{{quote|Played by Joseph Kucan}}

The enigmatic leader of the Brotherhood of Nod, self-proclaimed prophet, and most [[Magnificent Bastard|magnificent of bastards]]. He has led Nod every time they rose against GDI, through the years. Wherever Tiberium goes Nod is never far behind, and Kane calls the displaced and downtrodden to his cause. He is convinced Tiberium herald a new age, one that mankind must embrace, and views GDI’s attempts to control and remove Tiberium as foolishly shortsighted, which leads him into conflict with them time and time again.

After the Soviet Union was defeated in the Second World War, the victorious Allies installed Romanov as the premier. They did so based on his reputation as a man of peace who would curb any Communist aggressions. They were fooled, however; Romanov held a deep bitterness over Russia’s defeat that was matched by his hatred for the Allies that had wrought it. His deception was to enable him to gain the power he needed to exact his revenge on them. With his position secure, he was able to fake a crisis in Russian ally Mexico that would necessitate a military buildup. From there, he would begin his master plan.

Tiberium Series

Kane

Played by Joseph Kucan

The enigmatic leader of the Brotherhood of Nod, self-proclaimed prophet, and most magnificent of bastards.

Though Nod has been defeated many times, and Kane himself declared dead just as many, he always manages to return, despite being vaporized by an Ion Cannon and run through with a jagged piece of metal. Despite their assurances to the world each time that he’s really dead now, GDI leadership often wonders if they will ever truly be rid of this madman…

INCOMING TRANSMISSION*****

“Of course not, Commander. You can’t kill the Messiah.”

Tiberian Dawn

GDI

General Mark Sheppard

Played by Eric Martin

The commander-in-chief of the Global Defense Initiative during the First Tiberium War. Sheppard lead the campaign against Nod, personally giving briefings to his field commander, as well as dealing with politicians at the UN. He was poised to take the fall when GDI was accused of committing war crimes and vanished from public view for a time. It turned out to be a plan to lull Nod into a false sense of security, which allowed a newly-reinvigorated GDI to pursue them to their temple and defeat them.

Commander Carter

Played by Bill Collins

One of GDI’s field commanders, Carter assists and gives briefing to the Commander for a number of missions.

Colonel Morelli

Played by Wendy Bagger

The commander of GDI’s air forces. Morelli lead airstrikes against Nod and accompanied the Commander for the first deployment of the Orca.

Dr. Ignatio Mobius

Played by Richard Smith

Dr. Mobius was GDI’s foremost Tiberium researcher, and was responsible for most of their understanding of the mysterious substance. His expertise would make him a target of Nod more than once.

NOD

Seth

Played by Eric Gooch

Seth was one of Kane’s lieutenants and was responsible for briefing the Brotherhood’s newest commander during the early part of the war. A small and petulant individual, Seth lorded over his charge and harbored secret ambitions of his own, ambitions that would prove to be his undoing.

Greg Burdette

Played by Eric Randall

A WWN reporter, Burdette covered the war between GDI and Nod as the front began making its way further into Europe. He was present when a fight between the two sides broke out in the village of Bialystok, and his reports covered needless carnage and slaughter wrought by GDI troops…or so it seemed.

In reality Burdette, who was a Nod sympathizer, was nowhere near Bialystok, and the image behind him was digitally added. It was an effort by Kane to discredit GDI with these allegations which lead to the UN suspending their finding while an investigation was conducted.

Renegade

GDI

Captain Nick “Havoc” Parker

Voiced by Wally Wingert

A commando during the First Tiberium War, Havoc was part of a GDI operation that uncovered and destroyed Nod’s Project ReGenesis.

General Adam Locke

Voiced by David Lodge

General Locke was one of GDI’s senior officers during the First War. He was Havoc’s commanding officer during that time.

Dr. Sydney Mobius

Voiced by Leigh Allyn Baker

The daughter of Tiberium researcher Dr. Ignatio Mobius, Sydney was also a scientist in the employ of GDI. Her father’s research meant that they were frequently targeted by Nod forces, which led to her meeting Havoc. She later accompanied him on a mission to infiltrate a Nod science facility.

Dead-6

A team of crack commandos and Havoc’s old squadmates. They are sent on covert actions in which GDI needs to maintain plausible deniability. To that end, each of them has been listed as killed in action, hence the name “Dead-6.”

Lt. Adriana Maus

General Locke’s assistant aboard his command ship.

Nod

Sakura Obata

Voiced by Mari Wiess

A former member of the Dead-6, and Havoc’s former lover. She was ambushed by Nod troops while on a mission as presumed killed, but in reality had defected to the Brotherhood.

