• Laputa: Castle in the Sky is nothing like Castle IN SPACE!
  • Castle... IN SPACE? You mean like Firefly?
  • It also has nothing to do with Howl's Moving Castle, except that both films were directed by Hayao Miyazaki.
• Castlevania Judgment is not a game where you judge Castlevania games.
• Castlevania: Dracula X is not a crossover of Castlevania and Mega Man X.
  • Nor does the story involve Dracula getting his hands on Chemical X.
• Cave Story is not the story of the company that develops Bullet Hell games.
• Celda 211 has nothing to do with the initially controversial art style of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker.

• Toasts are almost never given at Cheers.

• The Child Ballads are not for children. They were collected by Francis James Child.
• A Chrome Shelled Regios is not a really shiny Variable Fighter from Genesis Climber Mospeada.

• "The Joker" (the Steve Miller Band song) is not a Villain Song but about a guy who's many things including a joker.

• Dance Dance Revolution is not about revolutionary organizations that dance, nor is it about a political revolution initiated by dancing. Nor is it exclusive to the video game console formerly known as the Revolution.
  • Dance Dance Revolution SuperNOVA is not about dancing to create a super nova.
  • It is also not a sequel to Dance Dance, though the Fall Out Boy song does appear on a mix.
  • DDR also has nothing to do with the Deutsche Demokratische Republik (a.k.a. East Germany), but that might be why it got a Market-Based Title of Dancing Stage.

• Daredevil and Devilman have nothing to do with each other.
• Darby O'Gill and the Little People isn't about Fisher-Price toys and therefore doesn't have an Alternate Company Equivalent Owen MacDougal and the Weebles.
• Darker than Black is not the visual equivalent of Quieter Than Silence. Neither is it about a Shade Of Conflict even worse than Black versus Black.
• The Dark Knight Trilogy is not about Sparda. Nor is it about Axel Almer.
• Darksiders is not about The Dark Side.
• Dawn of War is not about controlling cavemen in inter-tribe warfare.
