A

  • Don Adams
    • Don Adams of Get Smart fame provided the voice for the remarkably similar title character Inspector Gadget. When I found this out as a child, I was overjoyed.
  • Marc Alaimo
    • Besides being a (magnificent) bit part actor, he's also "that voice" of Reverend Ray Mc Call in the video games Call of Juarez and Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood.
    • He also voiced the Dean of the Secret Order of Dirty Joke Writers in the Family Guy episode "The Splendid Source".
  • Lori Alan
    • Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater has The Boss, voiced by Lori Alan, who's much more recognizable for her work in various TV commercials, such as Sears and JCPenney. I get nostalgic visions of pillows and bed linens every time she opens her mouth, which could be a bit narmy when she's telling you how to grab someone by surprise and take them down with an extra-violent handshake.
    • She also voiced Pearl from SpongeBob SquarePants, Felina Feral in Swat Kats, and Diane Simmons (as well as various bit parts) in Family Guy.
  • Alan Alda
    • Listening to the audiobook edition of World War Z, one may be surprised during the credits to realize that "That guy who sounds like Alan Alda" actually is Alan Alda.
  • Greg Abbey
    • Brandon [not Sky! Stella's boyfriend!] in the 4Kids! Entertainment dub of Winx Club.
    • Tristan Taylor in Yu-Gi-Oh!. 4Kids dub, of course.
    • I swear I once saw a gum commercial where he was narrating. I'd automatically turn my head because.....hey, Tristan!
    • He's now working for the TLC channel for their promos.
  • Greg Ayres
    • This trope must happen a lot with Greg Ayres. As an adult actor that just happens to have a naturally high voice, if ADV Films has a boy (or child-like male) they need to be filled (particularly if it'd be a challenging role for an actual child)? Chances are he will play it. In fact, he's so well known for playing these sorts of roles that he tends to encounter disbelief when he says he's the gravelly-voiced Hideki in Nerima Daikon Brothers.