General Gideon Raveshaw

Voiced by Rodger Bumpass

Raveshaw is the founder and first leader of the Black Hand. He and his followers were charged with maintaining the ideological purity of the Brotherhood of Nod. He was also put in charge of Project ReGenesis.

Dr. Elena Petrova

Voiced by Lori Tritel

Dr. Mobius’ colleague, Petrova defected to Nod at an unknown point. She became the main researcher for Project ReGenesis.

Carlos Mendoza

A mercenary employed by the Black Hand to head off Havoc as he investigates Project ReGenesis.

Tiberian Sun

GDI

Commander Michael McNiel

Played by Michael Biehl

A GDI soldier, McNiel became the main field commander during the Second Tiberium War. Under orders from General Solomon he headed off Nod’s attack on their Pheonix base and led the GDI retaliation. He would eventually make contact with Umagon, one of the Forgotten who would inform him of the Tacitus, a mysterious artifact that could hold the key to understanding Tiberium.

General James Solomon

Played by James Earl Jones

A GDI officer, Solomon had a long and distinguished military career. As the Second Tiberium War began, he served aboard the Philadelphia as GDI’s overall commander. He sends Michael McNiel to head Nod’s initial advance, but then orders him to investigate a strange crash site.

Chandra

Played by Kris Iyer

McNiel’s second-in-command and best friend. He serves as the Kodiak’s copilot, and occasionally accompanies McNiel into hostile territory.

General Paul Cortez

Played by Efrain Figueroa

General Cortez found himself in command of the GDI military when widespeard ion storms cut off contact with the GDI command aboard the Philadelphia. He immediately formed a new task force to recover the Tacitus and find a way to interpret it.

Dr. Gabriella Boudreau

Played by Linnea Pine

Dr. Boudraeu was working with Tratos researching the Tacitus when the Firestorm Crisis started. After the mutant was assassinated, she had to pick up where he left off. She realized that there was one other being that could translate the artifact and convinced General Cortez to steal CABAL from Nod.

Nod

Commander (later General) Anton Slavik

Played by Frank Zagarino

Slavik was one of the few Nod officers still loyal to Kane and set about reforming the Brotherhood. He was eventually betrayed and arrested, charged with giving secrets to the enemy. Other loyalist forces rescued him and he began fighting to bring the various factions together by defeating Hassan, the general who tried to have him executed. As he triumphantly announced his success, Kane made his reappearance in dramatic fashion. Soon after Slavik was made one of Kane’s inner circle. From there he led Nod forces through much of the Second Tiberium War.

Oxanna Kristos

Played by Monika Schnarre

A Nod loyalist, Oxanna went undercover to rescue Anton Slavik from execution at the hands of traitors. She then became his de-facto second-in-command during the Second War.

CABAL

Voiced by Richard Barnes

The Computer Assisted Bio-organic Artificial Life-form was created by Nod using technology gained by studying the Tacitus. Throughout the Nod campaign of the Second War it monitored troop movements and offered analysis on mission objectives.

General Cesar Vega

Played by Francesco Quinn

A Nod officer during the Second War over much of the western hemisphere. Before joining Nod, he was heavily involved in the drug trade.

General Hassan

Played by Adoni Maropis

Following TW1, GDI decided that it would be easier to install a weak leader they controlled as the head of Nod. Hassan was put in with the understanding that he would keep the Brotherhood placated and remove any elements that became too much of a threat. One such element turned out to be Anton Slavik, and Hassan arranged to have him executed…

The Forgotten

A third faction that has emerged in the years since the First Tiberium War, the Forgotten are comprised of Mutants, humans who have been corrupted by Tiberium, to the point that it is actually growing out of their skin. Largely outcast by society, with whom they share a mutual dislike and mistrust, they band together wherever they can. During the Second Tiberium War, they ally with GDI in the hopes of using the Tacitus to create a cure.

Umagon

Played by Christine Steele

A mutant warrior, she approaches GDI in the hopes of gaining their help in breaking her leader out of a Nod prison. This leads to a tentative alliance between the two and she continues to work with Commander McNiel for much of the GDI campaign.

Tratos

Played by Christopher Winfield (Tiberian Sun)/Patrick Bauchau (Firestorm)

The leader of the Forgotten, and one of only two beings who can interpret the Tacitus, the other being CABAL. Tratos is plagued by visions of a coming apocalypse, which leaves him coming off as rather eccentric. Umagon persuades GDI to break him out of a Nod prison, and in return he helps them with their Tiberium research.

