Princess Arete
- The Reception and the Adaptation of Diana Coles' The Clever Princess in Japan
- Goodreads entry
- Blu-Ray European release
Prospects
(Avoid People Sit in Chairs and Stock Phrases.)
- Pseudo-Romance: Elements of romance used for plot convenience and Fan Service, without the care of establishing a relationship. Very common in Anime, especially in the Harem Genre. Contrast Romantic Plot Tumor. Compare to Token Romance and Relationship Writing Fumble.
Review Ideas
- Tokyo School Life (convert notes into Headscratchers)
- The Woman in White (3/4 of this book is a masterpiece of fiction) (Sharp and hilarious humor, gripping tension and mystery, real characters, twist to some aspects of society, last part turned into a monotonous "interview", "Revenge Whodunit", almost like a "Dateline" episode)
- Blue Is the Warmest Color (Technical gem with ugly stains) (Unfortunate Implications, overly long and unrealistic sex scenes, questions arise (was there ever true love between Adèle and Emma?), dissect flaws in relationship (see IMDb (MovieChat) discussion boards, arguments for and against Emma, analyzing Adèle's character), did the audience miss the point of the movie?, is it worth watching?
- All That Jazz
- Rebecca
- Star Wars: The Force Awakens (first impression: way awesome, but too inspired by TV, kinda rushed)
- Podcast review by Digibro and TheDavoo

- The Great Gatsby (2013 film)
- Ashens and the Quest for the Game Child

Endless Jess' pet peeves in reviews (From Pro Crastinators Podcast Ep 7)
From Haroohee
- Call Back:
- "(mundane activity) IS CONSUMING MY WHOLE LIFE! (Subverted for laughs in Ep. 7)
- (Ep. 9, from Ep. 2) "The door's unlocked!"
- Ho Yay: Kyon and Koizumi.
- Running Gag:
- In Ep. 1, Haruhi repeating "Fuck!" in her head.
- Haruhi misinterpreting Kyon's sarcastic suggestions, no matter how sardonic he gets, and the length in which he does it, to the point of it being an Overly Long Gag.
- Quotes
BG Complainer: Hey, uh, getting a little fandubby there! |
Kyon: OAH! Uh, holy shit, I just had a nightmare where we're pre-existing characters being parodied in an Internet video! Ahh, fuck! |
- WMG
- Were the giant space cricket's words to Kyon meant to symbolize Internet parodies? (Ep. 8)
- In Ep. 10, according to the creator (as Kyon), it it, but people apparently didn't get it, and he didn't expect them to.
- Who murdered the host? - According to the events in Ep. 9 (background screams), the murder was neither a prank, nor the butler's doing, nor an accident by Kyon and Koizumi (as it didn't happen: they were eating when the murder happened).
- The suspect couldn't have been the guy on the table no one knows anything about.
- In Ep. 10, Kyon thinks the whole situation is "a bunch of phoney baloney horse shit" and that Koizumi is in on it. When Koizumi confirms that the murder didn't really happen:
- Kyon: "Thank you, please drive around Window I-so-fucking-called-it!"
- It turns out the host never really died, and he laid on the floor trying really hard not to fart (so as to not give himself away). Koizumi set the entire thing up to pander to Haruhi's "natural attraction to the obscure" (It was not a prank, more of a hoax). But what about the screams, the knife wound and the butler's confirmation of his death?
- The screams must have been faked, planned in advance.
- The butler did just slap him around in hatred.
- The knife wound is explained in the original series (it struck a notebook inside the shirt pocket).
- Were the people at Koizumi's house really his relatives? - Kyon wondered so himself In-Universe.
- Were the giant space cricket's words to Kyon meant to symbolize Internet parodies? (Ep. 8)
From CaptainSparklez
(From CaptainSparklez's playthrough of Minecraft Story Mode)
- Running Gag: (Ep 4 Part 2) "Just look at it. Look at it!"
- "Very astute observation."
- "Rueben, mah man!"
- Funny Moment: "Well I'm the king of Boom Town, I'll have you know, please bow before me."
- CapSpark getting fed up with Olivia, when she is not repairing the slime contraption and just talking about losing hope with the whole situation:
(mimes talking mouth with his hand, he then makes funny faces and mimics the mouth with his two hands in a shrugged position. He then stops and, with a Kermit strained voice:) Just do the thing! Stop! ...Shut up! Make the thing work! ..So whiny! |
- He then ends it with Sarcastic Clapping.
Olivia: We should be careful. This place could be booby-trapped. |
From fault
Rune Zhevitz
Appearance: fault milestone one
A heir of the Zhevitz family. Infamous among the town, even after her death.
- Chaotic Evil: Type 4
- Child Prodigy: She came up with so many good concepts for Zhevitz Enterprise that they hired her as an intern consultant. Rudo thinks she helped the company to hurt his feelings, since he's not as imaginative as her, and since he saw what she was capable of doing.
- Complete Monster
- Creepy Child: At a young age, she said things no child should ever think of, like finding solace in the murder of animals and admiring death.
- Cute and Psycho: Slasher Smile, Creepy Monotone, you name it.
- Enfant Terrible
- Emotionless Girl
- Driven to Suicide: Rune's body was discovered in a cargo ship, with lots of coloured Mana in her body. Since she knew that going outside the Outer Pole was lethal, Rudo concluded that she took her own life... to make her family suffer.
- Never My Fault: She blamed her rampage on Markous, saying he "started it" with a comment.
- Posthumous Character: Came Back from the Dead, resurrected inside a Mana-powered automaton (Sara) by her dying father as a Replacement Goldfish.

Stuff to Format
Examples
- Sequelitis: Psycho-Pass 2 turned a great sci-fi concept into a mockery of itself, with inappropriate shocking scenes for the sake of shock value, a total absence of logical sense in some important scenes and a plot that borders on Recycled Script. (Recap, Deja Vu, Unfortunate Implications, The Scrappy, Second Rate Villain, Headscratchers)
- Author Existence Failure: Prince planned on writing his memoir a month before his death, according to TMZ. He finished around 50 pages.
- The only problem I have with Post-Credits is the main character's reveal of being the author's self-insert. Not the fact that it happens, as it's a clever twist done right, but it's more that his contemplations as an author bog down the story, in a moment where the game's world is crumbling down. It's a nice insight into creative writing, but it detracted from my enjoyment of the story.