B

  • Jim Backus
    • The first time this happened for me was when his four-year-old brain tried to wrap around the "fact" that Mr Magoo and Thurston Howell III of Gilligan's Island were the same person---when your vision is bad and you've got paragnosia, voices are most of how you identify people and other persons.
    • Backus also lent his voice to the Genie in the Bugs Bunny cartoon A-Lad-In His Lamp.
    • He was also the voice of a friendly sewer rat in an 80s anime cartoon: "The Enchanted Journey".
  • Laura Bailey
    • Upon hearing Kuro's voice in the English dub of Kurokami, I thought, "Wow...Raspberyl can really kick some ass!"
    • Really? I was thinking Marta Lualdi.
    • If not her, then Sana Kurata, maybe.
    • Try Keiko Yukimura. First time I ever heard her voice.
    • Tohru of Fruits Basket as well. Laura Bailey is good at the sweet girl role, and she doesn't have a very wide range it appears, so easily recognizable. Not counting Lust from Fullmetal Alchemist.
      • I would highly disagree about her "not having a very wide range". Though her voice is pretty recognizable once you realize where her ranges are ("Sweet girl", "Lust", and "Shin-chan" ranges...and then there's Kaine in NieR, holy crap...)
    • She started out as Kid Trunks and went on to do Evangeline A.K. McDowell.
      • She was Ayaka Yukihiro in Negima too; I don't know about you, but I couldn't tell they were the same person just by listening. Girl's got talent.
    • Proves she can pull off some hammier roles too with Rise Kujikawa in Persona 4. The character herself is not a Large Ham most of the time, but Laura was clearly having a lot of fun during the 'King's Game'.
    • Say whatever you want about the Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love trailer, but the narration is the last thing I needed to determine if I would pre-order.
    • I did not care about Soul Eater until I was asked to listen to the English trailer and pay attention to Maka's voice.
    • According to her official site, she's playing Serah from Final Fantasy XIII. I think it's rather sweet that Laura's actually three years younger than Ali Hillis (the voice actress playing Lightning).
    • Laura Bailey is also the lovable Shin from the Funimation Dub of Crayon Shin-chan.
    • Also Chun Li in Street Fighter IV/Super Street Fighter 4 and the female!Courier (who oddly sounds like Lust) and an NCR commander in Fallout: New Vegas.
  • (Long) John William Baldry
    • I watched ReBoot and was surprised to hear Dr. Robotnik's voice coming out of Gavin Capacitor's mouth...both are voiced by the late Long John Baldry, and both also happen to be Large Hams who sport long red mustaches.
    • I guess he did give himself a prrromotion!
    • There's another joke we could make here, but it would just be in bad taste. So don't you dare make it, you...you...DOUBLE USER.
  • Kathleen Barr
    • When this troper first watched Make Way For Noddy, his jaw dropped when Martha Monkey spoke with the exact same voice and enthusiasm as Wheezie from Dragon Tales.
  • Dante Basco
    • Dante Basco voiced Zuko and Jake Long, fueling shipping fantasies everywhere.
    • Ru...fi...O!
    • Who would have thought Zuko could dance? He played one of the Dungeon Kids, Ramos, in Take the Lead!
    • Why did This Troper find that pouty Oranyan voice so familiar when Aion's English beta came out? Because it's Prince Zuko, of course!
    • I'm a little ashamed to say I recognized him, not as Rufio, not as Zuko...but as Corey from "Extreme Days". Yeah, that christian Romantic Comedy about extreme sports. I saw it in my youth group in high school, as my church had actually received a free copy.
    • I think for me the height of awkwardness was hearing a random cocoon resident in FFXIII speak in Zuko's voice. I burst out laughing at how silly that association was.
    • How 'bout the time he played a homosexual varsity wresler?Anyone?
  • Jodi Benson
    • If you're one of the rare people who watched the '90s Spider-Man cartoon BEFORE Disney's The Little Mermaid, you're not going to be able to NOT think Ariel fell in love with Spidey. She even has red hair!
    • Jodi Benson also voiced Millenia in the RPG Grandia II: A sassy (and demonic) redhead with a taste for men.
    • She even has a memorable cameo in Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind
    • And she's Tour Guide Barbie in Toy Story 2 (who, in the obligatory gag-reel outtakes at the end, complains about having to be smiling and perky all the time).
      • And, by extension, Barbie in Toy Story 3.
    • She was also Tula in The Pirates of Dark Water.
  • Paul Bettany
    • Silas? What are you doing working with Tony Stark? (Paul Bettany did both Silas and Jarvis).
  • Amy Birnbaum
    • Of particular note here might be the voice actress Amy Birnbaum. If nothing else, she's definitely not typecasting herself, having played many varying types of character. Her list to date includes Tea Gardner in Yu-Gi-Oh!, Lilly in Shaman King, several characters in Sonic X including anime-exclusive character Cosmo, Stella in Winx Club, Scarlett and the Baroness in G.I. Joe: Sigma 6 and probably a few others we're not aware of.
    • Didn't she voice Charmy Bee from Shadow the Hedgehog onward?
  • Mel Blanc
    • If you've watched a lot of Looney Tunes shorts you could pick up Mel Blanc's voice almost anywhere, for example Private Snafu, Secret Squirrel, and Heathcliff sound like Bugs Bunny, Mr. Spacely sounds like Yosemite Sam, Barney Rubble sounds like Hugo the Abominable Snowman and Hula Hoop sounds like Marvin the Martian.
    • In addition to being the voice of just about ALL the classic Warner Bros animated characters (except Elmer Fudd and the ones voiced by June Foray, Stan Freberg, Bea Benaderet, or Billy Bletcher), he was Twiki the robot, Tucker the mouse, Speed Buggy, Jack Benny's famous Maxwell car, The Monkees' car, and dozens more.
    • He also voiced the father of Bob and Doug McKenzie in Strange Brew.
  • Brian Blessed!
    • The game may not have been great, and the actor could've been missed due to his uncharacteristic un-hammy performance; but the Admiral in Warhammer 40,000 Firewarrior was voiced by BRIAN BLESSED.
    • The villianous Clayton in Disney's Tarzan is BLESSED-- as is the Tarzan yell, as Tarzan's regular voice actor couldn't do it vigorously enough!
    • BLESSED voices Boss Nass, too!
    • And now, he's in your GPS, too!

"Bang."

    • Since Blum does so many kinds of voice acting, it's always weird to hear Spike or Todoh try to sell me something in a TV commercial.

"Oh thank heaven."