Tiberium Wars

GDI

General Jack Granger

Played by Michael Ironside

General Granger was stationed at GDI’s InOps at the start of the Third Tiberium War, and as such survived the attack that annihilated most of the GDI leadership. He then took command of GDI forces, sending a young field commander to repel the Nod invasion.

Lt. Sandra Telfair

Played by Grace Park

Lt. Telfair was a GDI officer serving at their command post in Washington, D.C. when TW3 started.

Lt. Kirce James

Played by Jennifer Morrison

A GDI intelligence officer and analyst, Lt. James was responsible for keeping GDI’s commanders with her extensive knowledge of Nod tactics and equipment.

Redmond Boyle

Played by Billy Dee Williams

The former Director of the Treasury who was the sole GDI official left after the destruction of the Philadelphia and therefore became GDI’s director in the aftermath. His ambition and desire to solidify his power led to a number of questionable decisions, which caused him to lock horns with General Granger repeatedly.

Nod

Kilian Qatar

Played by Tricia Helfer

One of Kane's followers at the start of TW3. She commanded considerable power and took command when it appeared Kane had been lost at Sarajevo.

  • Enemy Mine: Arranges a truce with GDI when the Scrin invade.
  • Frame-Up: It begins to appear she's a traitor, but it turns out the real traitor is Alexa Kovacs, who's manipulating things behind the scenes.
  • You Are in Command Now: After the Nod Temple at Sarajevo is destroyed with Kane seemingly inside it.
  • Welcome Back, Traitor: When Nod loyalists storm her base and bring her to Kane, he has her executed.
Ajay

Played by Josh Holloway

Alexa Kovacs

Played by Natasha Henstridge

Kovacs was an Abbess in the Brotherhood, one of its most devoted members, and was given the task of watching over LEGION before it was awakened. She then served personally under Kane as he began the Third War. Despite this, she was deeply mistrustful of LEGION, convinced it was out to get her.

LEGION

An A.I. created by Kane as a successor to CABAL, LEGION was created in the aftermath of the Firestorm Crisis as part of Kane’s plan to reunify the Brotherhood. Kane used it in a number of operations to bring various Nod factions under his control and then was deactivated for considerable upgrades. Kane was pleased with his new creation, but Alexa Kovacs was inherently suspicious of the A.I.

Brother Marcion

Played by Carl Lumby

Leader of the Black Hand following TW2, Marcion was chosen by Kane to be his figurehead leader until it was time to reveal himself to the world.

Tiberian Twilight

Commander Parker

A GDI officer severely injured in action, Parker received revolutionary new optical implants courtesy of Kane, through his newly forged alliance with GDI. This allowed the commander to interface directly with his combat control systems, along with a number of other things, many of which he was not even aware of. His work was impressive enough that he was eventually given a choice to either remain with GDI or to join Kane as his personal commander.

Lillian Parker

Played by Emily Hampshire

The wife of Commander Parker, she supported him in the time after he lost his eyesight in the line of duty, and while he was recovering from the surgery that gave him his implants.

GDI

Colonel Louise James

Played by Iona Morris

Col. James is Parker’s CO. She is a career military officer whose family goes all the way back to TW 1. She is deeply mistrustful of Nod, and is convinced that the peace they offer is a ploy to lure them into some sinister scheme.

  • It's Personal: Her family were killed by the Scrin, and she holds Nod responsible for drawing them to Earth.
  • Knight Templar: Is convinced she's saving GDI from itself.
  • Military Brat: Her family has all been military. Her father fought in TW1.
  • The Millstone: Her actions put considerable strain on relations between Nod and GDI, and eventually she attempts a coup of the GDI leadership.
  • Manipulative Bitch: Keeps the fact that Lillian's death was the result of friendly fire from Parker to keep his anger focused on Nod.
  • Unfriendly Fire: She's the one who shoots Parker.
General Wesley Riggs

Played by Tim De Zarn

A high ranking GDI officer and Col. James’ superior. He ordered her and Parker to escort a Nod VIP to the commissioning of the Tiberium Control Network who turned out to be none other than Kane himself.

  • Four-Star Badass: Has fought in two of the Tiberium Wars and leads a team of marines to capture James and Parker after their coup attempt.
  • Old Soldier
Director Evelyn Rios

Played by Natacha Roi

Successor to Redmond Boyle as Director of the Global Defense Initiative, though nowhere near as corrupt as he was. She is a strong advocate of the GDI/Nod alliance and is committed to making a lasting peace.

