In Code Total Drama Reality, most of the characters tropes in Total Drama and Code Lyoko are still applied, so please refrain from putting the same character tropes here unless the existing trope is handled differently in the story.

Aelita Stones/Schaeffer

• An Ice Person: Can use her Creativity to freeze opponents.
• Bad Dreams: Usually foreshadows a plot development.
• Badass Princess/Lady of War: She's upped a few levels even after being out of Lyoko for two years.
• Frickin' Laser Beams: Her new technique Plasma Beam.
• The Hero
  • The Mentor: Acts as the new group's guide with her knowledge of XANA and Lyoko, and no one has any qualms of her being the leader.

• Badass Cape: With the picture of a bat.
• Barrier Warrior: Can twirl her scythe to creat a blue barrier.
• Cast from Hit Points: Her flying ability, stat restoration, and "Shadow Veil" all cost a good amount of life points.
• Character Development: Reverts back to her more likable persona from previous seasons and seriously starts to question her relationship with Duncan (eventually breaking up with him) and come to better terms with Trent, Heather, and Courtney.
• Color Coded for Your Convenience: Each of her spells has a specifically-colored Battle Aura (red=fire, air=green, etc.).
• Combo-Platter Powers: Though it has limits. See Cast from Hit Points.

• Dark Is Not Evil: For someone who sure likes to wear pink all the time, Geoff's Lyoko form wears mostly black and brown.
• Dual-Wielding
• The Lancer: With shades of The Big Guy.
• Layman's Terms: Needs them to understand the complicated computer stuff.
• Rings of Death: His chakrams.
  • An Axe to Grind: Which can combine into an axe.
• Shock and Awe

DJ

• Bare-Fisted Monk
• Barrier Warrior
• The Big Guy: Though mostly in the literal sense.
• Brought Down to Normal
• Bruiser with a Soft Center
• Living Statue: He can turn into a golem, in which he can use his full power.
• Martial Pacifist
• Mighty Glacier: His golem mode.
• Took a Level in Badass: While it applies to all of the other new Lyoko Warriors, it's easier to see the difference from the Fragile Flower he was on the show to this version, where he actually has some self-confidence.

Bridgette

• Action Girl
  • Action Girlfriend: Especially during the time Geoff was out of commission for Lyoko duty.
• Bare Your Midriff: Her Lyoko form.
• Battle Couple: With Geoff.
• Berserk Button/Beware the Nice Ones: See Violently Protective Girlfriend.
• Chest Insignia: Of a dolphin.
• The Chick/The Heart: Moreso since she's the nicest member of the team along with Aelita and is usually the one to try to diffuse tension.
• Combat Stilettos
• Cool Swords: Her board swords.
• Dual-Wielding
  • Bifurcated Weapon: More like a Bifurcated Surfboard, though she can use the surfboard to crash into enemies as well.
• Hot Chick With Swords
• Jack of All Trades: She's the only Lyoko character to have her own mode of transportation from the start and she's good at swordplay, agility (though Heather is better), and her water attacks are unique to herself (though Gwen and Trent have a more diverse Elemental Magic range).
• Making a Splash
• Power Tattoo/Power Glows: The wave tattoos on her arms glow when she activates her energy waves.
• Violently Protective Girlfriend: If Geoff should ever get hurt, any monster responsible won't live to regret it.

Leshawna

• Character Development: Whil still as aggressive as usual, she's more insightful this time around to make up for some derailment back in the original show.

Cody

• Action Duo: With Gwen during the "Deal With the Devil" arc, though he's still hoping they'll upgrade to Battle Couple.

• Dual-Wielding
• Guns Akimbo
  • Swiss Army Weapon: It also has blades attached.
• Jumped At the Call: Joined at the "XANA's Nightmares" arc, after he saw Gwen get stabbed by XANA's polymorphic clone.
• Mission Control: After being Brought Down to Normal.
• The Seventh Ranger: The first one.
• Sharp-Dressed Man: Lyoko form; Sierra was very pleased.
• The Smart Guy
• Time Master: Can stop time for thirteen seconds.
• Weak but Skilled: Good with computers, and pretty gutsy and useful due to his wits and on occasion his Time Master powers. Also see Beware the Nice Ones above.