    • Steve Blum is the voice for Captain Bartlett in Ace Combat 5. So, essentially, you're flying wingman for Spike Spiegel...
    • He's also in a number of anime series (I have ID'd a naval officer in Ghost in the Shell and a random merc in Anime/Trigun) and as the commander in Company of Heroes and Star Wars: Empire At War. A quick browse of his IMDB page shows that he has been rather busy over the years...
      • It's a rarity these days to find an anime or game without Blum's voice acting, that's how prolific he is. Off the top of my head, he also voices at least 5 characters in the .hack games (both series) and Daelan Red Tiger in the original Neverwinter Nights campaign. She also did a facepalm upon recognizing him as the voice of Wolverine in the original X-Men Legends game.
      • "One chance is all I need."
    • I, out of nostalgia, popped in the original Rugrats game for the PS 1 when my friends came over. When I was playing the final level as Reptar, the reporter voiceover sounded oddly familiar. Checked the credits, saw Steve Blum, laughter ensued.
    • I was incredibly surprised when I heard The Green Goblin in the phenomenal new Spectacular Spider-Man series, that has a laugh that is equally as disturbing as Mark Hamill's as The Joker, was the gravelly Steve Blum.
    • One of the reasons this Troper loved Flamedramon so much.
    • Steven Blum has also been the voice of Vincent Valentine.
    • He also voices Ulquiorra in Bleach: Shattered Blade, the video game for the Wii. Sadly he didn't stay in the anime.
    • You'd never guess it, or at least I didn't, but he plays Falcomon in Digimon Data Squad. The thing that makes it unbelievable is that he uses an English accent.
    • Oh, by the way...
    • I cannot watch The Big O because it's way too distracting. (Interesting note, though: if you put Faye in a suit and give her a bleach job, you get Angel!)
    • Kazuma from S-Cry-ed.
    • Makoto Shishio from Rurouni Kenshin.
    • Blum also voiced the guards in Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes. This Troper always found it funny to imagine Snake fighting off a bunch of Spike Spiegel clones. Hell, it might have made for a better game.
    • For a good laugh, play STALKER: Clear Sky, Steve Blum with a very heavy Russian/Ukrainian accent.
    • He shows up as soldiers in a whole bunch of first person shooter games, perhaps most notably Captain Foley in the original Call of Duty. If you need some soldier voices for your shooter game he's apparently the go-to guy in the industry. This can result, as in Quake IV, in encountering Steven talking to himself or walking out of a room containing one Steven to be instantly confronted with another. He is everywhere. Always watching...
    • This troper was surprised to find him as the voice of Grunt.
    • In another Bioware Title, he voices Oghren in Dragon Age, and returned in its expansion. That's a main character. God knows where he finds the time to do everything he does.
    • He's also Andrei, the unsetting Tzimisce elder in Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines. If you listen carefully you can tell it's him, but it might not be obvious at first.
    • His Zabuza Momochi is identical to his Wolverine voice.
    • Don't forget, he voiced all the G-Men...
    • This troper was delighted to find Blum voicing Barricade in Transformers: War For Cybertron.
      • He also does the voiceover for the beginning of each chapter of the campaign.
      • And he'll be Starscream in Transformers Prime.
    • He also voices Grayson Hunt
    • He now voices the Red Skull in Avengers Earths Mightiest Heroes, meaning he now has had the honor of voicing two of Marvel's Complete Monsters. The Other being Green Goblin of course.
    • He also did the voices of Vilgax, Heatblast, and "baby Heatblast" (at least) in the original Ben 10.
    • Ares, the titular God of War.
    • Dark Star, the Top Ranked Assassin in "No More Heroes".
    • He is the ass-kicker Taskmaster to your ass-kickee.
    • He puts on an Australian accent as John Sinamoi from Dead Island.
    • He is the baddest mofo in town, the all-powerful breakdancing Edo period samurai Mugen.
    • The Shadow Broker is...Spike Spiegel?
