red | Actor: Yasuhisa Furuhara
* Anime Hair
* Beauty Mark: A quite noticeable one under his right eye.
* Boring Invincible Hero: Averted in GP 8 as an Aesop. While helping Speedor recover from a bad rust, Sosuke kept believing that a miracle will happen, since they're the heroes; nothing happened. In the end, he decided to make miracles happen, rather than waiting for them.
* Catch Phrase: "Mach ______" (most frequently "Mach Speed")
* Comedic Underwear Exposure: Poor guy goes through this a lot, the most notable time being in GP15.
* Cool Sword: Road Saber
** Heroes Prefer Swords
* Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass
* Disney Death: In GP 35-36.
* Dub Name Change: "Maha" in the Korean dub.
Line 19:
* Friend to All Children
* The Hero
* Hot -Blooded
* Idiot Hero
* Law of Chromatic Superiority
* The McCoy
* Mr. Fanservice: Oddly enough. Throughout the season he appears in various states of undress, most of them Played for Laughs given the nature of the show.
* Red Oni, Blue Oni: The red to Hiroto's blue. Ditto with Takeru/ShinkenRed in Shinkenger vs. Go-onger.
* Serious Business: Though not to the extent of some other Rangers, since he does it mainly as a parody of 60s' Japanese daytime dramas.
* Ship Tease: An early episode hinted that he might have romantic interest in Saki when he became worried about her spending time with a man outside the group (who, it turns out, she was asking for advice on how to defeat the Monster of the Week). He eventually gets heavy BST with Miu.
* Signature Move: Saber Straight
* Stock Super Powers: During the events of both Go-onger team-up movies, Sosuke uses a power that derives from the opposing team.
Line 34:
* Wink Ding: Does this in Samurai Sentai Shinkenger VS Go-Onger right after introducing himself to the Shinkengers.

blue | Actor: Shinwa Kataoka
* Beware the Nice Ones: Ren may be sweet but is not to be trifled with, as seen during GP 25 when he defends a Gaiark that he had believed for years was a sacred family statue, and in GP 35-36 following Sosuke's Disney Death
* BFG: Garage Launcher
Line 40:
* Catch Phrase: "Just Correct"
* Genius Bruiser
* Hey, ItsIt's That Guy!: The actor is known in Japan as the face of the Pop-Up Pirate board game.
* Ki Attacks: On On Dan, during the events of Go-onger vs. Gekiranger.
* Missing Mom: GP 25 reveals that Ren's mother was terminally ill and died when he was a very young child.
Line 46:
* The Smart Guy
* The Spock
* Tall, Dark and Handsome
* Team Chef
* Team Mom: His teammates even call him "Mother".
Line 52:
* Yamato Nadeshiko

gold | Actor: Rina Aizawa
* Catch Phrase: "Smile Smile!"
* The Chick
Line 66:
* The Pollyanna
* Shorttank
* Sibling Yin -Yang: In GP 34, with her sister, who turns out to be the polar opposite of Saki.
* Signature Move: Bullet Crash
* The Smurfette Principle: Up until GP 17.
Line 72:
* Tomboy and Girly Girl: Tomboy to Miu's Girly Girl.

green | Actor: Masahiro Usui
* An Axe to Grind: Bridge Axe
* Butt Monkey
Line 82:
* Keet
* Ki Attacks: Baru Baru Dan, during the events of Go-onger vs. Gekiranger.
* Kid Appeal Character
* Sensitive Guy and Manly Man: Sensitive Guy to Gunpei's Manly Man.
* Ship Tease: It's occasionally hinted that Hanto has a crush on Kegareshia (in GP 14 he falls for her while she is disguised as "Rena", and in other episodes he seems to find her attractive even in her usual form.) Some fans also interpret his relationship with Gunpei this way.
* Signature Move: Axe Touring
* Wholesome Crossdresser: In at least two episodes. Later, in GP 47 Gunpei wants Hanto to dress as a girl and pose for fake wedding photos to deceive Gunpei's mother, despite the presence of two actual women on the team.
* Why Do You Keep Changing Jobs?

black | Actor: Kenji Ebisawa
* Badass Longcoat: Subverted. Donning a trenchcoat led him to be mistaken for a drug dealer.
* Butt Monkey: Eventually took the role from out of Hanto's hands.
* By the -The-Book Cop
* Cloudcuckoolander: Somewhere down the road, a few braincells dropped dead. By Shinkenger vs. Go-onger, any sanity he might have left was apparently on vacation.
* Dub Name Change: "Alex" in the Korean dub.
* Fan Nickname: "Forehead", thanks to a rather ]] in the ending sequence.
* Handguns: Cowl Laser
* Jumped At the Call: Desperate to become a Go-onger to the point of stealing the Engine Casts. It's only when he agrees to hand them back that Bomper decides Gunpei has a strong sense of justice, and allows him and Hanto to become Go-on Black and Green.
Line 108:
* Terrible Artist: He is terrible at drawing. In GP 16, we see his drawing of a penguin, which looks like anything but.

goldenrod | Actor: Hidenori Tokuyama
* The Ace: One episode has a bunch of Hiroto's groupies saying he could master anything, and I mean anything, if he wasn't devoting his time to fighting Gaiark. And you get the feeling they're right.
* Aloof Ally
* Big Brother Instinct
Line 115:
* Deadpan Snarker
* Dub Name Change: "Hiro" in the Korean dub.
* EverythingsEverything's Better Withwith Chickens: Toriptor
* Genius Bruiser
* Genre Savvy
* Hey, ItsIt's That Guy!: Hiroto's actor, Hidenori Tokuyama, had previously played Sou Yaguruma/Kamen Rider TheBee/Kamen Rider Kick Hopper in Kamen Rider Kabuto.
* I Work Alone: Initially. He later warms up to the rest of the team, but he and Miu live separately from the Go-ongers.
* Insufferable Genius
* Jerk Withwith a Heart of Gold
* Knife Nut: Rocket Dagger
* Red Oni, Blue Oni: The blue to Sosuke's red.
* The Rival: To Sosuke.
* Signature Move: Burning Dagger
* Sixth Ranger
* The Stoic
** But Not So Stoic if Miu is in danger.
* Spot Light Spotlight-Stealing Squad: He and Miu got a lot of screentime for just two people. Justified because the Wings function as a separate unit from the Go-ongers
* Tall, Dark and Snarky
* Team Dad
* Tsundere
* Why Did It Have To Be Ghosts: Foreshadowed in the Urameshimedes episode, and confirmed as canon down the line.

Silver | Actor: Yumi Sugimoto
* All Girls Want Bad Boys: While Sosuke is brainwashed in the Straw Banki episode, he begins acting like a gangster/Yakuza and offers Miu a stolen ring, which makes her happy. Later, after he has returned to normal, she admits that she preferred him brainwashed.
* Aloof Ally: At first, but she warms up to the Go-ongers much faster than Hiroto does
* Big Brother Worship
* BST: With Sosuke.
* The Ditz
* Dub Name Change: "Miwoo" in the Korean dub.
* Image Song: Dream Wings
* Knife Nut: Rocket Dagger
* NoblewomansNoblewoman's Laugh
* She's Got Legs: And complete with really short shorts to show them off.
* Ship Tease: With Sosuke.
* Signature Move: Freezing Dagger

* Sleep Mode Size: Engine Casts.
* Soul Jar: Engine Souls.