Heather

• Action Girl
• Anti-Hero: Type 3-->Type 2
• BST: As expected, with Alejandro.
• Defrosting Ice Queen: Really starts to warm up to Gwen, though she'd never admit it.
• Fragile Speedster
• Good Is Not Nice: Well, at least she's on their side!
• Grand Theft Me: By Shadow, and boy was she pissed.
• Hidden Weapons: Can summon an arsenal of shurikens and knives.
• Invisibility
• The Lancer
• McNinja
• Peek-a-Bangs: Lyoko mode.
• Refusal of the Call: Initially, before Shadow's antics convince her otherwise.

Courtney

• Anti-Hero: Type 4-->Type 2.
• Badass Princess
• Brought Down to Normal
• Cast from Hit Points: She can boost the stats and life points of others at the expense of hers...
  • Life Drain: ...But she can also gain them back by draining from her enemies.
• Combat Medic: Not exactly what everyone was expecting.
• Defrosting Ice Queen: Is gradually getting over her animosity towards Duncan and Gwen.
• Hair Decorations: A headband in Lyoko form, with a pink ruby as well.
• Everything's Sparkly with Jewelry: The headband mentioned above, as well as diamond earrings.
• Highly-Visible Ninja
• Hypocritical Humor: "But I don't know how to fight!" Says you.
• Laser-Guided Amnesia
• Refusal of the Call: At first along with Heather.
• "Well Done, Daughter" Girl: Part of what drove Courtney to make Duncan meet her standards was so that her parents would come to approve of him.
• White Mage

Duncan

• Anguished Declaration of Love: More like Anguished Declaration Of "Can't We Just Stop the Soap Opera Crap and Get Back Together!" Neither him nor Courtney remember it though.
• Anti-Hero: Type 3.
• Aww, Look! He Really Does Love Her: He actually never gave up his feelings for Courtney, but was pushed to pull some questionable moves (i.e. the kiss with Gwen) when Courtney's controlling personality became too much for him. The BST was resolved by "Armageddon Part 2," but then both he and Courtney get hit by Nephilim's Laser-Guided Amnesia attack. See Last Request below.
• Berserk Button: Calling him a punk or a Three Days Grace reject. Mentioning Alejandro/Courtney really gets him going.
• The Berserker: Naturally.
• The Big Guy
• Brought Down to Normal

• Expository Hairstyle Change: Shaved his mohawk after becoming a Lyoko Warrior (which is why he doesn't remember shaving it off when hit by Nephilim's Laser-Guided Amnesia).

• Laser-Guided Amnesia
• Last Request: He's not dying, but it still counts knowing that it's going to be hard for him and Courtney to get back the time they had on the Lyoko team.
• Playing with Fire: Green fire, no less.
• Power Dyes Your Hair: His mohawk, (even after he gets rid of it), is jet black in Lyoko.
• Shout-Out: His Berserker Mode is an obvious one to Ghost Rider, and the author admits it as such.
• Super Mode: Berserker Mode, activated when he gets angry.
• The Worf Effect: He gets beaten by Cody again, this time in wrestling.

Trent

• Barrier Warrior
• Chainsaw Good: His Lyoko guitar can even whip out one of these.
• Character Development: Goes back to his kinder and well, controlled persona from season 1.
• The Chick: A rare male version.

• Badass Longcoat: Lyoko form; possibly subverted in that several people (including himself) comment that he looks like something out of The Matrix.
• Body Snatcher: Can possess XANA's monsters.
• Casual Danger Dialogue: Wouldn't be Noah without it.
• Cast from Hit Points: Changing weapons.
• Graceful Loser: He is pretty upset that Shadow hijacked his multi-agent program and nearly destroyed Lyoko, he lets it slide after a healthy dose of Heroic Self-Deprecation.
• Intangible Man
• Knight in Sour Armor: His inner monologue at the end of chapter 32 says it all.
• Mega Manning: He can transform his hands into any kind of weapon he imagines.
• The Smart Guy: Obviously, but it's taken to another level here, where he showcases his technological intelligence a lot more.
• Playful Hacker: Though Gwen fears that he'll become either a Mad Scientist or The Cracker since he accidentally caused city-wide blackouts in B.C. and New York when he was younger.
• Weak but Skilled: He's no stronger than he was in the original series, but good use of possession and Mega Manning, as well as his invaluable intelligence, makes him a good addition to the team.