    • He's a German archaeologist in The Dig, but may be more recognizable as the tracking station guy in the intro, and the friendly alien at the end.
    • The title character from Great Teacher Onizuka.
    • You can add Cliff Hudson and Roger Hall from Dead Rising to the list.
  • Tom Bodett
    • Tom Bodett is somewhat known as a radio personality, very well known as the voice of Motel 6 commercials ("We'll leave the light on for ya."), and also the narrator of several Animaniacs segments ("Good Idea, Bad Idea", "Mime Time", and The Movie, Wakkos Wish).
  • Jessica Boone
    • Jessica has a "kind, but shy & unconfident young girl" voice that she used for Misaki Suzuhara and Azmaria Hendric.
    • She was also the rather more self-assured Nayuki Minase in Kanon.
    • Now that you mention it, Arumi Asahina does sound like Chiyo-chan if she were older and had an Osakan accent...
  • Powers Boothe
    • Powers Boothe played the visionary genius Gorilla Grodd on Justice League, then was an ambitious politician on 24. It's funny to hear Grodd trying to govern the country.
  • David Boreanaz
    • I thought Leon Squall in Kingdom Hearts sounded awfully damn familiar and couldn't figure out why. It got to the point where it was driving me nuts, so I looked it up on Wikipedia and was all Hey! No wonder- it's Booth and Angel!
    • He also did the voice for Hal "Green Lantern" Jordan in 2008's Justice League: The New Frontier.
  • Johnny Yong Bosch
    • Ichigo Kurosaki, Vash the Stampede, Itsuki Koizumi, and Lelouch Lamperouge are all voiced by Johnny Yong Bosch, the main differences being they are angry, goofy, calm, and... a strange combination of the first and third, respectively. You might also remember him from his live-action role of Adam Park.
    • Let's not forget Kiba, Renton Thurston, GuyNero (whom he also did the mocap for), Kaneda, Rossiu, Shuusuke Fuji, and Emil Castagnier. The last one is a weird case, in that he usually sounds like Renton, except when he's using the power of Ratatosk; then he sounds like Ichigo/Lelouch.
      • The constantly suffering Albert de Morcerf from Gankutsuou and Adachi from Persona 4. He also provides the voice bits for the Main character.
    • And maggot-obsessed Reiji from Gate Keepers.
    • On the subject of Valkyrie Profile 2, HOW has NO ONE noticed Ichigo playing the role as a villain?
    • Go watch an episode of Trigun in the English version. Pay attention to Vash's voice. Then go play any of the three .hack//GU games, again in English. Surprise! Johnny Yong Bosch is there as well, playing another gun-toting, lovable character named Kuhn. The resemblance between the two is actually almost eerie.
    • He also played Archer and PJ in Ace Combat 5 and Zero respectively. They actually sound the same in both roles.
    • Strangely enough in Persona 4, I can recognize the usually cheerful Guy Cecil from Tales of the Abyss in Adachi, yet my sister can see that darker and rougher side of the former in the Protagonist.
    • And he's Firion in Dissidia Final Fantasy. Firion's voice is alternately a dead ringer for Ichigo or Lelouch, depending on the scene. It's uncanny, really.
      • He's recently been cast as Sasori, who sounds like an odd cross between Itsuki and Lelouch.
    • And he's even in Seirei no Moribito as the First Prince and some random mook. Made this troper think that every anime that is not dubbed by 4-Kids has to have at least him, Steven Blum, Vic Mignogna, or Yuri Lowenthal.
    • He's also two versions of the same historical figure and both tends to slaughter hordes of enemies.
    • And now, with Marvel vs. Capcom 3, he's Zero.
    • Izaya, anyone?
    • Not to mention all the roles he's played under the pseudonym Kevin Hatcher, such as Yuichi Taira in Paranoia Agent.
  • Chris Britton
    • Soichiro Yagami of Death Note is voiced by Chris Britton, who also voiced Mr. Sinister in the 90s animated X-Men series.
  • Andrea Bowen
    • And on the topic of FFVII, here's a weird internal one: In Advent Children there is a random little girl voiced by Andrea Browen, those who have played 'Crisis Core will recognize her as Aerith's new VA.
  • Steve Burton
    • Considering the voice he uses for Cloud is his real voice, it's a bit... distracting every time Burton talks on General Hospital

