Asuka Kazama

You're gonna get hurt!

Jin Kazama's Osaka cousin. Asuka's first reason to enter the tourney in 5 was to take out the person who put her father in the hospital (that would be Feng). Lei Wulong gave her the info, and even though she's unable to find Feng, she just stays in the tournament for "fun". She doesn't win, though manages to make a Rival out of Lili in Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection. In Tekken 6, Asuka finds out that her cousin Jin is trying to take over the world, so she gets ready to kick his ass like any other loving family member would. Seeing as they're part of the Mishimas, that isn't surprising.

Interestingly enough about Asuka, she seems to be able to counter the Devil Gene. In her Tekken 5 ending, Jin's horns, tattoos, and wings all disappear at her touch.

• Gag Boobs: Due to her ending in 5. Jin, having reverted from his Devil Jin persona, hastily awakens, wondering where he is. Unfortunately, he falls face-first into Asuka's breasts, complete with an audible BOING. The two lay there for a sizable amount of time, long enough for a tumbleweed to roll in the distance. Jin ends up being punched into a rock, having no clue of what he just suffered through. This cutscene most likely caused those lobbying for a Kissing Cousins dynamic to Squee.
  • Interestingly enough, she talks to Jin here like she was unaware of their family connection (she wasn't aware of the connection until before Tekken 6).

Feng Wei

... HWOOOAAAAHH!

Feng is the star pupil of the "God Fist" style. However, in process of his show of power, he broke the dojo's rules, is scolded by his master and he kills him. He intends on getting the God Fist scroll, and breaks dojos here and there, and eventually enters the King of Iron Fist tournament. He eventually found the scroll, but it only gives the overview of the ultimate style, which prompts him to re-enter the next tournament.

Tropes associated with Feng Wei:

• Badass in a Nice Suit: Notice how a lot of the badasses wear suits in battle?

• Deceptive Disciple: Although the killing wasn't planned from the beginning. Rather, once it became clear his master was going to be a barricade to his quest to martial perfection, down came the sentence of death, and said sentence's execution.
• Even Kung Fu Arrogancy Has Standards: A subversion, whereas when Asuka accuses him for not treating her with respect, Feng replies that if he didn't fight at full strength, that's disrespect.

Raven

I cannot allow you to interfere.

A Canadian spec-ops agent sent to investigate the Mishima Zaibatsu. Everything about him is shrouded in mystery, except that he knows Ninjitsu for some reason.

Tropes associated with Raven:

• Asian Rune Chant/Hand Seals: He actually tries to teach Yoshimitsu how to do it properly. This is only if the player chooses to intentionally (or not) lose against Raven in Yoshimitsu's Tekken 5 rival battle and discontinue.
• Badass
• Canada, Eh?: Averted. There's no way you would have ever been able to figure that out.
• Cool Shades
• Dark-Skinned Blond
• Death From Above: Aside from the below trope, he actually has an attack called this.
• Dual-Wielding: Although he never uses them, Raven carries two knives with him. In the intro to 5, he makes short work of a Jack-4 this way.

• Expy: Bears a striking resemblance to Blade and Simon Phoenix.

  • His original voice actor, Jack Merluzzi, is best known as the guy who made Zero sound horrible in Mega Man X7 and the guy who made Master Albert into the Magnificent Bastard of the series.

• No Celebrities Were Harmed: He looks suspiciously like Wesley Snipes (specifically, Snipes as Blade).
  • Possibly subverted (depends if he's lying or not) by Word of God, as Harada claims that Raven's design was just to impart the series with a "cool black guy" and any likeness to a celebrity wasn't intended.
• Nothing Personal: He only acts within his mission parameters. When he wins, one of his win poses has him say "It's just business. Don't take it personally."

• Shout-Out: His unlockable costume in 5 looks like a getup you can unlock for Ryu Hayabusa in the Xbox Ninja Gaiden, right down to the color scheme.
  • It also looks like the outfit Blade wore in the comics when he was brainwashed by Silver Eye.
  • His ending in 5 is Raven merely saying "Misson Complete" and then leaving the battlefield with style. This is very similar to the ending of Strider.

Armor King II

A new Masked Luchador taking after the deceased Armor King. His background is shrouded with mystery, but his fighting style was one of quite the brutal Heel. He first appears in the 5th King of Iron Fist tournament, setting his sights on Craig Marduk, and swiftly kicked him in the ass.

He later reappears in the 6th tournament, confronted by both Marduk and King II, whereas this Armor King reveals that he is the younger brother of the original Armor King... and he certainly isn't going to forgive Marduk that easily for killing his brother.