Izzy

• Action Girl
• All Animals Are Dogs: She acts like one, though Noah doesn't find it all that odd.
• Animal Motifs: The fox.
• Arrows on Fire
• The Big Girl: All the more apparent when she transforms into a rhino or a T-Rex.
• Chef of Iron: Turns out Izzy knows how to bake a mean fruit cake.
• Does Not Like Shoes
• Jumped At the Call
• Obfuscating Stupidity: She actually gets her situation as a Lyoko Warrior a lot better than she lets on.
• Official Couple: She's back with Owen again.
• The Pollyanna
• Pointy Ears: Lyoko form.
• Voluntary Shapeshifter: Though she can't transform into make-believe creatures.

Seraphim

• A.I. Is a Crapshoot: Utterly averted.
• The Ace

• Big Damn Heroes: He even lampshades himself as being somewhat of a Deus Ex Machina.

• Evil Brit: His avatar has a slight British accent.
• He Who Must Not Be Seen: Averted, with a regularly-appearing AI that he created for himself.

• The Voiceless: Averted again, and used dangerously well to his advantage.

Shadow

• Evil Knockoff: In an interesting variation, he's one to the regular William and Brainwashed and Crazy William due to sheer lowness and cunning.

• Nice Job Fixing It, Villain: His Grand Theft Me attempt on Heather not only fails, but motivates both Heather and Courtney to take up their new duty as Lyoko Warriors.
• One-Winged Angel: A pretty terrifying one at that. Especially after he defects from XANA.
• Took a Level in Badass/Took a Level in Jerkass: Notice a familiar pattern? Pretty hard to believe this used to be that Ralph Wiggum clone.
• The Virus: To Heather.

Ryder

• The Brute
• Evil Knockoff: To Ulrich.
• Hot-Blooded
• Knife Nut: Carries a lot of knives with him, though like Ulrich, he often uses a katana.
• Leeroy Jenkins
• Peek-a-Bangs
• Red Eyes, Take Warning: Especially if they have an Eye of XANA on them.
• Red Oni, Blue Oni: The Red to Yuki's blue.
• Shock and Awe
• Technicolor Fire: His attacks use red lightning.

Yuki

Sora

• Affably Evil: So very much. It mostly seems like he's more interested in belittling his enemies rather than battling them.

• Bishonen: Is assumed as such.

• Cool Helmet: An eagle helmet; it can even shoot lasers.
• Evil Counterpart: Kind of stressing on the "evil" part, but he is rather similar to Noah (particularly first season Noah).
• Evil Knockoff/Opposite Gender Clone: To Heather, though the former's subverted in that he's Affably Evil while Heather was a Manipulative Bitch.
• Kid Appeal Character: A rare villainous version.
• Meaningful Name: Sora means sky.
• Name's the Same: Noah even points out the Kingdom Hearts connection.
• Punch Clock Villain: He really only fights the Lyoko gang because it's his job.
• Terms of Endangerment: Calls Heather "Mom", which ticks her off to no end.

Jinx

• Black Magician Girl
• Dark Action Girl
• The Dark Chick
• Evil Knockoff: To Gwen.
• Mini-Dress of Power: Changed from a corset ensemble by the author.
• Eerie Pale-Skinned Brunette
• Rapunzel Hair
• Taken for Granite: One of her spells produce this effect, which allows her to procede in crushing her opponents.
• Technicolor Eyes: Pink eyes, in fact.

Blade

• Blank White Eyes
• Blood Knight: Literally, even!
• The Brute: A much straighter example than Ryder.
• Does Not Like Shoes
• Evil Knockoff: To Noah.
• More Teeth Than the Osmond Family: He also seems to have a motif going on with sharks.
• Morph Weapon/Shapeshifter Weapon: He's the only Lyoko character ever to have blood, which he can then transform into a diversity of weapons, similar to Noah's Mega Manning powers.
• Spikes of Villainy: His hair. Applies to his blood weapons as well.

Nephilim

• A God Am I
• Big Bad Wannabe: While a nasty villain on his own, still can't hold a candle to XANA.
• Blade on a Stick: Fights using a lance.
• Combat Tentacles
• The Dragon: To Lyon.
• Jerkass
• What Do You Mean Its Not Symbolic: As was the case of Seraphim, Nephilim's name also carries Judeo-Christian subtext, referring to the legendary offspring of humans and angels.