C

  • Christine Cavanaugh
    • As long as we're on the subject of Sonic the Hedgehog, Christine Cavanaugh's divine drawl as Bunnie was pretty darn evident in her turn as Rugrats' Chuckie, just for starters. The only reason we don't hear more of her is her retirement a few years back.
    • She also guest starred on The X-Files.
    • Not to mention Gosalyn, Dexter, and Oblina.
    • Christine was the voice of Babe (the piglet).
    • Also voiced Marty Sherman, whose in-show father is another prime example of this trope.
    • She also voiced a chocolate-graham goldfish in a recent Goldfish Crackers commercial.
  • Isshin Chiba
    • If you ever wonder why Tekken's Jin has such a familiar Evil Laugh, you've probably played the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure arcade fighter: both are voiced by Chiba Isshin, who is so good that he pulled off the Kiai without any modification.
  • Kevin Clash
    • I was recently watching clips of the show Dinosaurs on YouTube, and was shocked to realize that the baby (of "Not the Mama!" fame) had the same voice as Elmo.
    • That's Kevin Clash, who's done tons of other Muppet work, including an attempt at Sam the Eagle in one of the recent TV movies.
    • Many people (especially the ones who disliked Elmo) may be surprised to find he was also the voice of Splinter in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies.
  • Christopher Collins (Latta)
    • From the original series, Starscream was voiced by Chris Latta, who was also the voice of Cobra Commander in G.I. Joe.
      • However, he was NOT the voice of Rasp, The Starscream from Dino-Riders, despite the fact that whoever did Rasp's voice-most sources say it was Frank Welker-did it in a voice more or less identical to Latta's Starscream/Cobra Commander voice. So it was pretty much that voice, but not that guy.
  • Justin Cook
    • This Troper noted that Justin Cook lent his distinctive vocal cords to an episode of Fullmetal Alchemist. It was really, really hard not to think of Yusuke Urameshi that whole time.
    • I, who heard Jusin Cook as Dietrich from Trinity Blood first, keeps expecting Yusuke to suddenly go insane and try to destroy the world.
      • I had the same reaction when I heard Hatsuharu speak for the first time.
      • Apparently, Chiba (his character in BECK) actually calls out a guy named Yusuke, I started laughing immediately.
      • On the other hand, he voiced Bellamy for One Piece and I swear everyone who didn't know it was him thought it was Brian Drummond.
  • Stephanie Courtney
    • Believe it or not, Joy Peters is Flo from Progressive.
  • Henry Corden
    • Corden, who took over as the voice of Fred Flintstone in 1977 after Alan Reed died, dubbed in scrubbed up dialogue for Jackie Gleason's more blue dialogue (as Buford T. Justice) in commercial TV screenings of Smokey and the Bandit.
  • Terry Crews
  • Bing Crosby
    • He sang the Shell theme song in one of their commercials. As he started doing so, the animated Shell logo/mascot in the lower right corner said "I know that voice!"
    • Bing also sang and narrated the "Sleepy Hollow" segment from Disney's The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad, as well as providing the voices for Ichabod Crane and Brom Bones.
    • He was also one of the singers in a classic Little Lulu short. Look it up.
  • Peter Cullen
    • Peter Cullen has not only voiced Optimus Prime since the '80s (Ironhide too, but only in the 80s) -- during most of that time, he also provided the voice of Eeyore in Disney's various Pooh offerings. Once you're aware of that, you soon realize that the only difference is one of attitude, not timbre.

"Thanks for noticing me," said the forty-foot robot.

    • Speaking of Knight Rider, the voice of KITT's Evil Twin KARR was provided by none other than Peter Cullen, an actor who would later become very well known for voicing another vehicle of radically different morality.
    • Not to mention helping out another giant robot who needed a narrator, and then a commander for its second incarnation. "From Days Of Long Ago...From Uncharted Regions Of The Galaxy...Comes A Legend...The Legend Of...Voltron, Defender Of The Universe." To use the vehicle analogy again, that intro is like the supremely cool hood ornament on a sweet set of wheels.
    • Cullen was not only the narrator, but also voiced Coran in the GoLion series (Lion Voltron) and Commander Hawkins in the Dairugger XV series (Vehicle Voltron)
    • Cullen also did most of the commercials for Toonami, and still announces for Cartoon Network from time to time.
    • Hearing the voice of Optimus Prime saying Bobobo-Bo Bo-bobo was one of the more Narmful television viewing moments for me.
    • He also does the occasional beer commercial.
    • And no-one will soon forget his show-stealing performance in Fallout 3 as Liberty Prime, who is basically an extremely anti-Communist Expy of Optimus Prime.

Liberty Prime: Death is a preferable alternative to Communism!

  • Bill Curtis
    • Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy has this real-life anchorman doing the opening and closing narration. Most people know him from A&E crime-show narration ("the Menendez brothers..."), but for anybody who grew up watching him on CBS 2-WBBM in Chicago, this was a special treat.

