Tropes exhibited by this character include:
  • Badass
  • Berserk Button: Does not like to be reminded that he's older than his teammates. And then there's what happens should he over-exert himself
  • Beware the Nice Ones: Almost punches Kuroki in #4, also shown to be this way when overheated in #5.
  • The Big Guy
  • Cunning Linguist: He is apparently fluent in French (as he can understand Enter perfectly) and English (he can effortlessly read an e-mail written in English). Frequently translates for Enter to the rest of the team.
  • Genius Bruiser
  • The Heart
  • The Kirk
  • MMA Fighter in All of Us: When fighting the Copyroid, Ryuuji applies a cross armbreaker to disable the Metaroid's camera arm (and thus, its copying abilities).
  • Overheating: What happens if he uses his Super Power too much. Which then causes him to go into his...
    • Super-Powered Evil Side: Overheated!Ryūji can curb stomp a Metaroid single handedly. He also has a noticeable sadistic streak and no qualms about attacking his teammates.
    • Also doubles as a Heroic RROD because of the strain on his own body.
    • It's reflected in his fighting style. Normal!Ryūji has a very elegant and technical fighting style. Overheat!Ryūji goes more into strength-based attacks that take advantage of his super power.
  • Robotic Psychopath: Overheated!Ryuji could count, especially since his voice sounded a good bit more robotic than Ryūji's.
  • Super Strength
  • Team Dad: He says that it's his duty because he's older than his teammates
  • Teen Superspy: Averted. He is 28 years old, noticeably older than most recent Rangers who have been in their teens or early 20s.
  • Weapon of Choice: During #8, he was shown using two of each a Sōgan Blade and Ichigan Buster in different battles.

  • Broken Pedestal: For Ryūji, after seemingly stealing a cargo of Enetron from under the Busters' noses.
  • Bunny Ears Lawyer: Hiromu thinks that the "jokester" the Busters recently encountered isn't the same person as the genius engineer Ryūji was acquainted with. Ryūji corrects him, saying that Jin has always been like that.
  • Japanese Beetle Brothers: The Kabutomushi to J's Kuwagatamushi.
  • Large Ham
  • Older Than They Look: Remains the same age as he was 13 years ago due to being in hyperspace, where he did not age.
  • The Smart Guy

Commander Takeshi Kuroki | Live Actor: Hideo Sakaki

A description of the character goes here.

Tropes exhibited by this character include:
  • The Comically Serious
  • Da Chief
  • Good Is Not Nice: #4 has him make it very clear that he has no belief that the people trapped in hyperspace are still alive, and further is entirely willing to risk the lives of or outright sacrifice the Go-Busters if it would give him an advantage against the Vaglass to do so.

The Vaglass

Messiah | Voice Actor: Seiji Sasaki

A description of the character goes here.

Tropes exhibited by this character include:

Enter | Live Actor: Syo Jinnai

A description of the character goes here.

Tropes exhibited by this character include:
  • Beleaguered Assistant: Enter is quite competent in his job, but he has to constantly put up with his master's temper tantrums and some of his genuinely good plans tend to go ignored by Messiah. While loyal to Messiah, Enter has shown annoyance at having to essentially babysit him.
  • Berserk Button: As shown in #9, the man DOES NOT like being tricked.
  • Catch Phrase: "*Insert Gratuitous French Word here*, Go-Busters?" or "Let's whip up some Metavirus... Install."
  • Combat Tentacles
  • Cool Shades
  • The Cracker
  • Creepy Monotone
  • The Dragon
  • Faux Affably Evil: Seems genteel and cultured, but when something's in his way, the gloves come off.
    • Shown in episode #4 when he is just sitting around, eating pizza when they show up. He proceeds to politely offer them some before creating a Metaroid to try and kill them.
  • French Jerk: Sorta. He may not actually be French (it's ambiguous whether he's even human), but with his heavy usage of Gratuitous French and his overall nastiness, he counts as one.
  • For the Evulz: Outright admits that while stealing enough Enetron for Messiah to escape subspace is the primary goal, some attacks are simply to amuse Messiah by causing human suffering. Enter himself seems to really enjoy what he's doing.
  • Genre Savvy: In the opening of #3, he proposes sending several Megazords at once to steal Enetron from multiple locations; however, because Messiah is throwing a temper tantrum (which threatens to collapse portals out of subspace), Enter drops his plan in favor of trying to kill the Go-Busters in a more conventional way.
    • He tries for the same general idea again in episode 7, creating a Metaroid that's specifically designed to gather a massive amount of Enetron, enough to send multiple Megazords at once. Furthermore, he specifically states that this plan is designed to combat Go-Buster-Oh.
  • Image Song: "Je m'appelle Enter."
  • Paper-Thin Disguise: Enter is made of data and can easily change clothes to disguise himself, but maintains his goggles each time.
  • Psycho for Hire: Its quite clear that Enter is having a blast doing the things he does, even if Messiah is the one in ordering him to do them.
  • Verbal Tic: As well as speaking French, he also tends to repeat words three times.
  • Villain Exit Stage Left: In EVERY single episode. The Go-Busters never stood a chance fighting him directly.
  • Villainous Breakdown: In #9, he loses his cool for the first time so far when the Go-Busters outsmart him.

Vaglass Mecha

Averting the best known of Super Sentai tropes, Vaglass always deploys a man-high Metaroid, used to summon the massive Megazords from hyperspace while feeding them with vital data from the field.

Tropes exhibited by this character include:

Metaroids

A description of the character goes here.

Tropes exhibited by this character include:
  • A.I. Is a Crapshoot: Some turn out to be more effective for the Vaglass cause than others. This is referenced by Enter in episode 6.
  • Deadly Doctor: #3 Needleroid, complete with labcoat and syringe.
  • Musical Assassin: Tubaroid and Tubaroid 2 from #13/14
  • Pokémon-Speak: Averted. That's just what the summoning process sounds like.
  • Shapeshifter Baggage: The resulting Metaroid will always be about the size of an average adult human being regardless of the size of the object it was transformed from.
  • Taking You with Me: The Sprayroid in episode 6 has no qualms about the fact the hangar he and the Busters are in exploding would kill him along with them, in fact he seems almost excited about it!
  • Verbal Tic: There are some Metaroids that imitate the sound of the objects that they are made from, like the Densharoid's clacking and Drillroid's whirring.
  • Walking Armory: Danganroid
  • Weapon of Choice: See Megazord entries below.
  • What Measure Is a Mook?: For some reason they possess a higher level of sentience than Megazords.

Megazords

Megazord Alpha

Tropes exhibited by this character include:

Megazord Beta

Tropes exhibited by this character include:

Megazord Gamma

A description of the character goes here.

Tropes exhibited by this character include:
  • Bishonen Line: Has the most humanoid proportions of the three base bodies.
  • Deflector Shields
  • Law of Chromatic Superiority: Has the most red in its base design, and is far stronger than the other two types.
  • Lightning Bruiser
  • Made of Explodium: Averted with CutterZord as a way to indicate just how narrow the victory actually was. Played Straight when it's defeated by Go-Buster-Oh later on.
  • "Wake-Up Call" Boss: The first Gamma to appear severely damaged Go-Buster Ace, successfully stole quite a bit of Enetron, and required Hiromu to take several potentially fatal risks in order to just barely defeat it. And even then it survives, allowing Enter to reactivate it, requiring the first formation of Go-Buster-Oh to finish off for good.
  • Weapon of Choice:

  1. For example, in episode 3, hearing Kamen Rider Double's Trigger Memory (TORIGAA!!) causes him to freeze up
  2. TrainZord
  3. VacuumZord