Chris McLean

• Can't Get Away with Nuthin': Can't be as evil as he was the past three seasons if the studio can do anything about it.
• He's Back: After Kurt and Carlos are drafted back into government work, he becomes the host again.
• Kick the Son of a Bitch: Kurt and Carlos are more than happy to. Especially Carlos.
• Laser-Guided Karma: This season, he finally gets what many think is his comeuppance.

Carlos

• Badass Normal
• Bunny Ears Lawyer: Very Hot-Blooded, once thought of giving his car a funeral, not to mention all the Noodle Incidents... but along with Kurt, he's the campers' best hope of a relatively safe season.
• Got the Call on Speed Dial: A strange variation in that he doesn't have the phone. To elaborate, Aelita does; for every return to the past, she can use specters from the supercomputer to give them their memories back as a mode of temporary assistance. Nonetheless, he's happy to get some of the action.
• Henpecked Husband: His wife Melissa is probably the only person who can keep him under control.
• Heroic Sociopath: His treatment of Chris, Roberto, and pretty much anyone who pisses him off makes him come across as this.
• Heterosexual Life Partners: With Kurt, along with a good dose of Type 2 Vitriolic Best Buds later on.
• Hot-Blooded
• No Celebrities Were Harmed: Is said to resemble Sylvester Stallone's British cousin.
• Papa Wolf: And HOW!
• Red Oni, Blue Oni: Most definitely the Red.
• Retired Badass: Former member of the SAS.
• Trademark Favorite Food: Klondike bars.
• Trigger Happy: He tries to hide it, but does a pretty sucky job at it.

Kurt

• Badass Normal
• Cool Shades: Noted for wearing these.
• Fiery Redhead: Not always, but he has his emotional moments.
• Got the Call on Speed Dial: Sort of. See Carlos' entry.
• Heterosexual Life Partners/Vitriolic Best Buds (Type 2): With Carlos.
• Not So Different: Often times he can be almost as kooky as Carlos.
• Only Sane Man: Carries himself as such.
• Papa Wolf: Not as much as Carlos, but nontheless fiercely protective of the cast.
• Red Oni, Blue Oni: Blue to Carlos's Red.
• Retired Badass

Lesley

• Badass Normal
  • Badass Bookworm: Given that she is a talented prosecution lawyer.
• Bi the Way: Had a thing with Blaineley in her school years. Chris was rather amused.
• Brainy Brunette
• Charles Atlas Superpower: Can lift a 284-pound man and throw him.
• Green Eyes
• Hello, Attorney!
• Psycho Ex-Girlfriend: Not psycho, but Carlos is still pretty wary of her.
• Team Mom: Albeit not always effective.

Tropes that apply to all the other characters

• Brainwashed and Crazy: All of the Total Drama staff early on due to a XANA scheme. And later, Alejandro.
• Deal with the Devil: Alejandro; it's even the arc title!
• Demoted to Extra: Pretty much half of the Total Drama cast who isn't on the Lyoko team; also the original Lyoko gang (and William).
• Distress Ball: About 60 chapters in, and Aelita still hasn't gotten very close to finding her old friends.
• Everyone Went to School Together: Carlos, Kurt, and Roberto, thus beginning a history of heavy animosity.
• Expository Hairstyle Change: Yumi's grown her hair longer after the two-year Time Skip in the beginning.
• Freudian Excuse: Alejandro and Sierra, to an extent.
• Hidden Depths: Lindsay is revealed to be pretty good at robot making.
• Lethal Chef: As if the blowfish incident back in Island wasn't bad enough, Lindsay's said to named an arson code back home with her experiences at the oven.
• Real Men Hate Sugar: Averted with Roberto, who's the more brutish of the side characters.
• The Sixth Ranger: Up until about chapter 30, the Lyoko group had a pretty conventional Five-Man Band structure. Then came seven more of these guys.
• Spared by the Fanfic: For once, Ezekiel is not voted off first. Doesn't last long though.
  • Eva also sticks around a lot longer than she did in any of the canon seasons and even becomes one of the Warriors.
• Unwitting Pawn: Alejandro in the "Deal With the Devil" arc. Can't kill Gwen and Cody? Oh well, won't be missing you.