Tropes associated with Armor King II:

• Heel: He got a lot of below-the-belt techniques
  • Heel Is Not Evil: Despite being a Heel and not exactly the nicest person around, Armor King II isn't a total scumbag that he tolerates other people and was even willing to team with Jaycee, who is actually Julia Chang, a friend of King II, with no malice intentions, in TTT2.
• Professional Wrestling: Moreso on Japanese puroresu moves than King II's WWE-based ones.
• The Rival: For King II.
• Spikes of Villainy: He isn't exactly a villain, but is more than willing to rip Marduk a new one.

Emilie "Lili" de Rochefort

Shhh! Please don't tell my father.

Debuting in Dark Resurrection, Lili is the only daughter of a rich tycoon company owner. Has a butler named Sebastian, and while she has the makings of a Spoiled Brat, she's not quite and instead is a graceful Ojou. At one point, she was kidnapped by mafia who tried to get some ransom from her... but they didn't expect her to struggle that hard, so much that she develops her own lust of battle out of that fight. Unfortunately for Lili, her father abhors violence, and she still respects him, but at the same time, she just can't let go of her battle lust. Solution? Make excuses of traveling, then participate in street fights.

Until at one point in a street fighting, she managed to snatch an invitation to the 5th King of Iron Fist Tournament from an opponent she defeated (suspiciously looking like Forrest Law). Learning that it's from her father's rival company the Mishima Zaibatsu, Lili entered to help her father take down the Zaibatsu so there would be no more rivals. That doesn't work so well, after Asuka Kazama whooped her hard, and her father found out her 'hidden activities', resulting her to be grounded. In the eve of the 6th tournament, however, the Rochefort company is in danger of bankruptcy, and for Lili, the only way to save it is to... win the tournament, so she decided to enter again, maybe with her father's reluctant blessing this time. But, then again, that gives her a chance to take revenge on Asuka...

Tropes associated with Lili:

• Alternate Company Equivalent: Being a very wealthy blonde heiress who is a rival of a Japanese Tomboy Legacy Character who is a Distaff Counterpart to the main protagonist, she is one to Karin of Street Fighter Alpha 3.
• Badass Adorable
• Berserk Button: Try not to let slip that you don't think much of her father. It's a quick route to the top of her "needs to be challenged" list.
• Big Fancy House: Holy SHIT. As any Monégasque will tell you, large property in the tiny principality is outrageously expensive, so with her mausoleum sized bedroom (let alone the rest of the mansion), Lili (or rather her papa) is ostensibly loaded.
• Blood Knight: She wants to be one.
• Bratty Teenage Daughter: Though she's definitely gotten better.
• Combat Stilettos
• Cute Bruiser
• Daddy's Girl
• Dance Battler: Not Capoeira, but she uses a lot of ballet moves in her style.

• Foreign Fanservice: She's from Monaco.
  • Monaco: The incredibly expensive, exclusive European principality serves as the perfect homeland for her character as a young heiress and socialite.
• Girly Run: Observable while she's being used in Scenario Campaign.
• Hair of Gold: Despite veering very close to being a Spoiled Brat (at first), she's still a generally good person.
• Hime Cut: She sports one.
• I'm Taking It Home With Me!: In Scenario Campaign, her reaction to Kuma and Mokujin.
• Joshikousei: In her, Xiaoyu, and Asuka's endings in 6.
• Lady of War: In the making.
• Missing Mom: Lili's mother hasn't been seen or even mentioned so far.
• Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Her ending in 5. She takes down Mishima Zaibatsu, but this causes the Rochefort company to go into bankruptcy.
  • As a bit of an aside, whether or not related to her actions directly, her father's company ends up on the ropes anyway by the time Tekken 6 rolls around.
• Not Even Bothering with the Accent: Lili is Monégasque, so she should really speak with a French accent.
  • Averted as of Tag Tournament 2; she now only speaks in French.

• Rebellious Princess: Goes against her father's will to not fight, and all...
• Rich Bitch: Albeit getting better.
  • Some would argue that she's a Spoiled Sweet. After all, she does have her father's best interests at heart...
• Rina Sato: Voice in her appearance in Queen's Gate: Spiral Chaos, as everyone is required to speak Japanese. She did not, however, reprise Lili for Street Fighter X Tekken, replaced by Asami Seto.
• The Rival and Tomboy and Girly Girl: With Cute Bruiser Asuka Kazama in the tomboy role.
• Screw the Rules, I Have Money: Seems to be using this law for a moment, but in Tekken 6, she can't do it anymore.
• She Fu: Lili's fighting style fits this trope to a T. Has stylish balletic moves, with liberal use of flips. And a move where she does an aerial somersault; if she lands on the opponent's head, she does a double snap kick in the air. Take that, Reality!
• She's Got Legs
• Ship Tease: A Foe Yay and Les Yay variant. She seems to be taking her rivalry with Asuka a bit too seriously. Again, the fact that she's (more or less) a female Hwoarang is a main reason that fans like to pair them up.
  • It sometimes goes to full-blown Les Yay in the fandom's eyes. Tekken 6 and Tekken Tag Tournament 2 don't exactly help in this regard, portraying them as heated rivals and good friends all the same.
• Shout-Out: She can be customized to look like Karin and her rivalry with Asuka even mirrors the one with Sakura.
• Statuesque Stunner: Is the tallest female competitor, standing at a height of 5'9".
• Underboobs: Her third outfit in 6.