Our Presidents Are Different: She seems to be President Personable while in the public eye, but seems more of the scheming type behind closed doors.

Nod

Gideon

Played by Christopher Wolfe

When Kane proposed his alliance to GDI, there were many in the Brotherhood who felt he had betrayed their ideals. This began a separatist movement of which Gideon eventually emerged as the leader. He now wages a campaign of terror against both GDI and Nod loyalists.

Sister Chavra

Played by Makinna Ridgway

Chavra was one of Kane’s followers during the Ascension War. She performed important actions on his behalf.

  • Action Girl: She does many of the missions Parker does if he doesn't defect.

Played by Arthur Roberts

A German military officer, Von Esling oversaw operations during the Second World War against the Soviet Union.

  • Heroic BSOD: After Greece is invaded
  • It's Personal
  • Pay Evil Unto Evil: When Allied forces find Stalin buried in some rubble, Stavros stuffs a rag in his mouth then moves a stone over his face so no one can see him.
Tanya Adams

Played by Lynne Litteer (Red Alert)/ Kari Wuhrer (Red Alert 2) / Jenny McCarthy (Red Alert 3)

When Professor Albert Einstein was captured by Soviet forces, General Von Esling called for a specialist. Played by Gene Dynarski

Without Nazi Germany in his way, Stalin finds that Europe is ripe for the picking and begins a campaign to claim the continent for the Soviet Union. Nadia Zelenkov

Played by Andrea Robinson

The head of the NKVD during the Second World War, Nadia was responsible for Soviet intelligence and policing the military. She also provided special, personal services for Comrade Stalin. There is more to her than she lets on; she is actually a member of the Brotherhood of Nod.

General Radik Gradenko

Played by Alan Terry

Gradenko was the Director of the Russian Secret Police and was overseeing the development of a verve gas to be deployed on the war front. He seems to be of mediocre ability in terms of tactics and administrative ability, but is shown to have a close friendship with Stalin, which is probably how he got and maintains his position.

  • Friendship Moment: One cutscene shows him drinking with Stalin and the two of them acting really chummy. Then it's subverted when it turns out Stalin just want him to sign the death warrants of men he's declared traitors.
  • General Failure
  • You Have Failed Me...: Nadia poisons him for his incompetence.
General Georgi Kukov

Played by Craig Kavanah

Kukov was a Soviet military officer as the Second World War got under way. He was deployed along the German border but eventually became Commander of the Red Army. While a capable commander, he often seemed to have other plans on the side.

  • Mission Control
  • The Starscream: Not as outstanding as some examples, but he does have hints of this.
  • You Have Failed Me...: After an attempt to capture the Chronosphere fails, Nadia points out that it was a piece of intelligence he missed that resulted in the loss. Stalin promptly strangles him.

Red Alert 2

Allies

General Ben Carville

Played by Barry Corbin

When the Soviet Union invaded the United States, General Carville was the senior officer in command of the military. President Michael Dugan

Played by Ray Wise

Dugan was the President of the United States when the Soviets invaded. He immediately called Mosoc in an attempt to resolve the situation before it got out of control, but the Soviet premiere was unwilling to back down. Left with no other choice, he ordered General Carville to launch a nuclear strike, but the launch failed to due to Soviet sabotage. He, along with Carville, directed the war and gave orders to their last commander. Naturally, he became a very high priority target, and as such began moving around the country in an effort to elude the Soviets.

Lt. Eva Lee

Played by Athena Massey

Eva Lee, commonly referred to as Lt. Eva, was an American intelligence officer when the Soviet Union invaded the United States. She was assigned to the field commander that was tasked with repelling the invasion. Throughout the war she provided briefings and updated intelligence.

Tanya: That...wasn't supposed to happen...

Soviets

Premier Alexander Romanov

Played by Nicholas Worth

After the Soviet Union was defeated in the Second World War, the victorious Allies installed Romanov as the premier. They did so based on his reputation as a man of peace who would curb any Communist aggressions. They were fooled, however; Romanov held a deep bitterness over Russia’s defeat that was matched by his hatred for the Allies that had wrought it. His deception was to enable him to gain the power he needed to exact his revenge on them. With his position secure, he was able to fake a crisis in Russian ally Mexico that would necessitate a military buildup. From there, he would begin his master plan.

Yuri

Played by Udo Kier

Yuri has the ability to influence the minds of those around him, something he uses to great effect. He was the one who made possible the Soviet invasion by disabling the American nuclear sites. Though he is one of Romanov’s top advisors, there are indications he is influencing things more than he should be.