D

  • Jim Dale
    • Harry Potter fans will probably recognize the distinctive voice of Jim Dale, who has done the American audiobooks of the series and also lent his voice to various DVD extras. This Troper was a little surprised to find his voice on Pushing Daisies.
      • Don't watch Pete's Dragon, then, or your head asplode. (Dale plays the villain.)
  • Tim Daly
    • A rare live action/animated crossover. I have a hard time watching Tim Daly in Private Practice without thinking "hey, it's Superman: The Animated Series! He'll save the day!"
    • He also plays Mr. Kusakabe in Disney's redub of My Neighbor Totoro
  • Anthony Daniels
    • While most famous for playing the droid C-3P0, Daniels has had roles in which he appeared out of costume, including The Coroner on Prime Suspect.
  • William Daniels
    • William Daniels, best known to tropers below a certain age as Mr. Feeney on Boy Meets World and to tropers above a certain age as Dr. Craig on St. Elsewhere was not credited for his role as the voice of KITT in Knight Rider. I didn't make the connection until hearing him in the even earlier 1776.
  • Eddie Deezen
    • Ned the Buenos Natchos Manager from Kim Possible, is the exact same voice as the fast food manager in first season of Chuck.
    • Not to mention Mandark, and the Know-It-All from The Polar Express. I began to age rapidly when I realized that, to kids from here on in, he will be better (and perhaps only) known as the Know-It-All than either Mandark or especially, The Primal Nerd from Grease.
    • He also uses his future Mandark voice for Snipes in Rock-a-Doodle.
    • Did you forget the pilot episode of Darkwing Duck? That's him as the ram.
    • He also played a politically correct comedian in the Duckman episode "Joking the Chicken".
  • Grey DeLisle
    • I actually pointed at the screen at that point and shouted "OMG, it's Azula! This Random Asari diplomat must be trying to trick me somehow!". He laughed muchly when it turned out he was right.
    • Jacqueline Natla is voiced by Grey DeLisle in both Tomb Raider "Anniversary" and "Underworld". Natla, especially in "Underworld", sounds exactly like Azula.
    • I did a double-take the first time I heard Azula talk, I never expected the voice actress for Mandy and Vicky to show up on Avatar: The Last Airbender.
    • And don't forget that she's also the current Daphne...and Frankie!
    • And Sam!
    • Who is, creepily enough, also Emily Elizabeth Howard on Clifford the Big Red Dog.
    • And also Betty Brant. Which made me whimper and curl into the fetal position when I found out, because Azula scares her. I can't hear Betty's voice anymore without having...issues.
    • She's the Wasp in the Ultimate Avengers movies too.
    • In The Superhero Squad Show she's Ms. Marvel.
    • Not to mention Lizzie and the titular character on Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!
    • Don't forget her roles as Riley and Brandon.
    • Or Kimiko.
    • She's also Fire. I guess she isn't worried about being typecast as a flame wielding lady.
    • Nah, after her work as Black Canary, everyone now will expect her to sing—and awesomely.
      • She also sang in-character as Emily Elizabeth in a Clifford The Big Red Dog tribute album (that was coincidently published after John Ritter's death). Her singing was awesome. The album not so.
    • I was being chewed out for incompetence by Therese Voreman when he suddenly realized she sounded awfully familiar. Especially considering what you later find out about her
    • And now she's Scarlet from the G.I. Joe: Resolute series.
    • Azula's voice, is Viconia. And Nalia. And Raelis Shai. And Illasera. The Baldur's Gate people got their money's worth from her.
    • Now that I realize that she is also Asajj Ventress, Mandy seems scarier.
    • Various roles in the Knights of the Old Republic and Neverwinter Nights series as well.
    • And Padme in the Star Wars: Clone Wars cartoons (but not the CGI series).
    • And, also, female Bounty Hunter from The Old Republic.
    • And Lor
    • A REALLY monstrous asari businesswoman in Mass Effect and its sequel.
    • Nova and every Banshee in StarCraft II.
    • The female Wizard in Diablo III, the fact that her portrait looks like Azula definitely helps too.
  • Jack DeSena
    • Though his appearance was brief, when This Troper heard Jimmy Olson (Jack DeSana) on The Batman he immediately thought "WTF, Sokka?"
  • James Doohan
    • In Star Trek: The Animated Series, James Doohan voiced not only his signature character of Montgomery Scott ("Scotty") but also many others, including Lieutenant Arex, Commodore Robert April in "The Counter-Clock Incident" and Agmar in "The Infinite Vulcan."
  • D.C. Douglas
    • This man's fantastic voice is probably most recognizable as that of Resident Evil's ultimate Big Bad, Albert Wesker. He has also shown up as Commandant Alexei in Tales of Vesperia, Jazz in Eternal Sonata, and Legion in Mass Effect 2, not to mention numerous live TV shows and movies.
    • What you probably didn't realize was that he was the voiceover narration in the GEICO commercials—not the CGI gecko, but the voice that says:

"GEICO. A fifteen-minute call could save you fifteen percent or more on car insurance."

    • He's also Grimoire Noir in NieR, and sounds almost identical to the voice he uses for Wesker.

Back to Hey, It's That Voice!
