This is simply what you think is the (not some of the, the) best example of any trope (an objective trope, not subjective, since this already is subjective). The "Crowning Example" if you will.

There could be several reasons you think an example is the best.

  • You thinks it's the best in terms of illustrating the trope.
  • You think it's the most well done.
  • It's your favorite play in that trope.
  • You just really like the source material.

Oh, and each troper gets one example per trope, no more. Also, don't go "no, this is," or phrases like that. This is about our own personal favorites.

Please list tropes alphabetically.

  • Wacky Homeroom
  • Waif Fu
  • "Wake-Up Call" Boss
    • Orion Tsang. So you bulldoze through Stage 1, then comes this boss. And unlike the game up to this point, he does not fuck around.
    • The Vanguard. Imagine this if you will, you buy demon's souls, hearing how Nintendo Hard it was, wanting to see if the reviews and so on were true. you boot up the system, and start a new game. At first your playing the Tutorial and your thinking "Wow, the people that played this game had to be jooking this is EASY." And then, you walk through another wall of fog, expecting nothing to big and then, you see him, five times your size, with a huge cleaver to match. your attacks do little to nothing, and then he takes one swing at you, and that's it. The Vanguard is infamous to anyone who played demon's souls as the one that made one thing painfully clear, Demon's Souls does not fuck around.

CG: YOU MADE AN UNBEATABLE BOSS IS WHAT YOU DID.

Narrator, describing a certain character's actions: The most important character in Homestuck fondly regards the miracle of a new beginning.

TC:shut up.

    • And finally in the End of Act 5...

Doc Scratch: S u c k e r s .
