Machines

T-800, Mark 1

Played by: Arnold Schwarzenegger (1984)

This Terminator was sent back in time to kill Sarah Connor before she could give birth to her son John, who will become the leader of the human resistance in the war against SkyNet and the machines.

T-800, Mark 2

Played by: Arnold Schwarzenegger (1991)

This Terminator, reprogrammed by John Connor, is sent back in time to protect himself as a pre-teen.

T-850

Played by: Arnold Schwarzenegger (2003)

This Terminator -- which runs on a different fuel supply than the T-800 -- is sent back in time in Terminator 3 by Kate Brewster, John Connor's future wife to protect John as a young adult.

T-1000

Default form played by: Robert Patrick (1991)

T-X

Hunter Killers

A group of Vehicle like machines, designed to capture and/or kill any humans that survived the nuclear blast. They come in two forms, the HK-Tank and The HK-Aerial.

HK-Tank

The HK-Tank is a ground assault Hunter Killer. It serves as the heavy artillery of the Machines.

  • Arm Cannon: The tank has a laser projectile one on each arm. Both move independently and are powerful enough to disintegrate humans down to the bone.
  • Lack of Empathy: While it's unknown what kind of programming this machine has other than search and destroy. The Tanks seem to have no qualms bulldozing over the skulls of the dead humans. The way it was filmed made it look as though it was merely just clearing the roads of obstacles.

An aerial assault Hunter Killer which serves as a scout for the Machines.

  • Glass Cannon: While more dangerous to outfight than the tanks, The Aerials are vulnerable to surface to air missiles. One hit is enough to take it down.

SkyNet

The artificial intelligence responsible for Judgment Day and the "leader" of the machines in their war on humanity.
