Hot for Student: And unlike Himuro, he's not especially shy about it.
  • Lolicon
  • Nintendo Hard: To a point. Like Kei and Himuro, he has high stat requirements more or less across the board, and like Himuro, his being a member of the school administration complicates things and prevents the protagonist from being able to ask him out. Players who get their stats high enough to meet his criteria on the way to trying for Kei or Himuro's endings, however, are likely to find that it's more difficult to get rid of him.

Chiharu Aoki

Voiced by: Showtaro Morikubo

A student from Kirameki Highschool (boy do all roads lead back there!). Meets the protagonist by accident in a misdirected email (how the hell can he confuse the protagonist's email address from that of his parents?).

Jin Tendo

Voiced by: Soichiro Hoshi

A character exclusive to the DS version of the game. He's the delinquent of the game and is part of a gang. Unlike the other members of the gang though, he is very studious. He attends Hanegasaki High School from the second Girl's Side game.


Goro Hanatsubaki

Voiced by: Show Hayami

The owner of several of the shops the protagonist visits when shopping for dating necessities. A fashion designer and advisor, but for some reason he doesn't practice himself what he preaches - he himself has a very weird fashion sense, and is just plain eccentric.

  • Ambiguously Gay: Starts with his fashion statement, then he's also close friends with Ikkaku Amanohashi (sometimes looking at the latter in a certain way).
  • Easier Than Easy: No need to worry about bombs when going after him .

Shiho Arisawa

Voiced by: Yukana

One of four girls who can become friends with the heroine. She's very studious, soft spoken and can be quite stern but is extremely intelligent. She is in love with Sakuya, and if the player is also going for his ending, she can become a rival in love for his affections.

  • The Cameo: She also appears in the second Girl's Side game working at the same floral shop should the player choose to work there.
  • Curtains Match the Window
  • Genius' Sweet Tooth: While she tries to tell you she's not a Picky Eater because she's not a child any more, when pressed, she'll admit she likes desserts because sugar helps her brain recover from studying.
  • Heterosexual Life Partners/Romantic Two-Girl Friendship: Should the player study and work with Shiho a lot. This trope especially applies if the player is going for her ending.
  • Huge Schoolgirl
    • Big Breasts, Big Deal: She's arguably the most buxom rival, but the only comment made on this is the heroine telling her she "has a nice figure and will look good running at her own pace" on Sports Day.
    • Tiny Guy, Huge Girl If she gets together with Sakuya; she's 4 cm (almost 2") taller than him by the end of the third year. 2" may not seem like much, but considering all the other guys are One Head Taller...
    • Measuring Day: In one of her E-mails, Shiho complains she measured herself and she grew... again. She thinks it's about time she stopped.
  • Meganekko
  • Triang Relations: If Shiho becomes your rival, then both the player and Shiho fall into this with Sakuya.


Mizuki Sudou

Voiced by: Ikue Ohtani

One of four girls who can become friends with the heroine. Mizuki is from a rich family and is extremely spoiled. She can be very condescending and speaks a lot of French. She is in love with Shiki, and if the player is also going for his ending, she can become a rival in love for his affections.

  • Culture Clash: Mizuki claims she hates Japanese television as it isn't to her taste, and she thinks the girls in the dramas are too ugly (however, the PC observes that she certainly seems to know a lot about it).
  • Gratuitous French: Justified as she used to live in France and consequently can speak it fluently, and she plans to go to a university in Paris when she graduates.
  • Heterosexual Life Partners/Romantic Two-Girl Friendship: Should the player join the Tennis Club or work at their artwork parameter with Mizuki a lot. This trope especially applies if the player is going for her ending.
  • Schoolgirl Rival: If Mizuki becomes the heroine's rival, she will be this type of rival.
  • Third Person Person
  • Triang Relations: If Mizuki becomes your rival, then both the player and Mizuki fall into this with Shiki.

Natsumi Fujii

Voiced by: Tomoko Kawakami

One of four girls who can become friends with the heroine. Natsumi is definetely the Yoko Asahina of the Girl's Side games. She is very cheerful and is very knowledgable about the latest fashion trends. She also likes to play pranks on Reiichi as he is the Stern Teacher. She is in love with Madoka, and if the player is also going for his ending, she can become a rival in love for his affections.

  • The Cheerleader: Averted. She's in the cheerleading club, but doesn't fit the trope at all.
  • The Fashionista
  • Gamer Chick: She loves playing games. Her CG picture involves the heroine spotting her having a spat with the manager of the Game Center.
  • Genki Girl
  • Heterosexual Life Partners/Romantic Two-Girl Friendship: Should the player raise their fashion sense and style, or attend the Cheerleading club or work part-time at the Fast Food job with Natsumi a lot. This trope especially applies if the player is going for her ending.
  • Triang Relations: If Natsumi becomes your rival, then both the player and Natsumi fall into this with Madoka.

Tamami Konno

Voiced by: Omi Minami

One of four girls who can become friends with the heroine. Tamami is the soft spoken, shy manager of the Basketball club. She looks up to the heroine as a role model. She is in love with Kazuma, and if the player is also going for his ending, she can become a rival in love for his affections.


Tsukushi

Voiced by: Ai Orikasa

Tsukushi is the heroine's younger brother hence why he does not have a surname since he shares the player's surname. He serves the same function as Yoshio Saotome and Takumi Sakaki from the first and second Tokimemo games respectively as the "info man".