Sergei Dragunov

...

A Spetsnaz officer working with the Russian government to investigate the Mishima Zaibatsu. He is feared on the battlefield as "The White Angel of Death", which could be a reference to Alfredo Astiz.

Tropes associated with Dragunov:

• Badass
• Covered with Scars: Has two very noticable scars on his face (one through his lips and down his chin, the other across his nose), and also has several all over his torso and arms (including a bullet wound in his left shoulder).
• Eerie Pale-Skinned Brunette: To an extreme degree.
• Hidden Depths: According to Word of God, he enjoys singing outside of battle. The fact that he hums in one of his Tekken 6 win poses could be an indicator of this.
• Icy Blue Eyes: A very pale, almost-white blue.
• Meaningful Name: His name is based on the two Russian rifle designers Sergei Simonov and Evgeny Dragunov.
• The Rival: Of Raven.
• The Stoic
• Tessho Genda: His seiyuu (Guile has betrayed us!).
• Visual Pun: One of the items you can equip him with in both Tekken 5 and 6 is a sniper rifle, to be exact, a dragunov.
• The Voiceless: He literally doesn't make a sound unless he's attacking or being hit (or, in the case of one of his Tekken 6 winning poses, humming).
  • Tekken 6's Scenario Campaign reveals that he is perfectly capable of speech -- he just doesn't do it very often (this was also revealed via Word of God prior to the release of 6 -- the same source also claimed that, outside of battle, he enjoys singing). When he does, it's often short, to-the-point sentences, or single words. The players still don't actually hear him speak, though, as all of the in-level dialogue of Scenario Campaign is text-based.

Jinpachi Mishima

My goal...My Goal Is to destroy all existence!

The former head of the Mishima Zaibatsu, Jinpachi is betrayed by his son, Heihachi, when he takes over his company. He tries to get it back, but Heihachi imprisons him in an underground compound called Hon-Maru. Jinpachi is imprisoned there for years and died. That is, until the Devil Gene resurrects him.

Jinpachi is released when an explosion from Hon-Maru frees him. He regains control of the Mishima Zaibatsu afterwards. However, the devil begins to take over his mind. Because of this, Jinpachi hosts the 5th Tournament to make one of the fighters defeat him and kill him.

Tropes associated with Jinpachi:

• Ambiguously Brown: We know he's Japanese, but he's quite tan.
• Back from the Dead: Resurrected by the Devil Gene.
• Badass Beard and Badass Mustache: And it's just as ridiculous as the rest of his family.

• Big Bad: Not of his own volition though.
• Body Horror: His transformation into his Devil Form.

  • Er...
• SNK Boss: For one, he's a Mishima, so you can already faintly imagine that he's just as broken as his son, grandson, and great-grandson. But that's just the tip of the iceburg. To clarify, he has a move that stuns you for about three seconds and immediately forces you into an upright position, regardless of your current status. Given the series' fabled penchant for being a juggle jamboree, you can surmise that this is not a good thing. He can also phase to close the distance, and the weakest of his attacks takes off a sizable chunk of your health and is comboable. One of his attacks allows him to steal your lifeforce and heal himself. He also loves to charge up and shoot an Unblockable Attack fireball from the mouth on his abdomen. Normally, this isn't too bad, but every once in a while, Jinpachi likes to change things up and fire a second fireball in tandem (you had better keep sidestepping). Even worse; there's a smaller chance that he'll just decide to resort to overkill and fire a volley of fireballs (we're talking about at least five in rapid succession). And if he combines this with the stun trick above, there's nothing you can do. Nothing.
  • As one half of the first set of minibosses in Tekken Tag Tournament 2, he loses some of his abilities, specifically leeching health and stun stop. While he still has the fireballs, he can throw one from above. And he can combo juggles with aerial attacks. Luckily, you can play as him in that game.
• Super-Powered Evil Side
• Tears of Blood: In his ending (and a Downer Ending at that), Jinpachi is saddened that no one could kill him, thus making his efforts in vain. The devil then completely takes over his body and forces him to transform again before presumably flying away to destroy all of existence. Way to go, jerk.
• Voice Changeling: In Tekken 5, he has a normal voice (in normal mode, obviously), but reverts to a dual voice in Devil mode.
  • This doesn't explain why he has a dual voice in Tekken Tag Tournament 2 even though Jinpachi is not in Devil mode.
