• Battle for Terra is not a Fan Nickname for the endgame of Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep.
  • It is also not an episode of Teen Titans.

• The Beano is not about that pill.
• Bear in the Big Blue House is not an oddly elaborate new slang phrase for saying someone's "in the house", nor is it a Genre Shift spinoff of Cory in The House.

• Beatmania IIDX 13 DistorteD is not IIDX with a distorted screen.
  • beatmania IIDX 14 Gold's theme song is not the eurobeat song "Solid Gold", nor is it played on a solid gold IIDX machine. Besides, a machine made of pure 24K gold wouldn't be very durable anyway.
  • beatmania IIDX 15 DJ Troopers is not a crossover between IIDX and VR Troopers.
  • beatmania IIDX 17 Sirius has nothing to do with satellite radio or Sirius Black, and its tagline is not "Why so Sirius?"

• The Big Red One is not a Sequel Escalation take on Jack London's short story "The Red One" about a bigger, meaner version of the crashed alien probe showing up for revenge.
• Billy vs. SNAKEMAN is not a Mega Man/Double Dragon crossover.
• Birds of Prey has absolutely nothing to do with those cool Klingon ships first seen in Star Trek III the Search For Spock and then would get overused in later Star Trek series. Or the Romulan one either.
  • It's also not a trope about literal birds of prey, no matter how Cool Pet some of them are.
• Bishi Bashi Championship is not a competition in which you beat up Bishounen. Though given its widget factor, a bishounen-beating minigame would fit very well in the game.

• Laputa: Castle in the Sky is nothing like Castle IN SPACE!
  • Castle... IN SPACE? You mean like Firefly?
  • It also has nothing to do with Howls Moving Castle, except that both films were directed by Hayao Miyazaki.
• Castlevania Judgment is not a game where you judge Castlevania games.
• Castlevania: Dracula X is not a crossover of Castlevania and Mega Man X.
  • Nor does the story involve Dracula getting his hands on Chemical X.
• Cave Story is not the story of the company that develops Bullet Hell games.
• Celda 211 has nothing to do with the initially controversial art style of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker.
• Celestial Refresh is not about THE HEALING RAYS OF THE SUN.

• Chars Counterattack is not the result of Ash Ketchum barking orders to his fiery lizard. (Or, in the case of Charizard during the first two seasons, its strategy after Ash tells it to do something completely different.) Nor is it the sequel to Nethack.
• Charlotte Temple is not an area worshipping the candy monster Charlotte or Charlotte Dunois.
• Toasts are almost never given at Cheers.
  • Nor do any of the character run around exclaiming the phrase in a British accent.
• The Child Ballads are not for children. They were collected by Francis James Child.
• A Chrome Shelled Regios is not a really shiny Variable Fighter from Genesis Climber Mospeada.
• Chrono Crusade is not a sequel to Chrono Trigger or Chrono Cross - in fact, in some markets it was released as Chrno (sic) Crusade to make this clear.
  • Nor is it a Crusade lead by Chrono, as awesome as that would be.
• The Chzo Mythos is not the backstory of the Metroid series.
• Cinderella Four By Four is not an Everything's Better with Princesses sequel to Cars.
• Cinderella Man is not a Gender Flip of the original fairy tale.

• Da Capo is not connected to The Mafia.
• "The Joker" (the Steve Miller Band song) is not a Villain Song but about a guy who's many things including a joker.
  • Nor is The Joker in any way a smoker or a midnight toker.
• Dance Dance Revolution is not about revolutionary organizations that dance, nor is it about a political revolution initiated by dancing. Nor is it exclusive to the video game console formerly known as the Revolution.
  • Dance Dance Revolution SuperNOVA is not about dancing to create a super nova.
  • It is also not a sequel to Dance Dance, though the Fall Out Boy song does appear on a mix.
  • DDR also has nothing to do with the Deutsche Demokratische Republik (a.k.a. East Germany), but that might be why it got a Market-Based Title of Dancing Stage.

• Dawn of War is not about controlling cavemen in inter-tribe warfare.

• Banlieue 13 is not a sequel to District9.

• The Divine Comedy isn't particularly funny.
